[Machine] Ibrahim al-Taymi represented myself in the fire, treating its chains and eating from its Zakkum, and drinking from its Zamhareer. So I said, "Oh soul, what do you desire?" She said, "I want to return to the world and do a deed that will save me from this punishment." And I represented myself in Paradise, with its maidens, dressed in its silks and adornments. So I said, "Oh soul, what do you desire?" She said, "I want to return to the world and do a deed that will increase me in reward." So I said, "Then you are in the world and in the desire."

He says, 'What did I intend with my words?' He says, 'What did I intend with my food?' He says, 'What did I intend with the conversation of my soul?' So you will not see him except that he admonishes it. And indeed, the sinful person moves forward without admonishing himself."

[Machine] About Al-Hasan, it was said that when Salman, may Allah have mercy on him, was close to death, he cried. He was asked, "What makes you cry while you are a companion of the Messenger of Allah?" He said, "I do not cry out of sorrow for this world or out of desire for it. But the Messenger of Allah entrusted us with a trust which we have neglected. He entrusted us with the obligation that our tongues should be like saddlebags to carry our provisions." He then looked at what he left behind and found the value of what he left behind to be twenty-two or thirty-three dirhams.

They said, "As for us, nothing has appeared to us from you that we know of except that you have hidden something from us." So they gathered and went to meet a man who had more knowledge than them, and they said to him, "To what matter did the Prophet of Allah ﷺ invite you?" He said, "I will inform him of what has befallen him." So he came to Ayub and asked him, and Ayub said to him, "Because you drank a sip of water without thanking Allah for it, and you did not show gratitude for the blessings. Perhaps you sought shelter in a shade without being grateful for the blessing."

Jacob said to him, "O angel of death, I ask you by the One who created you or by the One whom you asked, did you take the soul of Joseph amongst those whom you have taken?" He replied, "No." The angel of death said to him, "O Jacob, should I not inform you of certain words? Or should I say something to you?" Jacob said, "Yes." The angel of death said, "Say, 'O Possessor of known good, who is never severed eternally and no one can encompass Him except you.'" Jacob called upon these words that night, and before the break of dawn, the shirt was thrown on his face, and he regained his eyesight.

I left and then I came back to him and he ate it."

They said, 'If we pray two rak'ahs and ask Allah (swt) to bring forth for us a man from among those who have died so that we may ask him about death?' So they did so, and while they were in that state, a man appeared with his head emerging from a grave from among those graves with patches of dirt between his eyes as a result of prostration.
