52. Adornments (10/10)
٥٢۔ كِتَابُ الزِّينَةِ ص ١٠
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The painter of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them, Make alive what you have created.' " (Using translation from Bukhārī 7557)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ هَذِهِ الصُّوَرِ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ»
"The people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be those who try to match the creation of Allah." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5363)
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ «إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُضَاهُونَ اللهَ فِي خَلْقَهُ»
I never used to leave in the Prophet ﷺ house anything carrying images or crosses but he obliterated it. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5952)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَتْرُكْ فِي بَيْتِهِ شَيْئًا فِيهِ تَصْلِيبٌ إِلَّا نَقَضَهُ
[Machine] We were accompanying the mother of the believers, Aisha, when she saw a woman wearing a shawl. Aisha said, "Take it off, as the Prophet ﷺ used to throw it away when he saw something like this."
كُنَّا نَطُوفُ مَعَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَائِشَةَ فَرَأَتْ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ بُرْدًا فِيهِ تَصْلِيبٌ فَقَالَتْ اطْرَحِيهِ فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا رَأَى نَحْوَ هَذَا قَضَبَهُ
"Jibril, peace be upon him, asked permission to enter upon the Prophet [SAW] and he said: 'Come in.' He said: 'How can I come in when there is a curtain in your house on which there are images? You should either cut off their heads or make it into a rug to be stepped on, for we Angels do not enter a house in which there are images.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5365)
اسْتَأْذَنَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «كَيْفَ أَدْخُلُ وَفِي بَيْتِكَ سِتْرٌ فِيهِ تَمَاثِيلُ خَيْلًا وَرِجَالًا؟ فَإِمَّا أَنْ تُقْطَعَ رُءُوسُهَا أَوْ تَجْعَلَ بِسَاطًا يُوطَأُ فَإِنَّا مَعْشَرَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ تَصَاوِيرُ»
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Among the people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be the image-makers.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5364)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ مِنْ أَشَدِّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمُصَوِّرُونَ»
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Among the people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be the image-makers.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5364)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ مِنْ أَشَدِّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمُصَوِّرُونَ»
52.109 [Machine] Dislike of walking in one sandal
٥٢۔١٠٩ بَابٌ كَرَاهِيَةُ الْمَشْيِ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدٍ
The Prophet [SAW] said: "If the strap of the sandal of one of you breaks, let him not walk in one sandal until he fixes it." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5369)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا انْقَطَعَ شِسْعُ نَعْلِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَمْشِ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ حَتَّى يُصْلِحَهَا»
"I saw Abu Hurairah clap his hand to his forehead and say: 'O people of Al-'Iraq, you claim that I tell lies about the Messenger of Allah [SAW]. I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: If the strap of the sandal of one of you breaks, let him not walk in the other until he fixes it.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5370)
رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَضْرِبُ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى جَبْهَتِهِ يَقُولُ يَا أَهْلَ الْعِرَاقِ تَزْعُمُونَ أَنِّي أَكْذِبُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَشْهَدُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعًا وَإِذَا انْقَطَعَ شِسْعُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَمْشِ فِي الْأُخْرَى حَتَّى يُصْلِحَهَا»
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: When the thong (of a sandal) of one of you is cut off, he should not walk with one sandal till he repairs his thongs. He should not walk with one shoe, or eat with his left hand. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4137)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا انْقَطَعَ شِسْعُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَمْشِ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدٍ حَتَّى يُصْلِحَ شِسْعَهُ وَلَا يَمْشِ فِي خُفٍّ وَاحِدٍ وَلَا يَأْكُلْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَلَا يَحْتَبِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ وَلَا يَلْتَحِفِ الصَّمَّاءَ»
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ he said, "Do not wear two dresses made out of wool of a sheep, do not eat with your left hand, do not spit in one's garment, and do not walk wearing only one shoe."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «لَا تَرْتَدُّوا الصَّمَّاءَ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ وَلَا يَأْكُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَلَا يَحْتَبِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ وَلَا يَمْشِ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ»
52.110 [Machine] The command to increase the number of sandals.
