“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the eclipse prayer. He stood for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up, then he prostrated for a long time, then he sat up, then he prostrated for a long time. He stood for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up, then he prostrated for a long time, then he sat up, then he prostrated for a long time. Then he finished and said: ‘Paradise was brought close to me, so that if I had dared, I could have brought you some of its fruits. And Hell was brought near to me, until I said: “O Lord, am I one of them?” Nafi’ said: “I think that he said: ‘And I saw a woman being scratched by a cat that belonged to her. I said: “What is wrong with this woman?” They said: “She detained it until it died of hunger; she did not feed it and she did not let it loose to eat of the vermin of the earth.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1265)

[Machine] The sun set during the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , so he stood up and prayed. He prolonged his standing, then went into the bowing position and prolonged it as well. He then stood up again and prolonged his standing, then went into the bowing position and prolonged it once again. He then stood up again, prostrated twice, and repeated the same in the second cycle of prayer. After completing the prayer, he said, "Paradise was brought close to me, so close that if I were to reach out, I could take a handful of its fruits. And Hellfire was brought close to me, so close that I thought I would be burned while with them. I saw a cat in it and thought that it was preventing a woman from feeding it and not allowing it to eat from the vegetation of the earth until it died."

“We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Ihram. The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Whoever has a sacrificial animal with him, let him remain in Ihram. Whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with him, let him exit Ihram.’ She said: ‘I did not have a sacrificial animal with me, so I exited Ihram, but Zubair had a sacrificial animal with him, so he did not exit Ihram. So I put on my regular clothes and came to Zubair, and he said: ‘Go away from me.’ I said: ‘Are you afraid I am going to jump on you?!’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2983)

[Machine] Abdullah, the servant of Asma bint Abi Bakr, informed us that Asma bint Abi Bakr said, "Oh son, has the moon disappeared on the night of the gathering?" I said, "No." Then she said, "Oh son, has the moon disappeared?" I said, "Yes." She said, "Then go on a journey." So, we embarked on a journey until we reached the throwing of the pebbles, then she returned and performed the morning prayer in her house. I said to her, "We have delayed." She said, "Oh son, have you reproached us?" I said, "No, may I be at your service." She said, "No, my son, the Prophet of Allah gave permission for delaying."

ahmad:26967Isḥāq b. Yūsuf > ʿAwf > Abū al-Ṣiddīq al-Nājī

[Machine] Indeed, your son has committed a crime in this house, and indeed Allah has inflicted upon him a painful punishment. And as for what he has done, his mother said, "You are lying! He was righteous, obedient to his parents, and he used to fast." By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has indeed informed us that he will come out from Thaqeef, both of them being liars, and the latter is worse than the former, and he is reprehensible.

[Machine] She said, "He was terrified on the day the sun was eclipsed, the messenger of Allah ﷺ grabbed a shield until he covered himself with it, then he stood up for a long time, standing and then bowing. If a person came after the prophet ﷺ had bowed, he would not have known that he had bowed. He thought that he had bowe from the length of the standing. She said, "I started to look at the woman who is older than me and the woman who is sicker than me, both standing while I am more entitled to endure the long standing than them."

She said, "So I did not count anything after the saying of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It did not increase or decrease in my possession except that Allah replaced it with something else."

[Machine] I used to serve Zubair, her husband, who had a horse. I used to groom and care for it, and nothing from the service was harder on me than handling the horse. I used to ride it, groom it, and obey its commands. He said, "Then, it (the horse) caused a servant a hardship, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave it to him." She said, "The horse's management was enough for me, so he took away its responsibilities from me."

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , she said: "When a person enters his grave, if he is a believer, his deeds, such as prayer and fasting, will come to him. An angel will come to him from the side of prayer and return it, and from the side of fasting and return it. Then, he will be called to sit. He will sit and be asked, 'What do you say about this man?' meaning the Prophet ﷺ . He will say, 'Who?' The angel will say, 'Muhammad.' He will say, 'I bear witness that he is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .' The angel will ask, 'How do you know him?' He will say, 'I bear witness that he is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .' The angel will say, 'Live as you have lived, die as you have died, and be resurrected as you have been resurrected.' If he is a sinful person or a disbeliever, the angel will come to him and nothing will return him from it. The angel will make him sit and ask, 'What do you say about this man?' He will say, 'Which man?' The angel will say, 'Muhammad.' He will say, 'By Allah, I do not know.' I heard people saying something, so I said it.' The angel will say, 'Live as you have lived, die as you have died, and be resurrected as you have been resurrected.' [Machine] The sun set during the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , and I heard a commotion from the people saying, "It is a sign!" At that moment, I rushed with a piece of cloth to Zubair until I entered upon Aisha and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who were standing in prayer for the people. I said to Aisha, "What is happening to the people?" She pointed with her hand towards the sky and said, "I prayed with them while the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ finished his first prostration, then he stood up for a long time until I saw some people washing themselves with water. Then he made a long prostration, and then stood up without prostrating for a long time, which was shorter than the first standing. Then he made another long prostration and then he finished his prayer and greeted, while the sun was shining brightly. Then he ascended the pulpit and said, 'O people, the sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone. So, when you see that, hasten to pray, give charity, and remember Allah. O people, there is nothing that I have not seen or presented before you in this place. I have shown you what will happen in your graves, where you will be asked, 'What were you saying and what were you worshipping?' So, if you say, 'I do not know,' the people will say something and you will say it, and they will do something and you will do it. It will be said, 'You lived your life in doubt,' and you will stay in this position in the Fire. But if you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, it will be said, 'You lived your life in certainty,' and you will stay in this position in Paradise. And I have seen fifty or seventy thousand people entering Paradise in the image of the full moon.' Then a man stood up and said, 'Pray to Allah that He makes me one of them.' He said, 'O Allah, make him one of them.' O people, you will not ask me about anything until it is revealed to me except that I will inform you about it.' Then a man stood up and asked, 'Who is my father?' He replied, 'Your father is so and so, who is attributed to you.'
