[Machine] Some of my companions claimed that I hit him with a stick that I had with me until it broke. As for me, I did not feel that. So, I went to my sister Hafsah, the mother of the believers, and told her about it. She said, "What did you want from him? Don't you know that his first anger towards people is a sudden burst of anger?"  

لَقِيتُ ابْنَ صَائِدٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ فَأَمَّا مَرَّةً فَلَقِيتُهُ وَمَعَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ وَنَخَرَ كَأَشَدِّ نَخِيرِ حِمَارٍسَمِعْتُهُ قَالَ فَزَعَمَ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِي أَنِّي ضَرَبْتُهُ بِعَصًا كَانَتْ مَعِي حَتَّى انْكَسَرَتْ وَأَمَّا أَنَا فَلَمْ أَشْعُرْ بِذَلِكَ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى أُخْتِي حَفْصَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهَا بِذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ وَمَا أَرَدْتَ إِلَيْهِ؟ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ خُرُوجِهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ غَضْبَةٌ يَغْضَبُهَا
