15.02. Rest of the Women (13/15)
[Machine] Narrated by the sister of Hudhaifah, who had sisters that had seen the Prophet ﷺ: The Prophet ﷺ addressed us and said, "O group of women, do you not possess silver to adorn yourselves with? Indeed, among you is not a woman who adorns herself with gold to display it except that she will be punished with it."

[Machine] "On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: It is obligatory to go out for every entity within a jurisdiction."
15.02.21 [Machine] Al-Rabi'aa bint Mu'awadh ibn 'Afara
[Machine] Regarding the ablution of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , a container was brought to him, which I mean was a container that had a capacity of a mudd or similar to a mudd and a quarter. Sufyan said: It is as if he was going to the family of Hashim. She said: I used to take water out for him in this (container) and he would pour it on his hands three times. He would wash his hands three times before putting them in the container. He would wash his face three times, then rinse his mouth three times, and nose three times. He would wash his right hand three times, then his left hand three times, and he would wipe his head. He would say once, facing forward, and once, facing backward. Then he would wash his feet three times. The nephew of yours came to me, Ibn 'Abbas, and asked me, so I informed him. He said to me: "I do not find in the Book of Allah anything except for two wipes and two washes."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to come to us frequently, so he came to us and we prepared the water container (meezad) for him. He performed ablution (wudu), washing his hands three times, rinsing his mouth and nose three times, washing his face three times, washing his arms three times, wiping his head with whatever remained of the water on his hands, doing it twice; he started from the back of his head and then returned his hand to the front. He then washed his feet three times and wiped the front and back of his ears.
We used to take part in holy battles with the Prophet ﷺ by providing the people with water and serving them and bringing the killed and the wounded back to Medina. (Using translation from Bukhārī 2883)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us, so we prepared the water for him to perform ablution. He performed ablution by washing each body part three times, and he wiped his head twice, starting from the back. He also inserted his fingers into his ears.
The Prophet ﷺ performed ablution. He inserted his two fingers in the ear-holes. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 131)
[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ with a mask that had some dew and some hair. He placed something in my hand and said, "Adorn yourself with this and cover yourself with it."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came to me on the day of my wedding and sat in the place of my bedding. I had two maidens with me who were beating the tambourine and mourning for my fathers who were killed in the Battle of Badr. They said to me, "What do you say? We have a Prophet among us who knows what will happen today and tomorrow." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "As for this, do not say it."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution near it, and I saw him wiping over his head, from the beginning to the end of his hair, and he also wiped over his forehead, ears, and the visible and hidden parts of his ear lobes.
[Machine] "I presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a mask made of moist (plant) fibers and a handful of whisks. He ﷺ said, 'So he gave me a handful of jewelry or he said gold and said, 'Adorn yourself with this.'"
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution in her presence. He wiped the whole of his head from its upper to the lower part moving every side. He did not move the hair from their original position. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 128)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent to the villages of the Ansar and said, "Whoever among you is fasting, let him complete his fast, and whoever has eaten, let him observe the remaining part of his day's fast."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of Ashura, "Who among you is fasting today?" They replied, "Some of us are fasting and some are not." He said, "Then complete the rest of your day and send food to those around the city so that they may complete their day."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me and sat on the spot of my bed, and I had two slave girls who were mourning for my fathers who were killed on the day of Badr. They were playing with tambourines and Aisha said once with the tambourine, so they said: "What are you saying?" And among us is a prophet who knows what will happen tomorrow. He said: "As for this, do not say it."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution at that place, and he wiped the entire head from behind the hair in every direction.
15.02.22 [Machine] Salama Bint Muaqqil
[Machine] His wife was being sold off due to her debts, so he went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him of this. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him who the heir of Hubab ibn 'Amr was. They replied that it was his brother, Abu al-Yusr Ka'b ibn 'Amr. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then called him and said, "Do not sell her and set her free. If you hear of any ransom coming to me, then bring it to me and I will compensate you." They did as he instructed, but they later disagreed among themselves after the death of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Some people said that the mother of the child was a slave, and if it were not for that, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not have compensated them for it. Others said that she was a free woman, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had freed her. Thus, there was a difference of opinion among them.
15.02.23 [Machine] Dibaa Bint Al-Zubeir translation.
Dubaʿah, daughter of al-Zubair bin ʿAbd al-Muttalib, came to the Messenger of Allah(SWAS) and said Messenger of Allah (SWAS) I want to perform Hajj; may I make a provision? He said Yes. She asked how should I say? He replied : Say “ Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik (I am at Thy service, Oh Allah, I am at Thy service). The place where I took off Ihram will be where Thou restrainest me.” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1776)
[Machine] She slaughtered a sheep in her house, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a message to her, saying, "Feed us from your sheep." She said to the Messenger, "By Allah, nothing is left for us except the neck, and I feel shy to send the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the neck." So the Messenger returned and told the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , who said, "Go back to her and tell her to send the neck, for it is a gift, and the best part of the sheep and farthest from harm."
15.02.24 [Machine] The heading "أم حرام بنت ملحان" can be translated into English as "Um Haram bint Milhan.
[Machine] She said, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting in our house, laughing. So, I said, "By my father and mother, what makes you laugh?" He replied, "I was presented with a group of people from my Ummah riding the backs of this sea like kings on thrones. So, I said, 'O Allah, make me one of them.'" Then, he fell asleep and woke up laughing again. So, I said, "By my father and mother, what makes you laugh?" He replied, "I was presented with a group of people from my Ummah riding this sea like kings on thrones, So, I said, 'O Allah, make me one of them.'" He (the Prophet) said, "You are among the first." Then, she participated in the battle with 'Ubada bin As-Samit, and her camel tripped throwing her off, and she died.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in my house, so he mentioned its meaning.

