Malik related to me from Hisham ibn Urwa that his father used to rent out his land for gold and silver. Malik was asked about a man who rented his field for 100 sa of dates or part of its produce of wheat or from other than its produce. He disapproved of that.

Abu Bakr asked the people who were present at the time of his being struck, and they testified against him forty times. Abu Bakr hit him forty times with a whip. Then Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) continued to hit him in front of the people until people started following him in hitting Khalid. Umar consulted and struck him eighty times. This continued

Ishaq ibn Mansur informed us that Habban informed us that Wuhayb narrated to us from Suhail from his father from a man who embraced Islam similar to him [221]. Ishaq ibn Mansur informed us that Abu Nuaim said that Zuhayr narrated to us from Suhail from his father from a man who embraced Islam. He said, "I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when a man from his companions came to him and said, 'I was stung by a scorpion yesterday.'" Qutaibah ibn Sa'id informed us that Sufyan narrated to us from Suhail from his father from a man who embraced Islam. He said, "I was with the Prophet ﷺ and a man from the Ansar came to him and said in the end, 'If Allah wills.' Rabia ibn Sulaiman informed us that Asad ibn Musa said that Shu'bah narrated to us from Suhail and his brother from their father from a man who embraced Islam that he was bitten, so he went to the Prophet ﷺ towards him." Ahmad ibn Sulaiman informed us that Ubaidullah narrated to us that Isra'il narrated to us from Abdul Aziz ibn Rufay' from Abu Salih in a letter.

that Kaʿb had a slave girl who used to graze his sheep on a small mountain, called "Sl'a", situated near the market. Once a sheep was dying, so she broke a stone and slaughtered it with it. When they mentioned that to the Prophet, he, permitted them to eat it.

I was a man who emitted a great deal of madhi, but I felt too shy to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ because of his daughter, so I told Al-Miqdad to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a man who finds madhi. He said: ʿThat is the water of the male, and every male has water, so let him wash his private part and testicles and do wudoo’ as for prayer.ʿ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that Zayd ibn Thabit asked whether it was halal for a man who married a woman and then separated from her before he had cohabited with her, to marry her mother. Zayd ibn Thabit said, "No. The mother is prohibited unconditionally. There are conditions, however about foster-mothers."

Then Abu Al-Husayn Ibn Al-Fadl Al-Qattan informed us that Abdullah Ibn Ja'far narrated to us, and Ya'qub Ibn Sufyan narrated to us, and Al-Mu'alla Ibn Asad narrated to us, and Wuhayb narrated to us from Ayyub, from Abu Qilabah, from a man of Banu 'Amir, who said, "I met him and asked him, so he informed me about a man from their group who came to the city in search of his lost camels and had entered upon the Prophet ﷺ, and he narrated the story in the same way. Al-Thawri also narrated it from Ayyub, from Abu Qilabah, from Anas Ibn Malik Al-Khazraji, and Ma'mar narrated it from Ayyub, from Abu Qilabah, from a man of Banu 'Amir, that a man named Anas informed him. Khalid Al-Hadha' narrated it from Abu Qilabah as well, and Yazid Ibn Abdullah Ibn Al-Shikhair narrated it from a man of Banu 'Amir, that a man from among them came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Yahya Ibn Abi Kathir also narrated it from Abu Qilabah, from Abu Ummayah or Abu Al-Muhajir, from Abu Ummayah, who said, "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and his name was Ummayah Anas Ibn Malik Al-Khazraji."

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُقَاتِلُ شَجَاعَةً وَيُقَاتِلُ حَمِيَّةً وَيُقَاتِلُ رِيَاءً أَىُّ ذَلِكَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَاتَلَ لِتَكُونَ

[Machine] About a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , I see him as Ibn Umar. He said, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, 'Whoever resembles a people, then he is one of them. If someone does not repent, Allah will resemble him with them on the Day of Judgment.'" Husayn said, "Whoever resembles with the Rooh (a nation or community)."

[Machine] "On the authority of a companion of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Perhaps you recite (the Quran) while the imam recites it twice or three times?" They said, "O Messenger of Allah, we do so." He said, "Do not do so, unless one of you recites Al-Fatiha, the opening chapter of the Book."

[Machine] It was narrated by a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in prayer. Khaled then interrupted me for a moment, and then he said, "O Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepter of repentance, the Merciful," one hundred times.

On the authority of a man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ: People differed among themselves on the last day of Ramadan (about the appearance of the moon of Shawwal). Then two bedouins came and witnessed before the Prophet ﷺ swearing by Allah that they had sighted moon the previous evening. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded the people to break the fast. The narrator Khalaf has added in his version: "and that they should proceed to the place of prayer (for 'Id)". (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2339)

So we asked him, and he looked at us attentively and said, 'You may take whatever you wish, as there is no right for the rich or the strong in it.' And in another narration by As-Saffar, he looked up and corrected."

عَنْ رَجُلَيْنِ قَالَا أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَقْسِمُ نَعَمَ الصَّدَقَةِ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ فَصَعَّدَ فِينَا النَّظَرَ وَصَوَّبَ فَقَالَ مَا شِئْتُمَا فَلَا حَقَّ فِيهَا لِغَنِيٍّ

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ أَلَا إِنَّ فِي قَتِيلِ الْخَطَأِ شِبْهِ الْعَمْدِ قَتِيلِ السَّوْطِ وَالْعَصَا الدِّيَةَ مُغَلَّظَةً

رَوَاهُ جَمَاعَةٌ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ فَأَقَامَ إِسْنَادَهُ

[Machine] About a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, who reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ confirmed the oath that they had taken in the pre-Islamic era. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled in a dispute among some of the Ansar (helpers) concerning a man who claimed to have killed a Jew.

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَقَرَّ الْقَسَامَةَ عَلَى مَا كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَقَضَى بِهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ نَاسٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ وَأَخْرَجَهُ أَيْضًا مِنْ حَدِيثِ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ وَيُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ إِلَّا أَنَّ حَدِيثَ

He prayed Subh and recited Ar-Rum, but he stumbled in his recitation. When he had finished praying he said: 'What is the matter with people who pray with us without purifying themselves properly? Those people make us stumble in reciting Quran.'"

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى صَلاَةَ الصُّبْحِ فَقَرَأَ الرُّومَ فَالْتَبَسَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قَالَ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يُصَلُّونَ

There is no doubt that it was ‘Ali ؓ - said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the two who witness it, the one who writes it is down, the one who does tattoo the one for whom tattoos are done, the one who marries a woman and is divorces her so that she become permissible for her first husband, the one for whom that is done and the one who withholds zakah. And he forbade wailing.

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا أَشُكُّ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ ... وَالْمُحِلِّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ

[Machine] "About a man who performed a unit (rak'ah) of the morning prayer and then the sun rose. He said: "I have completed it." Then the sun rose fully and he said: "Tell me, Khalas, on the authority of Abu Ruhayrah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'He completes his prayer.'"
