[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by a dead sheep belonging to Maymunah and said, "Why don't you take its hide and tan it to benefit from it?" They replied, "O Messenger of Allah, it is dead." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Its meat is only prohibited." Sufyan said, "I have only heard this statement from Az-Zuhri that its meat is prohibited." Abdullah said, "My father said that Sufyan mentioned it twice from Maymunah."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِشَاةٍ لِمَوْلَاةٍ لِمَيْمُونَةَ مَيِّتَةٍ فَقَالَ أَلَا أَخَذُوا إِهَابَهَا فَدَبَغُوهُ فَانْتَفَعُوا بِهِ؟ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّمَا حُرِّمَ أَكْلُهَا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ هَذِهِ الْكَلِمَةُ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهَا إِلَّا مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ حُرِّمَ أَكْلُهَا قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ أَبِي قَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّتَيْنِ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ
a mouse fell into some cooking fat and died. The Prophet was asked (about that) and he said: "Throw it away, and whatever is around it, and eat (the rest)." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4258)
أَنَّ فَأْرَةً وَقَعَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ فَمَاتَتْ فَسُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَالَ خُذُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا فَأَلْقُوهُ وَكُلُوهُ
"The Messenger of Allah and I would take a bath from a single vessel." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 376)
كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ
"When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Ghusl from Janabah, he would start by washing his hands, then he would pour water with his right hand onto his left and wash his private part, then he would strike his hand on the ground then wipe it then wash it. Then he would perform Wudu' as for prayer, then he would pour water on his head and all of his body. Then he would move and wash his feet." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 419)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ يَبْدَأُ فَيَغْسِلُ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُفْرِغُ بِيَمِينِهِ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فَيَغْسِلُ فَرْجَهُ ثُمَّ يَضْرِبُ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ فَيَمْسَحُهَا ثُمَّ يَغْسِلُهَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ يُفْرِغُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَعَلَى سَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ ثُمَّ يَتَنَحَّى فَيَغْسِلُ رِجْلَيْهِ
[Machine] This translates to: "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, something similar to him."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ
[Machine] "Narrated by Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , she said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up feeling unwell one morning. So, it was said to him, 'What is wrong with you, O Messenger of Allah? You woke up feeling unwell?' He replied, 'Gabriel promised to meet me, but he did not come, and he has never broken his promise to me. He did not come to me that night, nor the second night, nor the third night.' Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ blamed a female dog that was under our niche and he commanded it to be removed. He then took some water and washed the place where it had been. Gabriel ﷺ came and said, 'You promised me, yet I did not see you.' The Prophet ﷺ replied, 'We do not enter a house that has a dog or a picture.' On that day, he commanded the killing of dogs, even seeking permission to kill a small dog that was by the wall.'"
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ أَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَاثِرًا فَقِيلَ لَهُ مَا لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَصْبَحْتَ خَاثِرًا؟ قَالَ وَعَدَنِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ أَنْ يَلْقَانِي فَلَمْ يَلْقَنِي وَمَا أَخْلَفَنِي فَلَمْ يَأْتِهِ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ وَلَا الثَّانِيَةَ وَلَا الثَّالِثَةَ ثُمَّ اتَّهَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جَرْوَ كَلْبٍ كَانَ تَحْتَ نَضَدِنَا فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَأُخْرِجَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ مَاءً فَرَشَّ مَكَانَهُ فَجَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ وَعَدْتَنِي فَلَمْ أَرَكَ؟ قَالَ إِنَّا لَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ وَلَا صُورَةٌ قَالَ فَأَمَرَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ قَالَ حَتَّى كَانَ يُسْتَأْذَنُ فِي كَلْبِ الْحَائِطِ الصَّغِيرِ فَيَأْمُرُ بِهِ أَنْ يُقْتَلَ
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution due to the merit of washing away impurity from it.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ بِفَضْلِ غُسْلِهَا مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ
[Machine] Narrated by Umm Maimoonah, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , she said: "I was in a state of ritual impurity (janabah) with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I bathed from a large container. Then, some of the water remained. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to bathe from it, and I told him that I had already bathed from it. He said, 'Verily, there is no ritual impurity on the water, nor is it contaminated by anything.' So, he bathed from it."
