[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came to a gathering where each one of us had a nickname or two. When he called a person by their nickname, we would say, "O Messenger of Allah, this nickname bothers this person." He replied, "And you have descended {And do not insult one another by nicknames}" [Al-Hujurat: 11].

"We were sitting in a gathering, and the Prophet ﷺ came with traces of water on his head. One of us said to him: 'We see that you are of good cheer today.' He said: 'Yes, praise is to Allah.' Then he spoke to the people about being rich. He said: 'There is nothing wrong with being rich for one who has piety, but good health for one who has piety is better than riches, and being of good cheer is a blessing." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2141)

ahmad:23229Abū ʿĀmir > ʿAbbād / Ibn Rāshid > al-Ḥasan > a man from Banī Salīṭ

[Machine] He passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was sitting at the door of his mosque, with his head covered and wearing a garment that had a hole through which there was no other garment. He was saying, "A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim; he does not wrong him or let him down." Then he pointed to his chest and said, "Here is Taqwa (piety), here is Taqwa."

ahmad:23230Muʿāwiyah b. ʿAmr > Zāʾidah > al-Rukayn b. al-Rabīʿ b. ʿUmaylah > Abū ʿAmr al-Shaybānī > a man from al-Anṣār

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Horses are of three types: a horse that a man uses for the cause of Allah the Almighty, so its cost is a reward, its riding is a reward, its grooming is a reward, and its feeding is a reward. And a horse that a man restrains and uses for gambling, so its cost is a sin, its grooming is a sin, its riding is a sin, and a horse meant for vanity. Perhaps it may be a means of payment for poverty, if Allah wills."
