[Machine] Abu Darda', Wathila bin al-Asqa', Abu Umamah, and Anas bin Malik reported: We were in a gathering with some Jews, discussing predestination, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us in a state of anger. He frowned and scolded us, then he said, "Beware! Fear Allah, O Ummah of Muhammad, for there are two deep valleys or canyons of Hellfire. No matter what you do, you will not be able to extinguish their heat and light. Then he ordered the Jews to stand up, and he raised his right and left fingers, saying, "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is a book from Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, containing the names of the people of Paradise, their fathers, their mothers, and their clans. Your Lord has fulfilled His promise. Your Lord has fulfilled His promise. Your Lord has fulfilled His promise. I have conveyed the message, O Allah, bear witness."
