9. Book of Ṣalāh
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of days in the sight of Allah are the Day of Sacrifice and the Day of Arafah."
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ used to not leave on the day of Eid until he had breakfast, and he would not eat on the day of sacrifice until he had sacrificed."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to break his fast with dates and then have his morning meal.
[Machine] "I heard Anas ibn Malik say, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never went out on the day of Eid al-Fitr until he had eaten three, five, or seven dates.'"
[Machine] The translation of the given Arabic text is: "The Prophet ﷺ used to return from the two Eids taking a different route from the one he took when he went out."
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to bring them (the women) out on the day of Fitr and the day of Nahr.” Umm ‘Atiyyah said: “We said: ‘What if one of them does not have an outer covering?’ He said: ‘Let her sister share her own outer covering with her.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1307)
"Messenger of Allah would order the virgins, the mature women, the secluded and the menstruating to go out for the two Eid. As for the menstruating women, they were to stay away from the Musalla and participate in the Muslims supplications." One of them said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What if she does not have a Jilbab? He said: 'Then let her sis lend her a Jilbab.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 539)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went out on the day of Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha and performed two units of prayer with the people, then he left without praying before or after it.
I prayed the 'Id prayer with the Prophet ﷺ not once or twice (but many times) without the adhan and the iqamah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1148)
"Umar bin Al-Khattab asked Abu Waqid Al-Laithi what Messenger of Allah would recite during Al-Fitr and Al-Adha, so he said: 'He would recite: Qaf, By the Glorious Quran and the Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 534)
It was narrated from Nu’man bin Bashir that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite “Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,” [Al-A’la (87)] and “Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming?” [Al-Ghashiyah (88)] in the ‘Eid prayer. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1281)
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite 'Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High'(Al-A'la 87) and 'Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)?' (Al-Ghashiyah 88) in the Jumu'ah prayer, and sometimes 'Eid and Jumu'ah would fall on the same day, and he would recite them in both 'Eid and Jumu'ah prayer." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1424)
Ibn ʿAbbas was asked whether he had joined the Prophet ﷺ in the ʿId prayer. He said, "Yes. And I could not have joined him had I not been young. (The Prophet ﷺ came out) till he reached the mark which was near the house of Kathir bin As-Salt, offered the prayer, delivered the Khutba and then went towards the women. Bilal was accompanying him. He preached to them and advised them and ordered them to give alms. I saw the women putting their ornaments with their outstretched hands into Bilal's garment. Then the Prophet ﷺ along with Bilal returned home. (Using translation from Bukhārī 977)
[Machine] "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. Or Ata' said, 'I bear witness that Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophetﷺ went out on the day of Eid with his companions, performed prayer, then gave a sermon. He then came to the women and commanded them to give charity, and they began to throw it.'"
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered the sermon on the day of Eid standing on both of his feet.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to pray the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha prayers, then he would deliver a sermon.