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ أَجْنَبْتُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَاغْتَسَلْتُ مِنْ جَفْنَةٍ فَفَضَلَتْ فَضْلَةٌ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِيَغْتَسِلَ مِنْهَا فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي قَدْ اغْتَسَلْتُ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمَاءَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ جَنَابَةٌ أَوْ لَا يُنَجِّسُهُ شَيْءٌ فَاغْتَسَلَ مِنْهُ
[Machine] "Narrated by Maymuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ: She sought the advice of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding a mouse that had fallen into their cooking fat which had solidified. He said, 'Throw it away along with what is around it and eat your fat.'"
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا اسْتَفْتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي فَأْرَةٍ سَقَطَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ لَهُمْ جَامِدٍ فَقَالَ أَلْقُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا وَكُلُوا سَمْنَكُمْ
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ prayed while wearing a cloth (a wrapper) over some of his wives, and some of it was on them. Sufyan said, "I think he said that (they were) menstruating."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ لِبَعْضِ نِسَائِهِوَعَلَيْهَا بَعْضُهُ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ أُرَاهُ قَالَ حَائِضٍ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray on Khumra. (Using translation from Bukhārī 381)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ
[Machine] I heard my aunt, Maymuna bint Al-Harith, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , say that she used to be in a state of menstruation while lying down on the prayer mat of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he would pray on it while she was on it. When he prostrated, part of his garment touched me.
سَمِعْتُ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَكُونُ حَائِضًا وَهِيَ مُفْتَرِشَةٌ بِحِذَاءِ مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى خُمْرَتِهِ إِذَا سَجَدَ أَصَابَنِي طَرَفُ ثَوْبِهِ
[Machine] I heard Maymuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, say: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to stand up and pray at night, and I would be sleeping beside him. When he prostrated, his clothes would touch me, and I was menstruating."
سَمِعْتُ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ تَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺيَقُومُ فَيُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا نَائِمَةٌ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ فَإِذَا سَجَدَ أَصَابَنِي ثِيَابُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray on the Khumra (a small mat) and would prostrate, and his garment would touch me while I was on his side and I was menstruating.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ فَيَسْجُدُ فَيُصِيبُنِي ثَوْبُهُ وَأَنَا إِلَى جَنْبِهِ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to prostrate, a sparrow would want to pass between his hands and fly away.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ وَثَمَّ بَهْمَةٌ أَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَمُرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ تَجَافَى
[Machine] "O my son, why is your head disheveled?" He replied, "My mother, Ammar's wife, is menstruating." She said, "Oh my son, where is menstruation located? Wasn't the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , coming to one of us while she was menstruating and placing his head on her lap to recite the Quran while she was menstruating? Then one of us would carry his turban and place it in the mosque while she was menstruating. Oh my son, where is menstruation located?"
يَا بُنَيَّ مَا لَكَ شَعِثًا رَأْسُكَ؟ قَالَ أُمُّ عَمَّارٍ مُرَجِّلَتِي حَائِضٌ قَالَتْ أَيْ بُنَيَّوَأَيْنَ الْحَيْضَةُ مِنَ الْيَدِ؟ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَدْخُلُ عَلَى إِحْدَانَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَيَضَعُ رَأْسَهُ فِي حِجْرِهَا فَيَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ تَقُومُ إِحْدَانَا بِخُمْرَتِهِ فَتَضَعُهَا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ أَيْ بُنَيَّ وَأَيْنَ الْحَيْضَةُ مِنَ الْيَدِ؟
[Machine] And one of us used to spread out a mat for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while she was in her menses, and he used to pray on it.
وَكَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا تَبْسُطُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْخُمْرَةَ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا
[Machine] I prayed behind Abu Al-Malih for a funeral prayer, and he said, "Arrange your rows and improve your intercession. Even if I were to choose someone, I would choose him." Then he said, "Abdullah bin Salil narrated to me" [Abdullah said], "My father narrated to us, and Abu Ubaydah Al-Haddad said, "Abdullah bin Salit narrated to me from some of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ , Maymuna, and her brother was from breastfeeding. They said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'No Muslim prays upon him except that they will intercede for him.'" Abu Al-Malih said, "The intercession is from forty to one hundred and beyond."
صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ فَقَالَ أَقِيمُوا صُفُوفَكُمْ وَلْتَحْسُنْ شَفَاعَتُكُمْ وَلَوْ اخْتَرْتُ رَجُلًا اخْتَرْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلِيلٍ [قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ] قَالَ أَبِي وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ الْحَدَّادُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلِيطٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَيْمُونَةَ وَكَانَ أَخَاهَا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ إِلَّا شُفِّعُوا فِيهِ وقَالَ أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ الْأُمَّةُ أَرْبَعُونَ إِلَى مِائَةٍ فَصَاعِدًا
[Machine] He heard Maymuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, say: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate from a shoulder, then he stood up and prayed without performing ablution."
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ تَقُولُ أَكَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ كَتِفٍ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
Khalid bin Al-Walid said that he entered upon Maimunah bint Al-Harith, who was his maternal aunt, with the Messenger of Allah, and some meat of a mastigure was offered to the Messenger of Allah The Messenger of Allah would not eat anything until he knew what it was. One of the women said: "Why don't you tell the Messenger of Allah what he is eating?" So she told him that it was the meat of a mastigure, and he stopped eating. Khalid said: "I asked the Messenger of Allah 'Is it Haram?' He said: "No but it is a food that is no9t known in the land of my people, and I find it distasteful."" Khalid said: " I pulled it over toward myself and ate it, and the Messenger of Allah was watching me." And Ibn Al-Asamm narrated it from Maimunah, and he was in her apartment. أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ دَخَلَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ وَهِيَ خَالَتُهُ فَقُدِّمَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَحْمُ ضَبٍّ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أُمُّ حُفَيْدٍ ابْنَةُ الْحَارِثِ مِنْ نَجْدٍ وَكَانَتْ تَحْتَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي جَعْفَرٍ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَأْكُلُ شَيْئًا حَتَّى يَعْلَمَ مَا هُوَ؟ فَقَالَ بَعْضُ النِّسْوَةِ أَلَا تُخْبِرْنَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَا يَأْكُلُ فَأَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهُ لَحْمُ ضَبٍّ فَتَرَكَهُ قَالَ خَالِدٌ فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَحَرَامٌ هُوَ؟ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنَّهُ طَعَامٌ لَيْسَ فِي قَوْمِي فَأَجِدُنِي أَعَافُهُ قَالَ خَالِدٌ فَاجْتَرَرْتُهُ إِلَيَّ فَأَكَلْتُهُ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْظُرُقَالَ وَحَدَّثَهُ الْأَصَمُّ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ وَكَانَ فِي حِجْرِهَا يَعْنِي بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَأَظُنُّ أَنَّ الْأَصَمَّ يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَصَمِّ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married me when we were permitted (halal) after returning from Mecca.
تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ حَلَالٌ بَعْدَمَا رَجَعْنَا مِنْ مَكَّةَ
[Machine] She borrowed a debt, so it was said to her: "You borrow from me and you do not have the means to repay?" She said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'There is no one who borrows a debt and Allah knows that he intends to repay it except that He helps him to repay it.'"
أَنَّهَا اسْتَدَانَتْ دَيْنًا فَقِيلَ لَهَا تَسْتَدِينِينَ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَكِ وَفَاؤُهُ؟ قَالَتْ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَسْتَدِينُ دَيْنًا يَعْلَمُ اللهُ أَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَدَاءَهُ إِلَّا أَدَّاهُ
I had a slave girl and I set her free. When the Prophet ﷺ entered upon me, I informed him (of this). He said : May Allah give reward for it; if you had given her to your maternal uncles, it would have increased your reward (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1690)
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ أَعْتَقْتُ جَارِيَةً لِي فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِعِتْقِهَا فَقَالَ آجَرَكِ اللهُ أَمَا إِنَّكِ لَوْ كُنْتِ أَعْطَيْتِهَا أَخْوَالَكِ كَانَ أَعْظَمَ لِأَجْرِكِ
[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to lean forward while performing prostration until the whiteness of his armpits was visible to those behind him.
