The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a person supplicating during prayer. He did not mention the greatness of Allah, nor did he invoke blessings on the Prophet ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: He made haste. He then called him and said either to him or to any other person: If any of you prays, he should mention the exaltation of his Lord in the beginning and praise Him; he should then invoke blessings on the Prophet ﷺ; thereafter he should supplicate Allah for anything he wishes. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1481)

Do not ask about these three types. They will be ordered to go to the Fire. One of them will turn and say, 'O Almighty, Blessed is His Name! Send me back!' They will be sent back and he will be asked, 'Why did you turn back?' He will say, 'I had hoped that I would enter Paradise.' He will be ordered to go to Paradise. He will say, 'Indeed, my Lord has given me so much that even if I were to feed the people of Paradise, it would not diminish what I have with me.' And when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned this, joy could be seen on his face."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "Should I not inform you of who a Muslim is? A Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands other Muslims are safe, and a believer is one whom people trust with their lives and wealth. And a migrant is one who avoids sins and wrongdoings, and a warrior in the cause of Allah is one who strives against their own desires in obedience to Allah."

[Machine] A man from the companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ traveled to Fadalah ibn 'Ubayd while he was in Egypt. He arrived at him while Fadalah was busy feeding his camel, so the man said, "I did not come to visit you, but rather I came to you for a conversation that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I hoped that you have knowledge of it." Fadalah saw him with disheveled hair and said, "Why do I see you with disheveled hair while you are the governor of the city?" The man replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to advise us against excessive luxury." Then Fadalah saw him barefoot and said, "Why do I see you barefoot?" The man replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to occasionally practice asceticism."