[Machine] He heard Umm ad-Darda' say: "I came out of the bathroom and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me. He said, 'Where are you going, Umm ad-Darda'?' She said, 'I am going from the bathroom.' He said, 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, no woman puts on her clothes in a place other than her mother's house, except that she is tearing apart every veil between her and the Most Merciful.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in the house of Hafsah, and he said, "No one who witnessed the Battle of Badr and Uhud will enter the Fire." Hafsah said, "Doesn't Allah say, 'And there is none of you except he will come to it (Hell)' (Quran 19:71)?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Everyone will come to it, but then We will save those who feared Allah." (Quran 19:72)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me while I was in a room among the burial grounds of Banu Najjar. There were some individuals among them who had passed away during the time of ignorance, and I heard them being punished. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then left and while he was leaving, he said, "Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, do they really get punished in their graves?" He replied, "Yes, a punishment that is heard by all creatures."

15.02.28 [Machine] Zaynab, the woman of Abdullah bin Mas'ud
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'If one of you (women) wants to attend 'Isha' (prayer). Let her not touch any perfume.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5260)
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said to her: "If you go out to 'Isha' then do not touch any perfume." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5261)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ delivered a sermon and said, "O women, give in charity even if it is from your adornments, for you are the majority of the inhabitants of Hell on the Day of Resurrection." Abdullah, a man with a thin hand, came to me and I said to him, "Ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ if the charity I spend on my husband and orphans in my possession will be sufficient for me." He said, "The Prophet ﷺ has been receiving great respect, so go and ask him yourself." So I went and found him with a woman from the Ansar named Zainab. I presented my request to him, and he sent Bilal to us. We said to him, "Ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ if the charity we spend on our husbands and orphans in our possession will be sufficient for us." So Bilal entered and found Zainab at the door, and he asked which Zainab it was. She replied, "I am the wife of Abdullah and she is another wife of a man from the Ansar. We both ask you about the charity we spend on our husbands and orphans in our possession. Will that be sufficient for us?" Bilal then came out and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ says they will receive double rewards, the reward of kinship and the reward of charity."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ left behind the patterns of the women.
[Machine] Zainab used to comb the hair of the Prophet and had with her Uthman bin Mazh'un's wife and some migrant women. They complained about their houses and how they were being restricted and felt confined in them. Zainab spoke and abandoned combing the hair of the Prophet and he said, "You are not speaking with your eyes, so speak and do your work." That day the Prophet ordered that the women of the migrants be given their share of inheritance. Abdullah died and his wife inherited his house in Medina.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me, and with him was Ali, and Ali had a sick camel, and we had some hanging dates. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and started eating from them, and Ali also stood up and started eating from them. Then, the Prophet ﷺ suddenly exclaimed to Ali, saying, "O Ali, you are a camel until you are satisfied." She said, "And I made barley and boiled it, so I brought it." The Prophet ﷺ said to Ali, "Leave this and eat from it, as it is more beneficial for you."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered upon me, with Ali, and Ali had a camel with him. He mentioned a saying except that he said, "Then I made for them whispering and grain." [Abdullah said], "My father said, 'He also said that.' Then Fuzaarah bin Amr made silq for them."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered upon me with Ali ibn Abi Talib, and Ali had a camel suffering from illness. I said, "We have some dates hanging, so the Prophet ﷺ and Ali got up to eat from them." The Prophet ﷺ coughed and said, "Wait, for you are a camel until Ali finishes." I said, "I have already prepared barley and boiled it." When we brought it, the Prophet ﷺ said to Ali, "Try this, as it might suit you better." So they both ate from it.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Hamza and they started discussing the worldly matters. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, the worldly life is green and sweet. Whoever takes it rightfully, will be blessed in it. However, whoever unlawfully seizes the wealth of Allah and His Messenger, for him is the Hellfire when he meets Allah."
[Machine] She heard Hamza mentioning the world to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and he said, "Indeed, the world is sweet and green, but how many are the ones who dive into the wealth of Allah and His Messenger, for whom the Hellfire is their destination."

(From the daughter of Khalid bin Sa id bin Al-ʿAsi) who said that she had heard the Prophet ﷺ seeking refuge with Allah from the punishment in the grave. (Using translation from Bukhārī 1376)
Once the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought some garments among which was a small cloak with a border and black stripes. He said: Whom do you think to be more deserving for it ? The people kept silence. He said: Bring Umm Khalid. The she was carried to him and he put it on her, saying: Wear it out and make it ragged twice. Then he went on looking at red or yellow marks on it, and said: This is sanah, sanah, Umm Khalid. It means "beautiful" in the language of the Abyssinians. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4024)

15.02.32 [Machine] Mother Ammara
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered upon her and a group of men from her people were with him. She presented them with dates and they ate. One of them excused himself and the Prophet ﷺ asked, "What is the matter with him?" He replied, "I am fasting." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, no fasting person eats in the presence of the angels who send blessings upon him until they depart."
[Machine] The prophet ﷺ entered upon her, so she brought food closer to him. He said, "Come closer and eat." She said, "I am fasting." He said, "When a fasting person is offered food, the angels send blessings upon him."
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ entered upon her, so she offered him food. He said to her, 'Eat.' She responded, 'I am fasting.'
[Machine] I am with my mother, Ra'itah bint Sufyan Al-Khuzaiyah, and the Prophet ﷺ was pledging allegiance to the women and saying, "I pledge allegiance to you (women) on the condition that you do not associate anything with Allah, do not steal, do not commit adultery, do not kill your children, do not bring forth false accusations you fabricate with your hands and feet, and do not disobey in goodness." They (the women) said, "We agree (to abide by these conditions) as much as we can." They would say that, and I would say it along with them. My mother would teach me how to say it.
