[Machine] A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, does Islam have an end?" He (the Prophet) said, "No, as long as there are people (meaning the people of the House of the Prophet)."

And in another place, he said, "Yes, whenever Allah intends good for the people of any Arab or non-Arab household, He guides them to Islam." The man asked, "What happens after that?" He (the Prophet) said, "Then there will be trials and tribulations like patches of darkness." The man asked, "Will there be a way out from them?" He (the Prophet) said, "Yes, by Allah, if Allah wills." The man asked, "Do they return to the same situation of discord?" He (the Prophet) said, "Yes, and I swear by the one who has my life in His hand, they will become even more divided amongst themselves."  

رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ لِلْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ مُنْتَهَى؟ قَالَ أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ؟ وَقَالَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ أَوِ الْعُجْمِ أَرَادَ اللهُ بِهِمْ خَيْرًا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْإِسْلَامَ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَهْ؟ قَالَ ثُمَّ تَقَعُ الْفِتَنُ كَأَنَّهَا الظُّلَلُ قَالَ كَلَّا وَاللهِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ قَالَ بَلَى وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ تَعُودُونَ فِيهَا أَسَاوِدَ صُبًّا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ  

[Machine] An Arab man said: "O Messenger of Allah, does Islam have an end?" He (the Prophet) replied: "Yes, whoever from the Arab or non-Arab people that Allah desires good for, He will enter them into Islam." The Arab man asked: "And then what, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet replied: "Then tribulations will occur, like layers of darkness." The Arab man said: "No, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed, and by the One in Whose Hand is my soul, you will surely witness harshness among yourselves."  

أَعْرَابِيٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ لِلْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ مُنْتَهَى؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ أَوِ الْعُجْمِ أَرَادَ اللهُ ﷻ بِهِمْ خَيْرًا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْإِسْلَامَ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ ثُمَّ تَقَعُ فِتَنٌ كَأَنَّهَا الظُّلَلُ فَقَالَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ كَلَّا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَلَى وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِيهَا أَسَاوِدَ صُبًّا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْرِقَابَ بَعْضٍ  

[Machine] An Arab man said, "O Messenger of Allah, does Islam have an end?" He said, "Yes, whoever from among the Arabs and non-Arabs whom Allah intends good for, He will enter them into Islam." They said, "Then what, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Then there will be trials and tribulations like patches of dark night." An Arab man said, "No, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, you will certainly have leadership and its whips striking your necks."  

أَعْرَابِيٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ لِلْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ مُنْتَهَى؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ وَالْعَجَمِ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهِمْ خَيْرًا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْإِسْلَامَ» قَالُوا ثُمَّ مَاذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ يَقَعُ فِتَنٌ كَأَنَّهَا الظُّلَلُ» قَالَ فَقَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ كَلَّا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِيهَا أَسَاوِدَ صُبًّا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ»  

[Machine] An Arab man said, "O Messenger of Allah, does Islam have a limit?" He replied, "Yes, whoever among the Arab or non-Arab people that Allah intends good for, He will enter Islam upon them. Then, the trials will occur to them like the darkness of the night."  

أَعْرَابِيٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ لِلْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ مُنْتَهًى؟ فَقَالَ «نَعَمْ أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ وَالْعَجَمِ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهِمْ خَيْرًا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْإِسْلَامَ ثُمَّ تَقَعُ الْفِتَنُ كَأَنَّهَا الظُّلَلُ»  

[Machine] An Arab man said, "O Messenger of Allah, does Islam have any limit?" He replied, "Yes, whoever Allah intends good for, He guides them to Islam, whether they are Arabs or non-Arabs." The man asked, "What then, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Then there will be trials like layers of darkness." The man said, "No, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, and by the One in whose hand is my soul, you will return to that state, holding onto the reigns of ignorance, striking each other's necks. The best people on that day will be a believer who isolates himself in a mountain pass, fearing Allah and leaving people to their harm."  

أَعْرَابِيٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ لِهَذَا الْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ مُنْتَهًى؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا مِنْ عَرَبٍ أَوْ عَجَمٍ أَدْخَلَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ» قَالَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ تَقَعُ فِتَنٌ كَالظُّلَمِ» قَالَ كَلَّا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «بَلَى وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِيهَا أَسَاوِدَ صُبًّا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ فَخَيْرُ النَّاسِ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُؤْمِنٌ مُعْتَزِلٌ فِي شِعْبٍ مِنَ الشِّعَابِ يَتَّقِي اللَّهَ وَيَذَرُ النَّاسَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ»  

"أَيُّمَا أهْلِ بَيتٍ مِنَ العَرَبِ والعَجَم أرَادَ اللهُ تعالى بِهِمْ خَيرًا أدْخَلَ عَلَيهِمْ الإِسْلامَ، ثم تكُونُ فِتَنٌ كأنها الظُّلَلُ، والذي نَفْسِى بيَدِهِ لَتَعُودُنَّ فيهَا أَسَاودَ صُبًا يَضْربُ بَعْضُكُمْ رقَابَ بَعْضٍ، أَفْضَلُ النَّاسِ يَوْمَئِذ مُؤمِنٌ مُعْتَزِلٌ فِي شِعْبٍ مِنَ الشِّعَاب يَتَّقِي رَبَّهُ، وَيَدعُ النَّاسَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ".  

" عَنْ كُرْزِ بنِ عَلْقَمَةَ الخُزَاعِىِّ قَالَ: قَالَ أَعْرابِى: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ! هَلْ للإسْلَامِ مُنْتَهى؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، أيُّمَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ والْعَجَم أَرَادَ الله بِهِم خيْرًا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيْهم الإسْلَامَ، قَالَ: ثم مه؟ قَالَ: تكونُ فِتَنٌ كَأَنَّها الظُّلَلُ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: كَلَّا وَالله إنْ شَاءَ اللهُ يا رَسُولَ الله، فَقالَ رسولُ الله ﷺ : بَلَى والَّذِى نْفسِى بِيَدِهِ لتَعُودُنَّ فِيها أساود ضبا (*) يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ، فَأفْضَلُ النَّاسِ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُؤْمِنٌ مُعْتَزِلٌ فِى شِعْبٍ مِن الشِّعَابِ يَتّقِى رَبَّهُ وَيَدعُ النَّاسَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ".
