[Machine] That Zainab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , embraced Islam while her husband, Abu al-'As ibn al-Rabi', remained a polytheist. Later, he embraced Islam, but they did not renew their marriage contract. 'Abd al-Razzaq said, "And Ma'mar mentioned it from Jabir from al-Sha'bi".  

الطبراني:١٦٥٦٣حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ

أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَسْلَمَتْ وَزَوْجُهَا مُشْرِكٌ أَبُو الْعَاصِ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ثُمَّ أَسْلَمَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِحِينٍ فَلَمْ يُجَدِّدْ نِكَاحًا قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ «وَذَكَرَ مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ»