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يَرَى مَنْ خَلْفَهُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ
[Machine] According to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he used to sleep with his wife even during her menstruation, and there was nothing between them except a garment that did not exceed the knees.
عَنْ سُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ لَقَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَنَامُ مَعَ الْمَرْأَةِ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ الْحَائِضِ وَمَابَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا ثَوْبٌ مَا يُجَاوِزُ الرُّكْبَتَيْنِ
عَنْ نُدبَةَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
[Machine] He said, "O son of my brother, shall I not perform ruqyah (healing through incantation) for you with the ruqyah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" I said, "Yes." She said, "In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you, and may Allah cure you from every ailment that is in you. Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind, and grant healing, for there is no healer except You."
لَهُ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي أَلَا أَرْقِيكَ بِرُقْيَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَتْ بِسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَ وَاللهُ يَشْفِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ فِيكَ أَذْهِبِ الْبَاسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شَافِيَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
[Machine] He said: I heard Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , saying: I freed a slave girl during the time of the Prophet ﷺ , so I mentioned that to him. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: If you had given her to your relatives, it would have been greater in reward for you.
أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ تَقُولُ أَعْتَقْتُ وَلِيدَةً فِي زَمَانِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْ أَعْطَيْتِهَا أَخْوَالَكِ كَانَ أَعْظَمَ لِأَجْرِكِ
[Machine] Narrated by Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "Do not harm animals by hitting them on the face. Do not pick up anything that causes harm, such as a stick or a stone, to hit animals. Do not harm or put a mark on an animal's body. Do not sharpen the front teeth of an animal to make it look more attractive. And every intoxicant is prohibited."
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا تَنْبِذُوا فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَلَا فِي الْمُزَفَّتِ وَلَا فِي الْحَنْتَمِ وَلَا فِي النَّقِيرِ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَلَا فِي الْجِرَارِ وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ
[Machine] "Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the consumption of alcoholic drinks, intoxicants, games of chance, and (the meat of) animals slaughtered in the name of idols, and he said that every intoxicant is forbidden.'"
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ والنَّقِيرِ وَالْجَرِّ والْمُقَيَّرِ وَقَالَ كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ
In case Allah cures me I will certainly go and observe prayer in Bait al-Maqdis. She recovered and so she made preparations to go out (to that place). She came to Maimuna. the wife of Allah's Apostle ﷺ. and after greeting her she informed her about it, whereupon she said: Stay here. and eat the provision (which you had made) and observe prayer In the mosque of the Messenger ﷺ. for I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Prayer In it is better than a thousand prayers observed in other mosques except the mosque of the Ka'ba. لَئِنْ شَفَانِي اللهُ لَأَخْرُجَنَّ فَلَأُصَلِّيَنَّ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ فَبَرِأَتْ فَتَجَهَّزَتْ تُرِيدُ الْخُرُوجَ فَجَاءَتْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ تُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهَا فَأَخْبَرَتْهَا ذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ اجْلِسِي فَكُلِي مَا صَنَعْتُ وَصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ ﷺ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ صَلَاةٌ فِيهِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا مَسْجِدَ الْكَعْبَةِ
[Machine] "So I asked Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , about wiping over the socks. She said, 'I said: O Messenger of Allah, does a person wipe over the socks after eating a meal for an hour without taking them off?' He said, 'Yes.'"
فَسَأَلْتُ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ؟ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَكُلَّ سَاعَةٍ يَمْسَحُ الْإِنْسَانُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلَا يَنْزِعُهُمَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ
[Machine] It has been narrated by Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married her lawfully and built a house for her lawfully. However, she died unexpectedly and he buried her in the structure he had built for her. The Prophet ﷺ and Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) then entered her grave.
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَزَوَّجَهَا حَلَالًا وَبَنَى بِهَا حَلَالًا وَمَاتَتْ بِسَرِفَ فَدَفَنَهَا فِي الظُّلَّةِ الَّتِي بَنَى بِهَا فِيهَا فَنَزَلْنَا فِي قَبْرِهَا أَنَا وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said one day, "How will you be when religion becomes mixed up, desires become apparent, the brothers differ, and the ancient house is burned?"
