Malik related to me from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the wala'.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ

[AI] We used to pray with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the Maghrib prayer when it got dark with the veil.

كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَغْرِبَ إِذَا تَوَارَتْ بِالْحِجَابِ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray Maghrib prayer when the sun set and disappeared behind the veil, according to the narration of Abu Salih.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ إِذَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَتَوَارَتْ بِالْحِجَابِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Spitting in the mosque is a sin, and its expiation is to bury it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْبُزَاقُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَطِيئَةٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا

[AI] He recited upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the verses: "By the star when it goes down, your companion has not strayed."

أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَى فَلَمْ يَسْجُدْ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited silk, except like this," and he pointed with his two fingers that were next to his thumb, saying, "So we did not understand that he meant flags."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ إِلَّا هَكَذَا وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ اللَّتَيْنِ يَلِيَانِ الْإِبْهَامَ قَالَ فَمَا عَتَّمْنَا أَنَّهُ يَعْنِي الْأَعْلَامَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited silk except like this and he pointed with his two fingers that were next to the thumb and said, "So we understood that he meant clothing."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ إِلَّا هَكَذَا وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ اللَّتَيْنِ تَلِيَانِ الْإِبْهَامَ قَالَ فَمَا عَتَّمْنَا أَنَّهُ يَعْنِي الْإِعْلَامَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Today, a righteous man has passed away, so pray for As'hamah."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَاتَ الْيَوْمَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ فَصَلُّوا عَلَى أَصْحَمَةَ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Save yourselves from the Hellfire, even if it is by giving half a date in charity."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ

[AI] About the prophet ﷺ , that he did it.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ فَعَلَهُ

[AI] "I heard Ibn Umar saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to come to the Mosque of Quba on foot and riding."

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْتِي مَسْجِدَ قُبَاءَ رَاكِبًا وَمَاشِيًا

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: "Whoever performs Hajj to this House (Kaaba) and does not commit any obscenity or commit any sin, will come back as free from sins as the day his mother gave birth to him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَجَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ فَلَمْ يَرْفُثْ وَلَمْ يَفْسُقْ رَجَعَ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ

[AI] Regarding the exchange, both of them say that the Prophet ﷺ forbade selling paper for gold as a debt.

عَنِ الصَّرْفِ فَكِلَاهُمَا يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَرِقِ بِالذَّهَبِ دَيْنًا

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he forbade accepting sales.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ تَلَقِّي الْبُيُوعِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Injustice is darkness on the Day of Judgment."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الظُّلْمُ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] "Regarding the Prophet ﷺ, he said: 'The one who returns to his gift is like a dog that returns to its vomit.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ كَالْكَلْبِ يَعُودُ فِي قَيْئِهِ

[AI] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said: Whoever leaves behind wealth, it belongs to his inheritors, and whoever leaves behind debt, it is upon us."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِوَرَثَتِهِ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ كَلًّا فَإِلَيْنَا

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Judgment, in terms of rewards and booty.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْخَيْرُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِي الْخَيْلِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ الْأَجْرُ وَالْغَنِيمَةُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever leaves behind wealth, it belongs to his heirs, and whoever leaves behind a debt, it is upon us."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِوَرَثَتِهِ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ كَلًّا فَإِلَيْنَا

[AI] God's Messenger has given us the choice, so we did not consider it as divorce.

ؓ قَدْ خَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ نَعُدَّهُ طَلَاقًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited it on the day of Khaybar and also prohibited the consumption of donkey meat.

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْهَا يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْإِنْسِيَّةِ

[AI] Bintu Zam'ah gifted her day to Aisha, and so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would allocate a day for her, known as the day of Sowdah.

بِنْتُ زَمْعَةَ ؓ وَهَبَتْ يَوْمَهَا لِعَائِشَةَ ؓ فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْسِمُ لَهَا بِيَوْمِ سَوْدَةَ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "The first thing to be settled among people on the Day of Resurrection is the matter of blood."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَوَّلُ مَا يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فِي الدِّمَاءِ يَعْنِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] From the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , he said: "There is no contagious disease, nor is there any bird omen. And I am amazed by the righteous person's favorable outcome and the good word."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَالُ الصَّالِحُ الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَسَنَةُ

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: For every betrayer, there will be a banner on the Day of Judgment. One of them will be raised and the other will be exposed, and on the Day of Judgment, he will be identified by it."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لِكُلِّ غَادِرٍ لِوَاءٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا يُنْصَبُ وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ يُرَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُعْرَفُ بِهِ

[AI] Anas said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade tormenting animals.

أَنَسٌ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُصْبَرَ الْبَهَائِمُ

[AI] I saw the Prophet ﷺ eating chicken.

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَأْكُلُ الدَّجَاجَ

[AI] Anas narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade restraining animals.

أَنَسٌ ؓ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُصْبَرَ الْبَهَائِمُ

[AI] I used to ride behind the Prophet ﷺ on a donkey called 'Ufair' and he mentioned the event.

كُنْتُ رِدْفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَلَى حِمَارٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ عُفَيْرٌ وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, "A decision should not be made between two parties while the judge is angry."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَقْضِي حَكَمٌ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ وَهُوَ غَضْبَانُ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Insulting a Muslim is immorality, and fighting against him is disbelief."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ heard saying: Allah has not granted permission for anything like the permission granted to a Prophet with a beautiful voice to recite the Quran aloud.

سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا أَذِنَ اللهُ لِشَيْءٍ مَا أَذِنَ لِنَبِيٍّ حَسَنِ الصَّوْتِ بِالْقُرْآنِ يَجْهَرُ بِهِ

[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with Al-Hasan on his shoulder, and he was saying, "O Allah, I love him, so love him."

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَالْحَسَنُ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ فَأَحِبَّهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the sale of allegiance and its gifting.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَهِبَتِهِ
