[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Spitting in the mosque is a bad deed, but burying it is a good deed."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Spitting in a mosque is a sin, and its expiation is that it should be buried.  

مسلم:٥٥٢a – وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْبُزَاقُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَطِيئَةٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا  

abudawud:475 – Musaddad > Abū ʿAwānah > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Spitting in the mosque is a sin and it is expiated by burying the spittle.  

أبو داود:٤٧٥ – حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْبُزَاقُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَطِيئَةٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا  

tirmidhi:572 – Qutaybah > Abū ʿAwānah > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

the Messenger of Allah said: "To spit in the Masjid is a sin, and burying it is its atonement."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:٥٧٢ – حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
