10. Baṣrans (16/27)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do you think that if (a person) were to become a Muslim and seek forgiveness, it would be better than two allies: Asad and Ghatfan? Would you consider them to be losers?" They replied, "Yes." He said, "And do you think that if (a person) were to possess beauty and wealth, it would be better than the tribes of Banu Tamim and 'Amir ibn Sa'sa'a? And Hammad raised his voice with it (the question) to narrate the Prophet ﷺ . Would you consider them to be losers?" They replied, "Yes." He said, "Indeed, they are better than them."
[Machine] "O Muhammad, recite the Quran accurately." Mikha'il (the angel) said, "Increase it." So he increased it. He said, "Recite it with two letters." Mikha'il said, "Increase it." So he increased it until it reached seven letters. He said, "All (the verses) are either an admonition of punishment combined with mercy or a verse of mercy combined with punishment, like your saying: 'Come and approach and so on and leave and hasten and be quick.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever kills a person who has a treaty with the Muslims, he will not smell the fragrance of paradise, even though its fragrance can be smelled from a distance of a journey of forty years."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform prayer, and when he would prostrate, Al-Hasan would jump onto his back and cling to his neck. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would then lift his head gently so that he would not be harmed. He did this more than once. After he finished his prayer, the people said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, we saw you doing something with Al-Hasan that we have never seen you do before." He replied, "Indeed, he is my sweet basil from this world, and surely, this son of mine is a leader. May Allah reconcile through him between two factions of the Muslims."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A people who are ruled by a woman will never be successful."
“When two Muslims confront one another with their swords, both the killer and the slain will be in Hell.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, (we understand about) this killer, but what is wrong with the one who is slain?” He said: “He wanted to kill his companion.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3964)
The Prophet [SAW] said: "If two Muslims confront each other with swords and one of them kills the other, they will both be in Hell." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4119)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ described one day the characteristics of the Dajjal and the characteristics of his parents, he said, "The parents of the Dajjal will stay for thirty years without giving birth to a child, then a son will be born to them who is happy and circumcised, the least useful and most harmful of all creatures. His eyes will be asleep, but his heart will not be asleep." Then he mentioned that it was said to him, "Then to us was born this one, blind, happy and circumcised, the least useful and most harmful of all creatures."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should say, 'I have observed the entirety of Ramadan.'" Qatadah said, "Allah knows best. I fear that it may be considered boasting against His Ummah or it may be said, 'There must be a slumbering or an ignorant person.'"
[Machine] Abu Bakrah wrote to his son while he was working in Sistan, advising him not to make decisions between two people while he is angry. He mentioned hearing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "No judgment should be made between two individuals or adversaries while one is angry."
The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever kills a Mu'ahad with no justification, Allah will forbid Paradise to him and he will not even smell its fragrance." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4748)
[Machine] When Abdullah arrived, he was given the choice between thirty thousand (pieces) of silver and a set of dishes. He chose the dishes. He then met some traders from my town and sold the dishes to them for ten thousand (pieces) of silver. He later met Abu Bakrah and said to him, "Did you not see how I deceived them?" Abu Bakrah asked, "How?" Abdullah then told him about it. Abu Bakrah said, "I made up my mind to retrieve them from you, or I swore (an oath) that you would return them because I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding such deceit."
10.43 [Machine] Al-Alaa bin Al-Hadhrami
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Muhajir may stay for three days after completing his rituals.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1454)
[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said to the emigrant three times after the chest.
that Ala bin Hadrami said: “The Messenger of Allah sent me to Bahrain or Hajar. I used to go to a garden that was shared by some brothers, one of whom had become Muslim. I would take the Ushr (one-tenth of the harvest) from the Muslim, and Kharaj from the Mushrik.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1831)
10.44 [Machine] Man
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Indeed, Islam started as something strange, then it became something followed by few, then it became a group, then a sect, then a nation. He (the Prophet) said: then 'Ubaidullah said: What comes after 'Buzul' (sect)? He (the Prophet) replied: Nothing but loss."
10.45 [Machine] The rest of the conversation of Malik ibn Al-Huwarith
[Machine] We came to the Prophet ﷺ while we were young. He kept us with him for about twenty nights. Then, he said to us, "If you go back to your lands and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is gentle, teach them." Suraig said, "And you ordered them to perform the prayer such and such times." Yunus said, "And teach them to perform the prayer like this and this at certain times. And when the time for prayer comes, let one of you give the call to prayer and the oldest among you lead the prayer."
