[Machine] Narrated by Abu Rafi, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ : I was a servant to Abbas ibn Abdul-Muttalib and I had already embraced Islam, along with Umm al-Fadl. Abbas also embraced Islam but he kept his conversion a secret due to fear of his people. Abu Lahab, on the other hand, had turned away from the Battle of Badr and sent Akhtab ibn Hisham in his place. Akhtab owed a debt to Abbas, so he asked him to cover his debt in return for joining the battle. Abbas agreed, and when news of the battle arrived, Allah inflicted punishment upon Abu Lahab. I was weak at that time and I used to carve these (stone) vessels in a small room. Abu Lahab passed by me and, by Allah, I was sitting in the room carving the vessels while Umm al-Fadl was by me. Abu Lahab saw her and started dragging her by her legs. I said to him, "This is Umm al-Fadl, the sinner, the wife of Abbas, and you see her dragging on the ground?" He replied, "O nephew! Go away and mind your own business." So, Abu Lahab went away and sat next to the pillar in front of the room, with his back towards me. People said, "This is Abu Sufyan ibn al-Harith." Then Abu Lahab called me saying, "O nephew! Come here." I went to him and he said, "O nephew! Look at the people. How did they react?" I said, "By Allah, they did not move except when we met them and they attacked us and we defended ourselves. They killed us as they pleased and captured us as they pleased."
By Allah, when I saw the people, I could not bear it. I took the pillar of the room and said, "By Allah, these are the angels." Abu Lahab raised his hand to slap me, but I ducked and his blow struck my face instead. Umm al-Fadl witnessed this and she held him back. I then picked up a piece of the pillar and hit him with it, causing a deep wound on his head. She said, "You enemy of Allah, have you oppressed him when you see his master absent?" Abu Lahab became submissive and, by Allah, he did not live for more than seven nights before Allah struck him with a disease that killed him. His sons left him for two or three nights until they buried him. A man from Quraish said to his sons, "Aren't you ashamed? Your father has died and you have left him in his house." They replied, "We fear this disease." Quraish used to avoid the disease like they would avoid the plague. The man said, "I will go with you." They replied, "By Allah, they only washed him by throwing water at him from distant places and then they carried him and threw him on top of a wall. They stoned him to death."

I said: 'I did not find among the camels but a superior selection of Raba'. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Give it to him, for indeed the base of people is the best of them in repaying.'" the Prophet ﷺ asked a man to give as a loan a young camel and said: “When the camels of the Sadaqah come, we will pay you back.” When the camels came, he said: " O Abu Rafi', pay this man back for his Young camel." But all I could find was a seven-year-old camel or that which is better. I told the Prophet ﷺ and he said: "Give it to him, for the best of People are those who are best in repaying." [Machine] "The Messenger of Allah did not command me to descend the hill, but I hit his dome and then he descended." Sufyan said, and Amr ibn Dinar narrated this Hadith from Salih ibn Kaysan. When Amr ibn Dinar came to us, he said to us, "Go to him and ask him about this Hadith."
[Machine] When Fatimah gave birth to Hasan, she said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I perform the 'Aqiqah for my son?" He replied, "No, but shave his head and give in charity an amount equivalent to the weight of his hair, either in gold or silver, to the poor." And when she gave birth to Husayn, she did the same with him. And Musa ibn Dawud mentioned in his narration, "to the poor and the needy."
[Machine] It was narrated that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I made a vow to sacrifice a great sheep for the sake of Allah, but now I am unable to fulfill it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not sacrifice anything, but instead, shave the hair of his head and give its weight in silver in charity for the sake of Allah, to be distributed among the poor." Then the woman gave birth to Imam Hussain bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) the following year, and she did as the Prophet ﷺ instructed with him.

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever preserves what is between his two cheeks (the tongue) and his two thighs (the private parts) will enter paradise."
[Machine] The following passage translates to: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to purchase two fattened, healthy, and matching male sheep when he performed the Eid sacrifice. When he would address the people and lead the prayers, he would bring one of them and sacrifice it with his own hands using a sharp knife. Then, he would say, 'This is on behalf of my entire Ummah, whoever testifies to your Oneness and testifies for me.' After that, he would bring the second sheep and sacrifice it with his own hands, saying, 'O Allah, this is for Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.' He would then distribute the meat among the poor, and both he and his family would consume from it."
[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , used to bring two fat, horned, and salted rams when he performed the Eid prayer. After delivering the sermon and making the salutations, he would slaughter one of them while standing in his prayer place, saying, "O Allah, this is on behalf of my Ummah, anyone who testifies to Your Oneness and believes in my message." Then, he would bring the other ram and slaughter it himself, saying, "O Allah, this is on behalf of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad." He would eat from both of them and feed his family and the poor people. This continued for many years, and no man from the Banu Hashim family would slaughter a ram, as Allah had provided for them through the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ .

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to buy two healthy rams when he intended to sacrifice. Then, when he prayed and delivered the sermon, he would call one of them while it was in the place of prayer, and slaughter it. Afterwards, he would say, "O Allah, this is on behalf of my entire Ummah, whoever testifies to Your Oneness and testifies in support of my message." Then he would go to the other ram and slaughter it, and say, "O Allah, this is on behalf of Muhammad and his family."

[Machine] The translation of the passage is: "It is narrated that when the Prophet ﷺ heard the call to prayer, he would say as the Mu'adhin said, and when the Mu'adhin says 'Hayya 'ala-salah' (Come to prayer), he would respond, 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no power or strength except with Allah)."

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated to us, and Ali ibn al-Mubarak al-San'ani narrated to us, and Isma'il ibn Abi Uwais narrated to us, they said: Ya'qub ibn Muhammad ibn Tahla narrated from Abu al-Rijal, from Salim ibn Abdullah, from Abu Rafi', he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me to kill the dogs. So I went out and killed every dog that I encountered, until I came to the outskirts. There I found a dog near a house, so I prepared to kill it. Then a woman from the house called out to me and said: "What do you want?" I said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me to kill the dogs." She said: "Go back to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and inform him that I am a woman who has lost her sight. He permits me to have someone guide me and keeps the wolves away from me." So I went back to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him. He said: "Go back and kill it." So I went back and killed it.
