ahmad-zuhd:962ʿAbdullāh > al-Ḥasan b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz > Yaḥyá b. Ḥassān

[Machine] I may have seen a person in need, so I showed him mercy. I saw him one day and approached him, and I found that he had the amount of a fistful of money. He intended to buy something with it, so I did not inquire about anything and left him. May Allah have mercy on him.  

الزهد لأحمد:٩٦٢حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ حَسَّانَ قَالَ

رُبَّمَا رَأَيْتُ فُضَيْلًا فَأَرْحَمُهُ؛ رَأَيْتُهُ يَوْمًا وَأَتَيْتُهُ فَإِذَا مَعَهُ قَدْرُ الْقَبْضَةِ مِنْ نَوَى وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ بَقَّالًا فِيَشْتَرِي بِهَا شَيْئًا فَمَا سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ وَانْصَرَفْتُ عَنْهُ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ
