Be quiet, my daughter. Don't you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said:" The deceased is punished because of his family's weeping over the death"?  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ  

The dead is punished because of the lamentation of the living.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَىِّ  

"The deceased is punished due to the weeping of his family for him."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ  

"Salim said: 'I heard 'Abdullah bin 'Umar say: 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah said: The deceased is punished due to his family's weeping for him."'  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُعَذَّبُ الْمَيِّتُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ  

The Messenger of Allah said: "The deceased is punished for the crying of his family over him."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ  

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The deceased is tormented because of his familyʿs crying for him.”  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يُعَذَّبُ الْمَيِّتُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ  

The dead is punished because of the lamentation of the living. (Using translation from Muslim 930)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَيِّ  

ʿUmar ؓ said to me: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “The deceased is tormented because of the weeping of his family over him.ʿ  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿThe deceased is tormented because of the weeping of his family over him.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 315)   

عَنِ الْبُكَاءِ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ  

"Aishah said: Rather the Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime increases the punishment of the disbeliever due to some of his family's weeping for him."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1857)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الْكَافِرَ لِيَزْدَادَ عَذَابًا بِبَعْضِ بُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ»  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿThe deceased is tormented because of the weeping of his family over him.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 315)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ»  

ʿUmar ؓ said to me: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “The deceased is tormented because of the weeping of his family over him.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 386)  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Verily, the deceased is punished by the weeping of his family."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحِيِّ  

Be quiet, my daughter. Don't you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said:" The deceased is punished because of his family's weeping over the death"? (Using translation from Muslim 927a)   

"إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ ببُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ".  

("إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُعَذَّبُ ببُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا قَالُوا: وَاجَبَلَاهُ! ، وَاعَضُدَاهُ! ، وَاسَنَداهُ ! ".

"إِنَّ الله لَيَزيدُ الْكَافِرَ عَذَابًا بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِه عَلَيهِ".  

"يُعَذَّبُ الْمَيِّتُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ".  

"الميِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ".