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا مَرِجَ الدِّينُ وَظَهَرَتِ الرَّغْبَةُ وَاخْتَلَفَتِ الْإِخْوَانُ وَحُرِّقَ الْبَيْتُ الْعَتِيقُ
[Machine] Narrated by Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , she said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "My Ummah (community) will always be in goodness as long as they do not openly engage in illicit sexual relations. But if they do so openly, then they should expect Allah to encompass them with punishment."
رَافِعٍعَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تَزَالُ أُمَّتِي بِخَيْرٍ مَا لَمْ يَفْشُ فِيهِمْ وَلَدُ الزِّنَا فَإِذَا فَشَا فِيهِمْ وَلَدُ الزِّنَا فَيُوشِكُ أَنْ يَعُمَّهُمُ اللهُ ﷻ بِعِقَابٍ
[Machine] "Al-Asamm'iann Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to spread out his hands when he prostrated, until he could see those behind him, and his armpits would be visible."
الْأَصَمِّعَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى بِيَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يَرَى مَنْ خَلْفَهُ وَضَحَ إِبْطَيْهِ
[Machine] "Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, narrated that the Prophet ﷺ missed two units before Asr prayer, so he prayed them afterwards."
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَاتَتْهُ رَكْعَتَانِ قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ فَصَلَّاهُمَا بَعْدُ
some men of Quraish passed by the Messenger of Allah dragging a sheep the size of a donkey. He said to them: "Why don't you take its skin?" They said: "It is dead meat." The Messenger of Allah said: "Purify it with water and Qaraz." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4248)
عَنْ أُمِّهِ الْعَالِيَةِ بِنْتِ سُمَيْعٍ أَوْ سُبَيْعٍ الشَّكُّ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِرِجَالٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ يَجُرُّونَ شَاةً لَهُمْ مِثْلَ الْحِمَارِ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْ أَخَذْتُمْ إِهَابَهَا قَالُوا إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُطَهِّرُهَا الْمَاءُ والْقَرَظُ
[Machine] It happened that she was sitting with Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , when Ibn Abbas entered. She asked him, "Why do you have disheveled hair?" He replied, "My wife Um Ammar is menstruating." She said, "O my son, what does menstruation have to do with your hair? The Prophet ﷺ used to come to one of us while she was reclining while menstruating, knowing that she was menstruating, and he would recline against her and recite the Quran. Or he would come to one of us while sitting and she was menstruating, and he would lean against her and recite the Quran. And she would stand while menstruating and spread out her garment for him in her prayer area. Ibn Bakr said, "His prayer area is my house, so he would pray on it." O my son, what does menstruation have to do with the hand?"
أَنَّهَا بَيْنَا هِيَ جَالِسَةٌ عِنْدَ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِذْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَتْ مَا لَكَ شَعِثًا؟ قَالَ أُمُّ عَمَّارٍ مُرَجِّلَتِي حَائِضٌ فَقَالَتْ أَيْ بُنَيَّ وَأَيْنَ الْحَيْضَةُ مِنَ الْيَدِ؟ لَقَدْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَدْخُلُ عَلَى إِحْدَانَا وَهِيَ مُتَّكِئَةٌ حَائِضٌ قَدْ عَلِمَ أَنَّهَا حَائِضٌ فَيَتَّكِئُ عَلَيْهَا فَيَتْلُو الْقُرْآنَ وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَيْهَا أَوْ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهَا قَاعِدَةً وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَيَتَّكِئُ فِي حِجْرِهَا فَيَتْلُو الْقُرْآنَ وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ فِي حِجْرِهَا وَتَقُومُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَتَبْسُطُ لَهُالْخُمْرَةَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ وقَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ خُمْرَتَهُ فَيُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا فِي بَيْتِي أَيْ بُنَيَّ وَأَيْنَ الْحَيْضَةُ مِنَ الْيَدِ؟
"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'One prayer in this Masjid of mine is better than a thousand prayers in any other Masjid except Al-Masjid Al-Haram.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2898)
أَنَّ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ إِلَّا مَسْجِدَ الْكَعْبَةِ
[Machine] "Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, mentioned something similar."
