Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to offer the prayer of ʿId-ul-Adha and ʿId-ul-Fitr and then deliver the Khutba after the prayer.  

البخاري:٩٥٧ – حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسٌ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي الأَضْحَى وَالْفِطْرِ ثُمَّ يَخْطُبُ بَعْدَ الصَّلاَةِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray on the day of Fitr and the day of Adha before the khutba.  

مالك:١٠-٣ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمَ الأَضْحَى قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ  

ahmad:5663 – Ḥammād b. Masʿadah > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ الْأَضْحَى وَالْفِطْرَ ثُمَّ يَخْطُبُ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ  

ذِكْرُ اسْتِوَاءِ الْعِيدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَنْ يَكُونَا قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ

ibnhibban:2826 – Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan b. Abū Shaykh Bikafr Tawthā from Diyār Rabīʿah > Maymūn b. al-Uṣbaʿ > Ḥammād b. Masʿadah > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْفِطْرَ وَالْأَضْحَى ثُمَّ يَخْطُبُ»