٥٢۔١١٠ الْأَمْرُ بِالِاسْتِكْثَارِ مِنَ النِّعَالِ
I heard Allah's Apostle ﷺ saying during an expedition in which we also participated: Make a general practice of wearing sandals, for a man is riding as it were when he wears sandals. (Using translation from Muslim 2096)
سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي غَزْوَةٍ غَزَوْنَاهَا «اسْتَكْثِرُوا مِنَ النِّعَالِ فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَا يَزَالُ رَاكِبًا مَا انْتَعَلَ»
The sandals of the Prophet ﷺ had two thongs. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4134)
«أَنَّ نَعْلَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ لَهَا قِبَالَانِ»
[Machine] "The sandals of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had two straps, the sandals of Abu Bakr had two straps, and the sandals of Umar had two straps."
«كَانَ لِنَعْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قِبَالَانِ وَنَعْلِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قِبَالَانِ وَنَعْلِ عُمَرَ قِبَالَانِ»
[Machine] Amr ibn Huraith said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying with two worn-out sandals." Abu Abdur Rahman said, "This is a mistake, the correct thing is what follows."
سَمِعَ عَمْرَو بْنَ حُرَيْثٍ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْنِ مَخْصُوفَتَيْنِ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا خَطَأٌ وَالصَّوَابُ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ
[Machine] "I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying wearing a pair of worn-out sandals."
«رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْنِ مَخْصُوفَتَيْنِ»
[Machine] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying wearing two leather sandals."
«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْنِ مَخْصُوفَتَيْنِ»
52.111 [Machine] The answer is: "The Anta' statements
٥٢۔١١١ الْأَنْطَاعُ
The Prophet [SAW] lay down on a leather mat and sweated. Umm Sulaim got up and collected his sweat and put it in a bottle. The Prophet [SAW] saw her and said: "What are you doing O Umm Sulaim?" She said: "I am putting your sweat in my perfume." And the Prophet [SAW] smiled. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5371)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اضْطَجَعَ عَلَى نِطَعٍ فَعَرِقَ فَقَامَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى عَرَقِهِ فَنَشَّفَتْهُ فَجَعَلْتُهُ فِي قَارُورَةٍ فَرَآهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا هَذَا الَّذِي تَصْنَعِينَ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ؟» قَالَتْ أَجْعَلُ عَرَقَكَ فِي طِيبِي فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

٥٢۔١١٢ اللُّحُفُ
"The Messenger of Allah would not pray in women's covers." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 600)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُصَلِّي فِي لُحُفِنَا
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] would not pray in our blankets." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5366)
«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُصَلِّي فِي مَلَاحِفِنَا»
52.113 [Machine] Hiring a servant and a vehicle
٥٢۔١١٣ اتِّخَاذُ الْخَادِمِ وَالْمَرْكَبِ
"Mu'awiyah came to Abu Hashim bin 'Uthbah to visit him when he was ill (and dying). He said: 'O Uncle! Why do you cry? Is it from the pangs of death or desire for this world?' He said: 'Neither of these. But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had commissioned me with an obligation that I did not abide by. He ﷺ said: "It suffices you to gather the wealth of a servant or a rider in the cause of Allah." And (it is only) today I find that I have gathered it.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2327)
يَا خَالِي مَا يُبْكِيكَ أَوَجَعٌ يُشْئِزُكَ أَمْ حِرْصٌ عَلَى الدُّنْيَا؟ قَالَ كُلٌّ لَا وَلَكِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ عَهْدًا لَمْ آخُذْ بِهِ قَالَ «إِنَّمَا يَكْفِيكَ مِنْ جَمْعِ الْمَالِ خَادِمٌ وَمَرْكَبٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» فَأَجِدُنِي الْيَوْمَ قَدْ جَمَعْتُ
“We stopped with Abu Hashim bin ‘Utbah, who had been stabbed, and Mu’awiyah came to visit him. Abu Hashim wept and Mu’awiyah said to him: ‘Why are you weeping, O maternal uncle? Is there some pain bothering you, or is it because of this world, the best of which has already passed?’ He said: ‘It is not for any of these reasons. But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave me some advice and I wish that I had followed it. He ﷺ said: “There may come a time when you will see wealth divided among the people, and all you will need of that is a servant and a mount to ride in the cause of Allah.” That time came, but I accumulated wealth.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4103)
لَهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ مَا يُبْكِيكَ يَا خَالِي أَوَجَعٌ يُشْئِزُكَ أَمْ عَلَى الدُّنْيَا فَقَدْ ذَهَبَ صَفْوَتُهَا؟ قَالَ كُلُّ لَا وَلَكِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ عَهْدًا وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ تَبِعْتُهُ قَالَ «إِنَّكَ لَعَلَّكَ أَنْ تُدْرِكَ أَمْوَالًا تُقْسَمُ بَيْنَ أَقْوَامٍ فَإِنَّمَا يَكْفِيكَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ خَادِمٌ وَمَرْكَبٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» فَأَدْرَكْتُ فَجَمَعْتُ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is sufficient for one of you to have a servant and a means of transportation."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «يَكْفِي أَحَدَكُمْ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا خَادِمٌ وَمَرْكَبٌ»