أَنَّ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'One prayer in this Masjid of mine is better than a thousand prayers in any other Masjid except Al-Masjid Al-Haram.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2898)
أَنَّ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ صَلَاةٌ فِيهِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا مَسْجِدَ الْكَعْبَةِ
[Machine] That Abu Al-Malih attended a funeral, and when he stood up, they thought he was going to lead the funeral prayer. He turned around and said, "Stand up so that your intercession may improve. If I were to choose a man, I would choose this one. For Abdullah bin Salit told me about one of the mothers of the believers, Maymuna, that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, 'There is no Muslim who is prayed upon by a group of people except that they intercede for him.' I asked Abu Al-Malih about the number of people, and he said, 'Forty.'"
أَنَّ أَبَا الْمَلِيحِ خَرَجَ عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ فَلَمَّا اسْتَوَى ظَنُّوا أَنَّهُ يُكَبِّرُ فَالْتَفَتَ فَقَالَ اسْتَوُوا لِتَحْسُنَ شَفَاعَتُكُمْ فَإِنِّي لَوْ اخْتَرْتُ رَجُلًا لَاخْتَرْتُ هَذَا أَلَا فَإِنَّهُ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلِيطٍعَنْ إِحْدَى أُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَهِيَ مَيْمُونَةُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِلَّا شُفِّعُوا فِيهِ قَالَ فَسَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْمَلِيحِ عَنِ الْأُمَّةِ فَقَالَ أَرْبَعُونَ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to prepare an army for a battle, and he did not have enough provisions for them. Then, some provisions of charity arrived to him, so he distributed them among the people. They detained him until it was time for the Asr prayer, and he used to pray two rak'ahs before it or however Allah willed, then he prayed, and he returned to pray what he used to pray before it. When he prayed a prayer or did anything he loved, he would like to continue doing it.
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُجَهِّزُ بَعْثًا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ عِنْدَهُ ظَهْرٌ فَجَاءَهُ ظَهْرٌ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ فَجَعَلَ يَقْسِمُهُ بَيْنَهُمْ فَحَبَسُوهُ حَتَّى أَرْهَقَ الْعَصْرَ وَكَانَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ أَوْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَصَلَّى مَا كَانَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَهَا وَكَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى صَلَاةً أَوْ فَعَلَ شَيْئًا يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُدَاوِمَ عَلَيْهِ
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever borrows a debt while knowing that Allah (The Almighty) is aware that he intends to repay it, then Allah will fulfill it on his behalf."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ اسْتَدَانَ دَيْنًا يَعْلَمُ اللهُ ﷻ مِنْهُ أَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَدَاءَهُ أَدَّاهُ اللهُ عَنْهُ
[Machine] She said that the Prophet ﷺ married her, and they consummated the marriage in secrecy after he returned.
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَزَوَّجَهَا وَهُمَا حَلَالَانِ بِسَرِفٍ بَعْدَمَا رَجَعَ
[Machine] I prepared a washing water for the Prophet ﷺ , and he performed the ritual purification from sexual impurity. Then, I brought him a garment when he finished washing, and he said with his hand, indicating to return it.
وَضَعْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ غِسْلًا فَاغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ بِثَوْبٍ حِينَ اغْتَسَلَ فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا يَعْنِي رَدَّهُ
"I prepared some water for the Prophet to perform Ghusl for Janabah with. So he turned the vessel with his left hand, (pouring some water) over his right. Then he washed his hands. Then he entered his hand into the vessel to pour water over his private area, then he rubbed his hands on the wall, or the ground. Then he rinsed out his mouth and washed his nose by putting water in and blowing it out, and washed his face and forearms. Then he poured water over his head three times, then he poured water over the remainder of his body, then he moved from where he was and washed his feet." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 103)
وَضَعْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ غِسْلًا فَاغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ وَأَكْفَأَ الْإِنَاءَ بِشِمَالِهِ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ فَغَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ فَأَفَاضَ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ ثُمَّ دَلَكَ يَدَهُ بِالْحَائِطِ أَوِ بِالْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ عَلَى سَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ الْمَاءَ ثُمَّ تَنَحَّى فَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to lower himself down in prostration until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen by those behind him.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى حَتَّى يَرَى مَنْ خَلْفَهُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ
