26.108 [Machine] The translation of the heading "وَهْبُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ" into English is "Wahb ibn Hamzah.

[Machine] I accompanied Ali from Medina to Mecca, and I saw some things from him that I dislike. So I said, "If I go back to the Messenger of Allah, I will complain about you to him." When I arrived, I met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I said, "I saw from Ali such and such." He said, "Do not say that, for he is the most deserving of people of you after me."  

الطبراني:١٨٦٥٤حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّارُ وأَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ دُكَيْنٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ قَالَ

صَحِبْتُ عَلِيًّا مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ فَرَأَيْتُ مِنْهُ بَعْضَ مَا أَكْرَهُ فَقُلْتُ لَئِنْ رَجَعْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ لَأَشْكُوَنَّكَ إِلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا قَدِمْتُ لَقِيتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ رَأَيْتُ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَقَالَ «لَا تَقُلْ هَذَا فَهُوَ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِكُمْ بَعْدِي»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, your brother An-Najashi has passed away, so stand up and pray for him." A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, how do we pray for him when he died in his disbelief?" He said, "Do you not hear the saying of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, 'And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in Allah and what has been revealed to you and what was revealed to them.'" (Quran 3:113) until the end of the verse.  

الطبراني:١٨٦٥٥حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا هَوْبَرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا وَحْشِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبِ بْنِ وَحْشِيِّ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ لَمَّا مَاتَ النَّجَاشِيُّ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ قُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ مَاتَ فِي كُفْرِهِ؟ قَالَ أَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ إِلَى قَوْلِ اللهِ جَلَّ وَعَزَّ {وَإِنَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لِمَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ} إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ asked his companions about Safiyyah, saying, "What do you say about this woman?" They replied, "They say that you are the most worthy and deserving of her." He said, "Indeed, I have freed her and married her, and her freedom is her dowry." Then a man said, "O Messenger of Allah, should we have a wedding feast?" He replied, "Having a wedding feast is an obligation, having a second one is commendable, and having a third one is extravagant and unnecessary."  

الطبراني:١٨٦٥٦حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا هَوْبَرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا وَحْشِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبِ بْنِ وَحْشِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمَّا أَفَاءَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ صَفِيَّةً قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «مَا تَقُولُونَ فِي هَذِهِ الْجَارِيَةِ؟» قَالُوا يَقُولُونَ إِنَّكَ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِهَا وَأَحَقُّهُمْ قَالَ «فَإِنِّي قَدْ أَعْتَقْتُهَا وَاسْتَنْكَحْتُهَا وَجَعَلْتُ عِتْقَهَا مَهْرَهَا» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الْوَلِيمَةُ قَالَ «الْوَلِيمَةُ حَقٌّ وَالثَّانِيَةُ مَعْرُوفٌ وَالثَّالِثَةُ فَخْرٌ وحَرَجٌ»

[Machine] "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was taken on the journey to the heavens, he heard a rustling sound. He asked, 'O Jibril, what is this rustling sound?' Jibril replied, 'This is Bilal.' Abu Bakr said, 'I wish I could have been born from Bilal's mother, and Bilal from my father, and that I could have been like Bilal.'"  

الطبراني:١٨٦٥٧حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا هَوْبَرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا وَحْشِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا أُسْرِيَ بِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ سَمِعَ خَشْخَشَةً فَقَالَ يَا جِبْرِيلُ مَا هَذِهِ الْخَشْخَشَةُ؟ قَالَ هَذَا بِلَالٌ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ لَيْتَ أُمَّ بِلَالٍ وَلَدَتْنِي وَأَبُو بِلَالٍ وَأَنَا مِثْلُ بِلَالٍ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went out of his house at night to fulfill his need. He left the door of the house open and then returned to find Satan standing in the middle of the house. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Curse be upon you, O evil one, for entering my house." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you go out of your houses at night, close the doors."  

