ahmad-zuhd:769ʿAbdullāh from my father > Maʿmar b. Sulaymān al-Raqqī Ḥaddathan Furāt b. Sulaymān

[Machine] Abu Darda used to say, "Woe to every heedless group that speaks without thinking, as if they were mad, seeing what people have and not seeing what they have. If they were able, they would merge day and night. Woe to them from a severe reckoning and a severe punishment." He also used to say, "I love death and they hate it. I love illness and they hate it. I love poverty and they hate it. They hope for a distant future, gather excessively, and build strongly. Their hopes turn into delusions, their gatherings turn into destruction, and their houses become graves."
