23. Chapter of Kāf (Male) (8/8)
[Machine] "He went out with his father to a funeral that the Prophet Muhammad witnessed, and I was a boy who understood. The Prophet Muhammad said, 'Allah loves it when a person does good when they work.'"
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "O people, seek Paradise with your efforts and run away from the fire with your efforts. Indeed, Paradise does not sleep for its seeker, and indeed, the Fire does not sleep for its escapee. Behold, the Hereafter is surrounded by dislikes, and indeed, the world is surrounded by desires."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The eldest among siblings is like a father."
[Machine] "Abu Al-As ibn Ar-Rabi' married the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and her mother is Halah bint Khwailid ibn Asad ibn Abdul-Uzza ibn Qusay, the sister of Khadijah bint Khwailid, her father and mother being Fatimah bint Zaidah. He is the son of Jundub ibn Harim ibn Rawahah ibn Hujr ibn Abd ibn Ma'is ibn Amir ibn Lu'ay and it is said that the name of Abu Al-As ibn Ar-Rabi' is Muhasham, and he was also called Jiro Al-Bathha. Az-Zubayr said: Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan and Yahya ibn Muhammad narrated to me, they said: The name of Abu Al-As ibn Ar-Rabi' is Laqit. Az-Zubayr said: Muhammad ibn Ad-Dhahhak narrated to me from his father, he said: The name of Abu Al-As ibn Ar-Rabi' is Al-Qasim, and this is confirmed in his name. Abu Al-As ibn Ar-Rabi' passed away in the month of Dhul-Hijjah in the twelfth year."
[Machine] That Zainab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , embraced Islam while her husband, Abu al-'As ibn al-Rabi', remained a polytheist. Later, he embraced Islam, but they did not renew their marriage contract. 'Abd al-Razzaq said, "And Ma'mar mentioned it from Jabir from al-Sha'bi".
[Machine] He informed him that Abu Al-Aas ibn Al-Rabee' ibn Abdul-Uzza ibn Abdul-Manaf was married to the Prophet's daughter and was brought to the Prophet for ransom. Zainab came to him. Umar said, "I think they were only reconciled in marriage during the period of ignorance."
[Machine] Zaynab, the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ , and her husband, Abu al-'As bin ar-Rabi', were originally polytheists but later they embraced Islam. The Prophet ﷺ then approved their marriage.
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , rejected Abu Al-'As marrying Zainab through the first marriage contract and did not update anything. There was a difference of opinion regarding this matter, and some said it was a new marriage contract."
