Malik related to me from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the wala'.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
Malik related to me from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the wala'.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade Al-Qaza' (leaving a tuft of hair here and there after shaving one's head.)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْقَزَعِ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the practice of An-Najsh.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ النَّجْشِ
The Prophet ﷺ forbade the selling of the Wala' (of slaves) or giving it as a present.
نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the selling or donating the Wala' of a freed slave.
سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till their benefit is evident. He forbade both the seller and the buyer (such sale).
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُبْتَاعَ
Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited Shighar.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الشِّغَارِ
'Abdullah (b. 'Umar) (Allah be pleased with him) said that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the transaction called habal al-habala.
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ حَبَلِ الْحَبَلَةِ
Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the outbidding (against another).
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ النَّجْشِ
Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits until they were clearly in good condition, he forbade it both to the seller and to the buyer.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُبْتَاعَ
Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (or forbade us) the sale of fruits until they are ripe in a good condition.
نَهَى أَوْ نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَطِيبَ
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Ad-Dubba' (gourds).
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Ad-Dubba' (gourds).
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ
the Messenger of Allah forbade selling animals in exchange for animal's ion credit.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْحَيَوَانِ بِالْحَيَوَانِ نَسِيئَةً
the Messenger of Allah forbade selling the produce several years in advance.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ السِّنِينَ
the Messenger of Allah forbade selling loyalty or giving it away.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
the Messenger of Allah forbade selling loyalty or giving it away. (Shah)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
"The Messenger of Allah forbade selling loyalty or giving it away." (Sahih)]
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
the Messenger of Allah forbade selling water.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَاءِ
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade giving a false impression."
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الزُّورِ
"We heard that the Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade filing (the teeth) and tattoos."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْوَشْرِ وَالْوَشْمِ
"We heard that the Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade filing (the teeth) and tattoos."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْوَشْرِ وَالْوَشْمِ
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah forbade Ash-Shighar.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الشِّغَارِ
the Messenger of Allah forbade meeting traders on the way.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ التَّلَقِّي
'Aishah reported a similar tradition from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِمَعْنَاهُ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the transaction called habal al-habalah.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ حَبَلِ الْحَبَلَةِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of excess water.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the right to inheritance by a manumitted slave.
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
Al Zuhri said “we were with ‘Umar bin ‘Abd Al Aziz, there we discussed temporary marriage. A man called Rabi bin Saburah said “I bear witness that my father told me that the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ had prohibited it at the Farewell Pilgrimage.”
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْهَا فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the use of) the skins of beasts of prey.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ جُلُودِ السِّبَاعِ
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited selling date-palms until they have blossomed."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَزْهُوَ
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited selling the Wala' and conferring it."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَهِبَتِهِ
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited selling the Wala' and [from] conferring it.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
The Messenger of Allah forbade urinating into standing water.
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ أَنْ يُبَالَ فِي الْمَاءِ الرَّاكِدِ
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling the right of inheritance or giving it away.”
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling the right of inheritance, or giving it as a gift.
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling for many years ahead.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ السِّنِينَ
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling animals for animals on credit.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْحَيَوَانِ بِالْحَيَوَانِ نَسِيئَةً
It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah forbade celibacy. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3213)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ التَّبَتُّلِ
By Allah, I am certain that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that. (Using translation from Aḥmad 101)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah forbade Ash-Shighar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3334)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الشِّغَارِ

سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ
It was narrated from Ibn ʿUmar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling the offspring of the offspring that is still in the womb of a camel. (Using translation from Aḥmad 394)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ حَبَلِ الْحَبَلَةِ
By Allah, I am certain that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that. (Using translation from Aḥmad 101)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْهُ فَتَرَكْنَاهُ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the right to inheritance by a manumitted slave. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2919)
سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الْحَيَّاتِ
Nafi' reported that he heard Abu Lubaba informing Ibn 'Umar that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden the killing of domestic snakes. (Using translation from Muslim 2233f)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ جِنَّانِ الْبُيُوتِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the right to inheritance by a manumitted slave. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2919)
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ»