الطبراني:١٨٦٥٨حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا هَوْبَرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا وَحْشِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَرَجَ لِحَاجَتِهِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَرَكَ بَابَ الْبَيْتِ مَفْتُوحًا ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَوَجَدَ إِبْلِيسَ قَائِمًا فِي وَسَطِ الْبَيْتِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اخْسَأْ يَا خَبِيثُ مِنْ بَيْتِي» ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا خَرَجْتُمْ مِنْ بُيُوتِكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ فَأَغْلِقُوا أَبْوَابِهَا»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Knowledge will soon be taken away from people until they will not even be able to gain anything from it." Ziyad bin Labid said, "How can knowledge be taken away from us when we have read the Quran and our children have also read it?" He (the Prophet) said, "May your mother lose you, Ziyad bin Labid! These Torah and Gospel are in the hands of the Jews and Christians, but they do not raise them above their heads."  

الطبراني:١٨٦٥٩حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مِنْدَهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْخَطَّابِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ ثنا وَحْشِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبِ بْنِ وَحْشِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «يُوشِكُ الْعِلْمُ أَنْ يُخْتَلَسَ مِنَ النَّاسِ حَتَّى لَا تَقْدُرُونَ مِنْهُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ» فَقَالَ زِيَادُ بْنُ لَبِيدٍ وَكَيْفَ يُخْتَلَسُ مِنَّا الْعِلْمُ وَقَدْ قَرَأْنَا الْقُرْآنَ وأَقْرَأْنَاهُ أَبْنَاءَنَا؟ قَالَ «ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ يَا ابْنَ لَبِيدٍ هَذِهِ التَّوْرَاةُ وَالْإِنْجِيلُ بِأَيْدِي الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى مَا يَرْفَعُونَ بِهَا رَأْسًا»

[Machine] He was sitting beside the Prophet ﷺ when a man passed by and another man was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ. The man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I love him for the sake of Allah." He (the Prophet) said, "Did you inform him of that?" He said, "No." He (the Prophet) said, "Then get up and tell him."  

الطبراني:١٨٦٦٠حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الْحِمْصِيَّ الزُّبَيْدِيَّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مِنْدَهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ قَالَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْخَطَّابِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ قَالَا ثنا وَحْشِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَمَرَّ رَجُلٌ وَرَجُلٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ جَالِسٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ لِلَّهِ قَالَ «أَعْلَمْتَهُ ذَلِكَ» قَالَ لَا قَالَ «قُمْ فَأَعْلِمْهُ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Perhaps after me you will conquer cities with bones and establish gatherings in their markets. If that happens, say greetings, lower your gazes, guide the blind, and support the oppressed."  

الطبراني:١٨٦٦١حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ ثنا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مِنْدَهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْخَطَّابِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ قَالَا ثنا وَحْشِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبِ بْنِ وَحْشِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَعَلَّكُمْ سَتَفْتَحُونَ بَعْدِي مَدَائِنَ عِظَامًا وتَتَّخِذُونَ فِي أَسْوَاقِهَا مَجَالِسَ فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَرُدُّوا السَّلَامَ وَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِكُمْ وَاهْدُوا الْأَعْمَى وَأَعِينُوا الْمَظْلُومَ»

[Machine] "The companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we eat but do not feel satisfied.' He said, 'Perhaps you eat separately.' They replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'Gather together for your meal and mention the name of Allah upon it. It will then be blessed for you.'"  

الطبراني:١٨٦٦٢حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الْأَهْوَازِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَا ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا وَحْشِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبِ بْنِ وَحْشِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا نَأْكُلُ فَلَا نَشْبَعُ قَالَ «فَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَفْتَرِقُونَ» قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَاجْتَمِعُوا عَلَى طَعَامِكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ يُبَارَكْ لَكُمْ فِيهِ»

[Machine] When I came to the Messenger of Allah after the killing of Hamza, I had three spots of saliva on my face. He then said, "Do not show me your face."  

الطبراني:١٨٦٦٣حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْبَاقِي الْأَدْنَى ثنا الْمُسَيِّبُ بْنُ وَاضِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ الْحِمْصِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا وَحْشِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبِ بْنِ وَحْشِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

لَمَّا أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ قَتَلِ حَمْزَةَ تَفَلَ فِي وَجْهِي ثَلَاثَ تَفِلَاتٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ «لَا تُرِنِي وَجْهَكَ»