52.114 [Machine] The Adornment of the Sword
٥٢۔١١٤ حِلْيَةُ السَّيْفِ
"The metallic end of the scabbard of the Messenger of Allah [SAW] was of silver, the pommel of his sword was silver, and in between were rings of silver." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5374)
«كَانَتْ نَعْلُ سَيْفِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِضَّةً وَقَبِيعَةُ سَيْفِهِ فِضَّةً وَمَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ حِلَقُ فِضَّةٍ»
"The pommel of the sword of the Messenger of Allah [SAW] was of silver." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5373)
«كَانَتْ قَبِيعَةُ سَيْفِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ»
"The pommel of the sword of the Messenger of Allah [SAW] was of silver." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5373)
كَانَ قَبِيعَةُ سَيْفِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ
52.115 [Machine] Riding on the skins of tigers
٥٢۔١١٥ الرُّكُوبُ عَلَى جُلُودِ النُّمُورِ
[Machine] "He heard Muawiyah and with him a group of the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ in the Ka'bah, he said, 'Do you know that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ forbade riding on the skins of leopards?' They said, 'O Allah, yes.'"
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَعِنْدَهُ جَمْعٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فِي الْكَعْبَةِ قَالَ «أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ رُكُوبِ عَلَى جِلْدِ النُّمُورِ؟» قَالُوا «اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ»
[Machine] While we were with Muawiyah, he gathered a group of the companions of Muhammad ﷺ in the Kaaba. He said, "Do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade lying on the skins of animals?" They said, "O Allah, yes."
بَيْنَا نَحْنُ مَعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ إِذْ جَمَعَ رَهْطًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فِي الْكَعْبَةِ قَالَ «أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ تُفْتَرَشَ جُلُودُ السِّبَاعِ؟» قَالُوا «اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ»
[Machine] that Muawiyah was performing Hajj and gathered a group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Kaaba. He asked them, "I swear by Allah, did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid the formation of rows like tigers?" They replied, "Yes." He said, "And I bear witness."
أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَامَ حَجَّ جَمَعَ نَفَرًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ «نَشَدْتُكُمْ بِاللهِ هَلْ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَفَفِ النُّمُورِ؟» قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ
[Machine] That Muawiyah performed Hajj and gathered a group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Kaaba. He then said, "I ask you by Allah, did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibit the formation of rows (in prayer) resembling the rows of leopards?" They replied, "Yes." He said, "And I bear witness."
أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَامَ حَجَّ جَمَعَ نَفَرًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ «أَنْشُدُكُمْ بِاللهِ هَلْ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَفَفِ النُّمُورِ؟» قَالُوا «نَعَمْ» قَالَ «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ»
[Machine] "I ask you by Allah, have you not heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid line formation like that of the spotted leopards?" They said: "O Allah, yes." He said: "And I too bear witness."
«أَنْشُدُكُمْ بِاللهِ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ صَفَفِ النُّمُورِ؟» قَالُوا «اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ» قَالَ «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ»
[Machine] "I remind you by Allah, did you not hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the formation of rows (like the rows of animals)?" They said, "Yes, Allah's Messenger." He said, "And I also bear witness."
«أَنْشُدُكُمْ بِاللهِ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنْ صَفَفِ النُّمُورِ؟» قَالُوا «اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ» قَالَ «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ»
[Machine] I ask you by Allah, have you not heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the ranks of the leopards? They replied, "Yes, O Allah's Messenger!" He said, "And I also bear witness."
أَنْشُدُكُمُ اللهَ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنْ صَفَفِ النُّمُورِ؟ قَالُوا «اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ» قَالَ «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ»
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbids lining up in rows of wild animals?" They said, "Yes, O Allah!" He said, "And I bear witness."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنْ صَفَفِ النُّمُورِ؟» قَالُوا «اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ» قَالَ «وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ»
[Machine] I inform you of a story that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so whatever you hear from me, believe me. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Do not wear gold except in the form of jewelry." They said, "We heard (this). He also said, "Whoever rides a leopard, the angels will not accompany him." They said, "We heard (this)." He also said, "And I heard him prohibit indulgence." They said, "We did not hear (this)." He said, "Yes, but if not, then be silent."
