The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade fasting on the Day of Fitr and the Day of Adha.

ابن ماجة:١٧٢١ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ قَزَعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمِ الأَضْحَى

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمَيْنِ يَوْمِ الأَضْحَى وَيَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ

muslim:1140 – Ibn Numayr from my father > Saʿd b. Saʿīd > ʿAmrah > ʿĀʾishah

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) said that the Prophet ﷺ forbade to observe fast on two days-the day of Fitr and the day of Adha.

مسلم:١١٤٠ – وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَمْرَةُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَوْمَيْنِ يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمِ الأَضْحَى

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'n-Nadr, the mawla of Umar ibn Ubaydullah, from Sulayman ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade fasting on the days of Mina.

مالك:٢٠-١٣٨ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ صِيَامِ أَيَّامِ مِنًى

Yahya related to me from Malik from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade fasting on two days - the day of the Id al-Fitr and the day of the Id al-Adha.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray on the day of Fitr and the day of Adha before the khutba.
