ahmad:26423Ismāʿīl b. Ibrāhīm > Ayyūb > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] Hafsah told me that there was an hour during which no one would enter upon the Prophet ﷺ, and during this hour, he used to pray two Rak'ahs when the Fajr (dawn) would rise and the Mu'adhdhin would call for prayer. Ayyub said, "I think he meant the two quick Rak'ahs."

ahmad:26424Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar > Ḥafṣah

'I have matted my hair and garlanded my Hadi (sacrificial animal), so I will not exit Ihram until I exit Ihram after Hajj.''' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2682)

[Machine] What is your concern and his concern? What drives you towards it? Haven't you heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say that the Dajjal emerges out of anger that he feels, and A'ffan said it is upon anger that he feels, and Yunus said in his narration, what ignites your interest towards it?

ahmad:26426Rawḥ b. ʿUbādah > Ibn ʿAwn > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar > Laqīt Ibn Ṣāʾid Marratayn Faʾammā Marrah Falaqītuh And Maʿah some companions Faqult Libaʿḍihim Nashadtukum Bi-al-Lh In Saʾaltukum > Shayʾ Lataṣduqunnī > Naʿam > Qultuʾatuḥaddithūn > Lā Qult Kadhabtum Wa-al-Lh Laqad > Baʿḍukum Wahū Yawmaʾidh Aqallukum Māl Wawalad

I met lbn Sayyad twice and said to some of them (his friends): You state that it was he (the Dajjal). He said: By Allah, it is not so. I said: You have not told me the truth; by Allah some of you informed me that he would not die until he would have the largest number of offspring and huge wealth and it is he about whom it is thought so. Then Ibn Sayyad talked to us. I then departed and met him again for the second time and his eye had been swollen. I said: What has happened to your eye? He said: I do not know. I said: This is in your head and you do not know about it? He said: If Allah so wills He can create it (eye) in your staff. He then produced a sound like the braying of a donkey. Some of my companions thought that I had struck him with the staff as he was with me that the staff broke into pieces, but, by Allah, I was not conscious of it. He then came to the Mother of the Faithful (Hafsa) and narrated it to her and she said: What concern you have with him? Don't you know that Allah's Apostle ﷺ said that the first thing (by the incitement of which) he would come out before the public would be his anger? (Using translation from Muslim 2932b)

ahmad:26427ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Khaffāf > Ibn ʿAwn > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar > Laqīt Ibn Ṣāʾid Marratayn Fadhakar al-Ḥadīth Illā

[Machine] He said: "So I entered upon Hafsah, the mother of the believers, and informed her. She said: 'What did you intend for him? Did you not know that his first interaction with people is anger that angers him?'"

[Machine] Some of my companions claimed that I hit him with a stick that I had with me until it broke. As for me, I did not feel that. So, I went to my sister Hafsah, the mother of the believers, and told her about it. She said, "What did you want from him? Don't you know that his first anger towards people is a sudden burst of anger?"

[Machine] Narrated Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet, may ﷺ : The Prophet, may ﷺ , used to lie on his right side when he went to bed, and then say, "O Lord, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your servants three times." He used to use his right hand for eating, drinking, performing ablution, wearing clothes, taking and giving, and he used his left hand for other than that. He used to fast three days in each month: Monday, Thursday, and Monday of the other week.

[Machine] The translation of the passage is as follows: "Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep, he would place his right hand under his right cheek and say, 'O Allah, protect me from your punishment on the day you resurrect your servants three times.' [Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once placed his garment between his thighs, then Abu Bakr came and sought permission to enter, and he granted him permission while in that state. Then Umar came and the same thing happened, then Ali, then some of his companions, and the Prophet ﷺ was in the same state. Then Uthman came and sought permission to enter, and he granted him permission. Uthman took his garment and covered himself with it, and they had a conversation. Then they all left. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali, and the rest of your companions came to you while you were in your state, but when Uthman came, you covered yourself with your garment. Shouldn't you have felt shy in front of him, as the angels feel shy in front of him?"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me one day and placed his garment between his thighs. Abu Bakr sought permission to enter, so the Prophet gave him permission while he was in that state. Then Umar sought permission to enter, so the Prophet gave him permission while he was in that state. Then some of his companions sought permission to enter, so he gave them permission. Then Ali sought permission to enter, so he gave him permission while he was in that state. Then Uthman ibn Affan sought permission to enter, so he straightened his garment and then gave him permission. They spoke for a while and then they left. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali, and some of your companions entered upon you and you did not move. But when Uthman entered, you straightened your garment." He said, "Should I not feel ashamed before the one whom the angels feel ashamed?"
