9. Book of Ṣalāh
[Machine] This is a Hadith from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . It says: "The sun does not rise or set on a day better than Friday. Every creature is in a state of panic on the day of Friday except for these two: jinn and humans."
Five deeds done on a Friday that guarantee Jannah
that He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There are five actions that if done in a day, Allah will write the person from the people of Paradise: (1) visiting a sick person, (2) attending a funeral, (3) fasting for a day, (3) going to Jumuah prayer, and (5) freeing a slave."

[Machine] He said, "I went out to At-Tur and met Ka'b Al-Ahbar, so I sat with him and he told me about the Torah. I also told him about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . In what he narrated, I said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it, Adam was created, on it he entered Paradise, on it he was expelled, on it he died, on it the Trumpet will be blown, and on it all creatures will swoon. Every beast is on the lookout from the time the sun rises until it has risen, fearing the coming of the Hour, except the Jinn and humans. There is an hour on Friday that no Muslim slave stands when praying and asks Allah for anything but He will give it to him.'" Ka'b said, "That happens every year on a day." I said, "No, but every Friday." Ka`b said, "So I read the Torah and he (i.e., the Prophet) said, 'The Messenger of Allah has spoken the truth.'"
[Machine] Where did you come from? I said I came from Mount Tur. He said, "If I had met you before you went out to it, I would not have gone out to it. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The pilgrimage is not to be done except to three mosques: the Sacred Mosque, this Mosque of mine, and the Mosque of Elijah or the Mosque of Jerusalem.'" He doubted which of the two.
[Machine] Kab (the man) said, "And this happens every year, one day." Abdullah ibn Salam said, "Kab is lying." I said, "Then he (Kab) recited the Torah." Abdullah ibn Salam said, "No, it is every Friday." Abdullah ibn Salam said, "Kab is telling the truth." Then Abdullah ibn Salam asked, "Do you know which hour it is?" He (Kab) said, then Abu Hurairah said, "Inform me of it and do not keep me in suspense." Abdullah ibn Salam said, "It is the last hour on Friday." Abu Hurairah said, "But how can it be the last hour on Friday when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'No Muslim servant will come across it while he is praying?'" And that is an hour in which no prayer is offered." Abdullah ibn Salam said, "Did not the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever sits waiting for the prayer, he is in prayer until he prays it?'" Abu Hurairah said, "Yes, he did." Abdullah ibn Salam said, "That is what it is."

9.32 [Machine] Friday Prayer
[Machine] Abū al-Qāsim ﷺ said, "On a Friday, there is an hour in which no Muslim is standing and praying, asking Allah for something good, except that Allah will grant it to him."
[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: "On every door of the mosque, there are two angels who take turns in writing. The first angel records the first (person) to enter, whether it be a man who came with a camel, a cow, a sheep, a bird, or an egg. When the imam sits down (to deliver the sermon), the records are folded up."
Whoever takes bath due to sexual defilement on Friday and goes out (for Friday prayer), is treated like one who offers a camel as sacrifice; he who goes out in the second instance as one who offers a cow; he who goes out in the third instance is treated as one who offers horned cow ; he who goes out in the fourth instance is treated as one who offers hen ; he who goes out in the fifth instance is treated as one who offers an egg. When the Imam comes out (for sermon), the angels too attend to listen to the sermon. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 351)
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Whoever performs Ghusl on the day of Jumu'ah (Friday) and purifies himself as much as he is able to from impurity, then applies perfume or the fragrance of his house, then goes to the Jumu'ah prayer without causing any separation between two people, and then prays what is apparent to him, then when the Imam comes out, he remains silent, his sins between that Jumu'ah and the next Jumu'ah will be forgiven."
“There is nothing wrong with any one of you, if he can afford it, buying two garments for Friday, other than his daily work clothes.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1096)
[Machine] Narrated Abu Hurairah and Abu Said Al-Khudri: We heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever takes a bath on the day of Jumu'ah (Friday), purifies himself as much as he can, uses perfumes if available, wears the best of his clothes, then goes to the mosque and offers whatever prayer is prescribed and remains silent when the Imam delivers the Khutbah (sermon), his sins between that Friday and the next will be forgiven."
If anyone performs ablution, doing it well, then come to the Friday prayer, listens and keeps silence, his sins between that time and the next Friday will be forgiven, with three days extra; but he who touches pebbles has caused an interruption. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1050)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever takes a bath on the day of Friday, purifies himself thoroughly, wears his best clothes, and applies some perfume from his house or musk, then he will be forgiven for what is between that day and the next Friday, and an extra three days."
[Machine] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever washes on the day of Friday, then takes a bath, and hastens and comes early, listens attentively and remains silent, and does not harm, Allah will write for him a reward of fasting and praying for every step he takes as if it were a year.'"
[Machine] The messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Take a bath on the day of Friday and wash your heads, unless you are in a state of impurity, and touch some fragrance."
[Machine] "The prayer of travel, the prayer of breaking the fast, the prayer of sacrifice, and the Friday prayer consist of two complete units of prayer, not shortened, as mentioned by your Prophet ﷺ."
The mention of the differences of those who preceded us in Friday when it was imposed upon them.
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'We are the last (to come) but will be the foremost on the Day of Resurrection, but they were given the Book before us and we were given it after them. They differed concerning this day which Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, had prescribed for them and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, guided us to"--meaning Friday--"so the people follow us, the Jews the next day and the Christians the day after that.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1367)
He heard Ibn Abbas and Ibn Umar narrate that while he was on the minbar, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "People should stop neglecting Jumu'ah or Allah will place a seal on their hearts and they will be deemed as being among the negligent." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1370)
The Prophet ﷺ said: He who leaves the Friday prayer (continuously) for three Friday on account of slackness, Allah will print a stamp on his heart. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1052)
the Messenger of Allah said: “Verily, when the slave (of Allah) commits a sin, a black spot appears on his heart. When he refrains from it, seeks forgiveness and repents, his heart is polished clean. But if he returns, it increases until it covers his entire heart. And that is the ‘Ran’ which Allah mentioned: ‘Nay, but on their hearts is the Ran which they used to earn.’” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3334)

[Machine] Abdullah ibn Masoud entered the mosque and the Prophet ﷺ was delivering a sermon. He sat beside Ubayy ibn Ka'b and asked him about something or spoke to him about something, but he did not respond to him. Ibn Masoud thought that Ubayy did not hear him. When the Prophet ﷺ finished his prayer, Ibn Masoud said to Ubayy, "O Ubayy, what prevented you from responding to me?" Ubayy said, "You did not attend Jumu'ah (Friday) prayer with us." Ibn Masoud asked why, and Ubayy replied, "You were speaking while the Prophet ﷺ was delivering a sermon." Ibn Masoud then got up and went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him about what had happened. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Ubayy spoke the truth, obey Ubayy."

[Machine] He said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon to us and recited S (Surah Sad), and when he came to the prostration verse, he descended and prostrated, so we prostrated with him. He recited it again, and when he reached the prostration verse, we prepared ourselves for prostration. When he saw us, he said: 'Indeed, it is the repentance of a Prophet, but I see that you have prepared for prostration.' Then he descended and prostrated, so we prostrated with him."