إِنِّي مُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَمَا سَمِعْتُمْ مِنْهُ فَصَدِّقُونِي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تَلْبَسُوا الذَّهَبَ إِلَّا مُقَطَّعًا» قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «مَنْ رَكِبَ النُّمُورَ لَمْ تَصْحَبْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ» قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا قَالَ «وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْمُتْعَةِ» قَالُوا لَمْ نَسْمَعْ فَقَالَ بَلَى وَإِلَّا فَصَمَتَا
52.116 [Machine] The Influences
٥٢۔١١٦ الْمَيَاثِرُ
He the Prophet ﷺ, forbade me that I should wear my ring in this (forefinger) or in that near it. 'Asim (one of the narrators in the chain of transmitters) said: He did not remember which of the two (fingers) he pointed out; and he forbade to wear Qassi material (silk garments), and to sit on the silk saddle cloth, and he said: As regards Qassi, it is a variegated garment which was brought from Egypt and Syria which had figures upon it, and as regards Mayathir, it is something which women prepared for their husbands as red cloths for their saddles. قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قُلِ اللهُمَّ اهْدِنِي وَسَدِّدْنِي» وَنَهَانِي أَنْ أَجْعَلَ خَاتَمِي فِي هَذِهِ الْخِنْصَرِ أَوِ الَّتِي تَلِيهَا لَمْ يَدْرِ عَاصِمٌ فِي أَيِّ الثِّنْتَيْنِ وَنَهَانِي عَنْ لُبْسِ القَسِّيٌّ وعَنِ جُلُوسٍ عَلَى الْمَيَاثِرِ فَأَمَّا القَسِّيٌّ فَثِيَابٌ مُضَلَّعَةٌ يُؤْتَى بِهَا مِنْ مِصْرَ وَالشَّامِ وَأَمَّا الْمَيَاثِرُ فَشَيْءٌ كَانَتْ تَصْنَعُهُ النِّسَاءُ لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ عَلَى الرَّحْلِ كَالْقَطَائِفِ مِنَ الْأُرْجُوَانِ
52.117 [Machine] The making of chairs
٥٢۔١١٧ اتِّخَاذُ الْكَرَاسِيِّ
"Abu Rifa'ah said: 'I came to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] while he was delivering a Khutbah, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, a stranger has come to ask about his religion, for he does not know what his religion is." The Messenger of Allah [SAW] stopped delivering his Khutbah and turned to me. A chair was brought, and I think its legs were of iron. The Messenger of Allah [SAW] sat down on it and started to teach me what Allah has taught him, then he went and completed his Khutbah.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5377)
قَالَ أَبُو رِفَاعَةَ انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ فَقُلْتُ «يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ رَجُلٌ غَرِيبٌ جَاءَ يَسْأَلُكَ عَنْ دِينِهِ لَا يَدْرِي مَا دِينُهُ» فَأَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَتَرَكَ خُطْبَتَهُ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَيَّ فَأُتِيَ بِكُرْسِيٍّ خِلْتُ قَوَائِمَهُ حَدِيدًا فَقَعَدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَعَلَ يُعَلِّمُنِي مِمَّا عَلَّمَهُ اللهُ ثُمَّ أَتَى خُطْبَتَهُ فَأَتَمَّهَا
52.118 [Machine] Taking Red Domes
٥٢۔١١٨ اتِّخَاذُ الْقُبَابِ الْحُمُرِ
"We were with the Prophet ﷺ in Al-Batha' and he was in a red tent, and some people were with him, and he was about to set out. Bilal came and called the Adhan, turning this way and that." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5378)
كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ وَعِنْدَهُ أُنَاسٌ يَسِيرُ فَجَاءَ بِلَالٌ فَأَذَّنَ فَجَعَلَ يُتْبِعُ فَاهُ هَاهُنَا وَهَاهُنَا
[Machine] "I approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in a red dome, surrounded by approximately forty men. He said, 'Indeed, you have been given open access, and you are being supported. So whoever among you lives long enough, let him fear Allah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and maintain family ties.'"
انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ فِي نَحْوِ مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ «إِنَّكُمْ مَفْتُوحٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَنْصُورُونَ فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَتَّقِ اللهَ وَلْيَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلْيَنْهَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَلْيَصِلَ رَحِمَهُ»
