ذِكْرُ وَصْفِ مَا يَقْرَأُ الْمَرْءُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْعِيدَيْنِ

ibnhibban:2820 – ʿUmar b. Saʿīd b. Sinān > Aḥmad b. Abū Bakr > Mālik > Ḍamrah b. Saʿīd al-Māzinī > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh

"Umar bin Al-Khattab asked Abu Waqid Al-Laithi what Messenger of Allah would recite during Al-Fitr and Al-Adha, so he said: 'He would recite: Qaf, By the Glorious Quran and the Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 534)  

ابن حبّان:٢٨٢٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ سَأَلَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى؟ قَالَ «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ بِ ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ وَاقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرَ»

abudawud:1154 – al-Qaʿnabī > Mālik > Ḍamrah b. Saʿīd al-Māzinī > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUtbah b. Masʿūd

'Umar b. al-Khattab asked Abu Waqid al-Laithi: What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite during the prayer on the day of sacrifice and on the breaking of the fast ? He replied: He recited at both of them Surah al-Qaf, "By the Glorious Quran" [50] and the Surah "The Hour is nigh" (54).  

أبو داود:١١٥٤ – حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ سَأَلَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ مَاذَا كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الأَضْحَى وَالْفِطْرِ قَالَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِيهِمَا { ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ } وَ { اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ }  

tirmidhi:534 – Isḥāq b. Mūsá al-Anṣārī > Maʿn b. ʿĪsá > Mālik b. Anas > Ḍamrah b. Saʿīd al-Māzinī > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUtbah

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:٥٣٤ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ سَأَلَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ بِهِ فِي الْفِطْرِ وَالأَضْحَى قَالَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ ب(ق والقرآنِ الْمَجِيدِ ) (اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ )

Yahya related to me from Malik from Damra ibn Said al-Mazini from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utba ibn Masud that Umar ibn al-Khattab asked Abu Waqid al-Laythi what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in the prayers of Adha and Fitr. He said, "He used to recite Qaf (Sura 50) and al-lnshiqaq (Sura84)."  

مالك:١٠-٨ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ سَأَلَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ مَا كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الأَضْحَى وَالْفِطْرِ فَقَالَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِ ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ وَ اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ  

ahmad:21896 – ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Mahdī > Mālik > Ḍamrah b. Saʿīd > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] Omar ibn Al-Khattab asked Abu Waqid Al-Laythi what the Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , used to recite during Eid. He replied, "He used to recite 'Qaf' and 'Iqtarabat'."  

أحمد:٢١٨٩٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ سَأَلَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ بِمَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِيدِ؟ قَالَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِ (قَ) وَ (اقْتَرَبَتْ)  

عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ

tabarani:3298 – Abū al-Zinbāʿ Rawḥ b. al-Faraj > Saʿīd b. ʿUfayr > Ibn Lahīʿah > Abū al-Aswad > ʿUrwah b. al-Zubayr > Abū Wāqid al-Laythī > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed prayer with the people on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. He began the prayer by making seven takbirs (saying Allahu Akbar) in the first rakah, then recited Surah Al-Qamar and Surah Al-Majid. In the second rakah, he made five takbirs and recited Surah Al-Qamar. The hour has drawn near and the moon has split."  

الطبراني:٣٢٩٨ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُفَيْرٍ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنِ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى فَكَبَّرَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى سَبْعًا وَقَرَأَ ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ خَمْسًا وَقَرَأَ اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ»  

nasai-kubra:11486 – Qutaybah b. Saʿīd > Mālik > Ḍamrah b. Saʿīd > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh
