The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu ‘Umrah through a different chain of narrators to the same effect. But this version has “Three Persons” and added “To the horseman three portions.”  

أبو داود:٢٧٣٥حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ آلِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ بِمَعْنَاهُ إِلاَّ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ ثَلاَثَةَ نَفَرٍ زَادَ فَكَانَ لِلْفَارِسِ ثَلاَثَةُ أَسْهُمٍ
