The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Two sheep which resemble each other are to be sacrificed for a boy and one for a girl. Abu Dawud said: This is a sound tradition, and the tradition narrated by Sufyan is misunderstanding. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2836)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مِثْلَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ»
The Prophet ﷺ forbade robbery (taking away what belongs to others without their permission), and also forbade mutilation (or maiming) of bodies.
نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ النُّهْبَى وَالْمُثْلَةِ

Al-Laith said: Narrated Yunus: I asked Ibn Shihab, "May we perform the ablution with the milk of she-asses or drink it, or drink the bile of wild animals or urine of camels?" He replied, "The Muslims used to treat themselves with that and did not see any harm in it. As for the milk of she-asses, we have learnt that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the eating of their meat, but we have not received any information whether drinking of their milk is allowed or forbidden." As for the bile of wild animals, Ibn Shihab said, "Abu Idris Al-Khaulani told me that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the eating of the flesh of every wild beast having fangs . I said to 'Ata', "What are the two rewards?" He said, "He mentioned the equal." Hajjaj said in his narration, "And the lamb is more beloved to me than the goat." And he mentioned that it is more beloved to me than its females. He said, "And we love for its blackness to be from it."
أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَقِيقَةِ؟ فَقَالَتْ عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ مَا الْمُكَافَأَتَانِ؟ قَالَ الْمِثْلَانِ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَالضَّأْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الْمَعْزِ وَذَكَرَ أَنَّهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ إِنَاثِهَا قَالَ وَنُحِبُّ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهُ سَوَادَهَا مِنْهُ
