Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whenever you hear the Adhan, say what the Mu'adh-dhin is saying.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ ما يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

When you hear the call (to prayer), repeat what the Mu'adhdhin pronounces.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

When you hear the Adhan, you should repeat the same words as the mu’adhdhin pronounces.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

“And I too, and I too”.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ يَتَشَهَّدُ قَالَ وَأَنَا وَأَنَا

Messenger of Allah said: "Whenyou hear the call (to prayer) then say the similar to what the Mu'adh-dhin says"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

"When you hear the call, say what the Mu'adhdhin says."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

"I heard Mu'awiyah say: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he heard the Mu'adhdhin, repeating what he said.'"

سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَسَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'When the Mu'adh-dhin calls the Adhan, say as he says.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'When you hear the call (to prayer), say what the Mu'adh-dhin says.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا كَمَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whenever you hear the Adhan, say what the Mu'adh-dhin is saying. (Using translation from Bukhārī 611)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

When you hear the Adhan, you should repeat the same words as the mu’adhdhin pronounces. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 522)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you hear the Mu'adhin (the one who calls to prayer) saying what Malik, the caller, says, then say the same as Malik, the Mu'adhin says."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ وَقَالَ مَالِكٌ الْمُنَادِيَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ يَقُولُ زَادَ مَالِكٌ الْمُؤَذِّنَ

[AI] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said, "When you hear the caller to prayer, say as he says."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ الْمُنَادِيَيُثَوِّبُ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَقُولُوا كَمَا يَقُولُ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "When the Mu'adhin calls the Adhan, say what he says."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ إِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُقَالَ مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ

[AI] About the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , he mentioned him, except that he said: "Whoever teaches knowledge, he will have the reward of what he taught."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَمَنْ عَلَّمَ عِلْمًا أُجْرِيَ لَهُ مِثْلُ مَا عَلَّمَ

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , that whenever he heard the Mu'adhin (caller to prayer) calling the adhan (call to prayer), he would say the same words as he said, until he would stop.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ يُؤَذِّنُ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ حَتَّى يَسْكُتَ

When the Messenger of Allah was with her on her day and night, and heard the Mu'adh-dhin calling the Adhan, she heard him saying what he said. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 719)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَهَا فِي يَوْمِهَا أَوْ لَيْلَتِهَا فَسَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Ata ibn Yazid al-Laythi from Abu Said al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you hear the adhan, repeat what the muadhdhin says."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

[AI] The translation of the given Arabic phrase into English is as follows:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, when he heard the caller to prayer, he would repeat what the caller said until he became silent.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ حَتَّى يَسْكُتَ «»

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ «وَأَنَا وَأَنَا»

[AI] Narrated by Al-Qa'nabiyyu from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from 'Ata' ibn Yazeed, from Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you hear the Mu'adhdhin, say what he says."

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ»

[AI] Al-Qa'nabi narrated from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from 'Ata' ibn Yazeed, from Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari that the Messenger of Allah said, "It is not permissible for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three days."

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ»

[AI] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever hears the caller to prayer and says what he says, will have the same reward as him."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When you hear the Mu'adhin calling for prayer, repeat what he says."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ يُثَوِّبُ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَقُولُوا كَمَا يَقُولُ»

[AI] It is narrated that the Prophet ﷺ used to say, "When he heard the muadh-dhin (the caller to prayer), he would repeat what the muadh-dhin said until he was silent."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ حَتَّى يَسْكُتَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sit for a little while after saying the salaam.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا سَلَّمَ مَكَثَ قَلِيلًا»

When you hear the Adhan, you should repeat the same words as the mu’adhdhin pronounces. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 522)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ»

"I heard Mu'awiyah say: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he heard the Mu'adhdhin, repeating what he said.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 676)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَسَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَقَالَ «مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ»

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ , "Whenever he heard the Mu'adhin, he used to repeat what he said until he would stop."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ حَتَّى يَسْكُتَ»

"I heard Mu'awiyah say: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he heard the Mu'adhdhin, repeating what he said.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 676)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَسَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "When you hear the call to prayer, say the same as the caller."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ يَتَشَهَّدُ قَالَ وَأَنَا وَأَنَا

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'When the Mu'adh-dhin calls the Adhan, say as he says.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 718)

"إذا أذَّن المؤذِّن فقولوا مثلَ قولهِ".

When you hear the Adhan, you should repeat the same words as the mu’adhdhin pronounces. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 522)

"إذا سَمِعْتُم النِّداءَ فقُولوا مثِلَ ما يَقُولُ المؤذِّنُ" .

"إذا سَمِعْتُمْ المؤذِّنَ فقُولوا كما يَقول ثُمَّ صَلُّوا عليَّ".

"إذا سَمِعْتُمُ المؤذِّنَ، يثِّوبُ بالصَّلاةِ فقُولوا كما يَقُول".

"مَنْ سَمِعَ المؤذنَ فَقَال مِثْلَ ما يقولُ، فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِه".

"إِنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ".

"عن عائشة: أن النبي ﷺ كان إذا سمع المؤذن قال: وأنا وأنا".

" أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ حَتَّى يَسْكُتَ".