[Machine] Narrated by Malik bin Al-Huwayrith, also known as Abu Sulaiman, he said: "We came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he was accompanied by one or two of his companions. One of them said, 'I am his companion, Ayub or Khalid.' The Prophet ﷺ then said to both of them, 'When the prayer is due, call the Adhan and Iqamah, and let the older one of you lead the prayer, and pray as you have seen me pray.'"
[Machine] On the authority of Malik ibn al-Huwayrith, who was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: The Prophet ﷺ used to raise his hands when he entered into prayer, and when he went into prostration, and when he lifted his head from the bowing position until his ears.
a man among them said: "Malik bin Al-Huwairith came to us in our Musalla to narrate. One day when it was time for Salat, we told him to go ahead (to lead the prayer). He said: 'Let one of you go forward, until I narrate to you why I would not go forward (to lead prayer): I heard Messenger of Allah saying: "Whoever visits a people, then he does not lead them, but a man among them leads them." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 356)
[Machine] Malik ibn al-Huwayrith used to come to us in our mosque and mention the hadith, meaning the hadith of his father.
It was narrated that Malik bin Huwairith said that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said Allahu Akbar, he would raise his hands until they were close to his ears; when he bowed in Ruku’ he did likewise, and when he raised his head from Ruku’ he did likewise. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 859)
"I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he started to pray, raise his hands, and when he bowed, and when he raised his head from bowing, until they were parallel with the top of his ears." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 881)
[Machine] "Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ used to raise his hands towards the level of his ears during the act of bowing and prostrating."
[Machine] He used to come to our mosque, and when the prayer was established, he was told to come forward and lead us in prayer. He replied, "One of you should lead the prayer until I inform you why I do not pray with you." When the people finished praying, he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you visits a people, he should not pray with them, but should let one of them lead the prayer.'"
[Machine] He said to his companions one day, "Shall I not show you how the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be?" He said, "This was during a prayer other than the obligatory prayer. He stood and stood for a while, then bowed and bowed for a while, then raised his head and stood upright for a moment. Then he prostrated and then raised his head. He would make takbir in the sitting position and then wait for a moment, then prostrate." Abu Qilaba said, "He prayed a prayer like the prayer of our Sheikh, Amr bin Salamah Al-Jarmi, who used to lead us in prayer during the time of the Prophet ﷺ ." Ayyub said, "I saw Amr bin Salamah doing something that I do not see you doing. When he raised his head from the two prostrations, he sat for a while and then stood up from the first and third rak'ahs."
10.46 [Machine] Abdullah Bin Mugheef Al Mazni
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited throwing pebbles (in sport) saying : game is not caught by such means. Neither is an enemy injured, but it may sometimes put out an eye or break a tooth. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5270)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the prayer time comes and you are in the grazing areas of the sheep, then pray. But when the prayer time comes and you are in the places where the camels are given water, then do not pray, for they were created from the devils."
[Machine] I heard Abdullah ibn Mugaffal saying that the Prophet ﷺ recited Surah Al-Fath on his camel during the year of the conquest. He also said that once Surah Al-Fath was revealed while he was on a journey, so he started reciting it while on his camel. He then stopped and said, "I wish that people would not gather around me, for I would have narrated to you its recitation."
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , Ibn Jabān narrated in his hadith, "..."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Between the two adhans there is a prayer, between the two adhans there is prayer for one who desires (to offer). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1283)
[Machine] One of us heard someone saying "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" and he says "Eehee Eehee, I have prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, and Umar, and I did not hear any of them saying "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful."

a near one of 'Abdullah b. Mughaffal threw pebbles. He prohibited him (to do so). He said that Messenger of Allah ( ﷺ) had prohibited the throwing of pebbles by saying: It does not catch the game, nor does it inflict defeat on the enemy, but breaks the tooth and puts the eye out. He (the near one of Abdullah b. Mughadal) again repeated it (the act of throwing of pebbles) whereupon he said: I narrate to you that Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon hish) disliked and prohibited throwing of pebbles, but I see you again throwing pebbles; I (would therefore) not speak with you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Pray two rak'ahs before the Maghrib prayer. He then said (again): Pray two rak'ahs before the Maghrib prayer, it applies to those who wish to do so. That was because he feared that the people might treat it as sunnah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1281)
