[Machine] Narrated by Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not dye the deceased wife's hair, and do not put kohl on her eyes, and do not apply perfume on her, and do not cover her with a dyed garment, and do not wear jewelry."  

عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُخَضِّبِ الْمُتَوَفَّاةُ زَوْجُهَا وَلَا تَكْتَحِلْ وَلَا تُطَيِّبْ وَلَا تَلْبَسْ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا وَلَا تَلْبَسْ حُلِيًّا»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever drinks from silver utensils is only filling his stomach with the fire of Hell."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الَّذِي يَشْرَبُ فِي آنِيَةِ الْفِضَّةِ إِنَّمَا يُجَرْجِرُ فِي بَطْنِهِ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ»  

[Machine] On the authority of Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , she said: There was shouting from the room of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he came out wearing a striped cloak. He asked, "What is happening?" They replied, "They are arguing, O Messenger of Allah." So he resolved the dispute between them as a Prophet of Allah ﷺ . Then he said, "Indeed, I settle disputes among you, and it may be that one of you is more articulate in speech than his brother, so I judge in favor of the one who is more capable. But if I give to someone a right of his brother which does not belong to him, then know that I am only giving him a portion of the Fire."  

عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ بِحُجْرَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صِيَاحٌ فَخَرَجَ فِي رِدَاءٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا فَقَالَ «مَا هَؤُلَاءِ؟» قَالُوا يَخْتَصِمُونَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَضَى بَيْنَهُمْ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنِّي لِأَقْضِي بَيْنَكُمْ وَلَعَلَّ أَحَدَكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَبْلَغَ مِنْ أَخِيهِ فِي الْكَلَامِ فَاقْضِي لَهُ بِمَا أَسْتَبِينُ فَمَنْ قَضَيْتُ لَهُ شَيْئًا لَيْسَ لَهُ فَإِنَّمَا أُعْطِيهِ حَدَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs Hajj from the Masjid al-Haram, his previous sins will be forgiven."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَهَلَّ مِنْ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»  

[Machine] To the messenger of Allah, ﷺ : "O Umm Salama, do not hurt me regarding Aisha, for certainly revelation has not been sent down upon me while any of my wives are present except Aisha. Indeed, revelation has been sent down upon me while she is with me in my blanket."  

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ لَا تُؤْذِينِي فِي عَائِشَةَ فَإِنَّ الْوَحْيَ لَمْ يَنْزِلْ عَلَيَّ وَمَعِيَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ نِسَائِي إِلَّا عَائِشَةَ فَإِنَّ الْوَحْيَ نَزَلَ عَلَيَّ وَهِيَ مَعِي فِي لِحَافِي»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever says every day, 'O Allah, forgive me and the believing men and women, and grant him a good deed from every believer,'  

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ أَلْحِقْ بِهِ مِنْ كُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ حَسَنَةً  

[Machine] She (referring to Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad) asked about the drink, so she said, "Shall I inform you of what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid his family from doing? He used to forbid us from mixing raisins with dates."  

أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنِ الشَّرَابِ فَقَالَتْ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنْهُ أَهْلَهُ كَانَ «يَنْهَانَا أَنْ يُخْلَطَ الزَّبِيبُ بِالتَّمْرِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one should avoid entering this mosque except for me and Ali."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يُجْنِبَ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ إِلَّا أَنَا وَعَلِيٌّ»  

"I entered upon Umm Salamah while she was crying, so I said: 'What causes you to cry?' She said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah - that is, in a dream - and there was was dirt on his head and his beard. so I said: "What is wrong with you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: 'I just witnessed the killing of Al-Husain.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3771)  

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَهِيَ تَبْكِي فَقُلْتُ مَا يُبْكِيكِ؟ فَقَالَتْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ التُّرَابُ فَقُلْتُ مَا لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ «شَهِدْتُ قَتْلَ الْحُسَيْنِ آنِفًا»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "No one loves Ali except a believer and no one hates Ali except a hypocrite."  

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يُحِبُّ عَلِيًّا إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يُبْغِضُهُ إِلَّا مُنَافِقٌ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up one night saying, "There is no god but Allah. What has been opened tonight from the treasuries? There is no god but Allah. What trials have been sent down tonight? Who will wake the companions of the room? O Lord! A person who is well-dressed in this world, but naked in the hereafter."  

اسْتَيْقَظَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مَا فُتِحَ اللَّيْلَةَ مِنَ الْخَزَائِنِ؟ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مَا أُنْزِلَ اللَّيْلَةَ مِنَ الْفِتْنَةِ؟ مَنْ يُوقِظُ صَوَاحِبَ الْحُجْرَةِ يَا رُبَّ كَاسِيَةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا عَارِيَةٌ فِي الْآخِرَةِ»  

[Machine] "That they should approach women from behind in their private parts and they disliked that, so they went to Umm Salamah and mentioned that to her. She asked the Prophet ﷺ, who then said: 'Your women are like fields for you, so approach your fields however you like.'"  

أَنْ يَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ فِي فُرُوجَهُنَّ فَأَنْكَرْنَ ذَلِكَ فَجِئْنَ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَذَكَرْنَ لَهَا ذَلِكَ فَسَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ {نِسَاؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَكُمْ فَأْتُوا حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّى شِئْتُمْ} صِمَامًا وَاحِدًا  

[Machine] This verse was revealed: "Verily, Allah intends to keep off from you all impurity, O people of the Household." And I (Ali) was in my house, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for Hasan and Hussain and made one of them sit on his right thigh and the other on his left thigh, and Fatimah covered them with a cloak. Then, when the verse 'Verily, Allah intends to keep off from you all impurity, O people of the Household' was revealed, I said, "And I am with you, O Messenger of Allah?" He ﷺ said, "And you are with us."  

أُنْزِلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ} وَأَنَا فِي بَيْتِي فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ فَأَجْلَسَ أَحَدَهُمَا عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَالْآخَرَ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَأَلْقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ فَاطِمَةُ كِسَاءً فَلَمَّا أُنْزِلَتْ {إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ} قُلْتُ وَأَنَا مَعَكُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَأَنْتِ مَعَنَا»  

[Machine] I asked the Prophet ﷺ about the height of women and he said, "A cubit." So I said, do their feet then show? He said, "An arm's length."  

سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ ذُيُولِ النِّسَاءِ فَقَالَ «شِبْرٌ» فَقُلْتُ إِذًا تَخْرُجُ أَقْدَامُهُنَّ؟ قَالَ «فَذِرَاعٌ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever drinks from a vessel made of gold or silver, then surely he is swallowing the fire of Hell."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ شَرِبَ فِي إِنَاءِ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ فِضَّةٍ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَرْجِرُ فِي بَطْنِهِ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ»  

It is not permissible for a woman believing in Allah and the Hereafter to observe mourning on the dead for more than three (days), except in case of her husband. (Using translation from Muslim 1491)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِهَا»  

[Machine] "Umm Salamah and Aisha reported that they heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'It is not permissible for a believing woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for a dead person for more than three days, except for her husband.'"  

عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِهَا»  

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated from Malik, from Muhammad ibn 'Umarah ibn Hazm, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith al-Taymi, from Umm Walad, the daughter of Ibrahim ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Auf, from Umm Salamah, that she asked her (Umm Walad) and she said, "Verily, I am a woman with a long tail (i.e. I have a lot of hair that extends to my backside) and I walk in dirty places." Umm Salamah said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "She should purify it (i.e. her hair) afterwards."  

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أُمِّ وَلَدٍ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْهَا فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ أُطِيلُ ذَيْلِي وَأَمْشِي فِي الْمَكَانِ الْقَذِرِ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُطَهِّرُهُ مَا بَعْدَهُ»  

[Machine] We had a sheep that we used to milk, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lost it, so he asked, "What happened to your sheep?" They replied, "It died." He asked, "What did you do with its skin?" They said, "O Messenger of Allah, we threw it away." He said, "Did you not benefit from it? Verily, its skin is permissible just like the skin of a dead animal from wine."  

كَانَتْ لَنَا شَاةٌ نَحْلُبُهَا فَفَقَدَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا فَعَلَتْ شَاتُكُمْ؟» قَالُوا مَاتَتْ قَالَ «مَا فَعَلْتُمْ بِإِهَابِهَا؟» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلْقَيْنَاهُ قَالَ «أَفَلَا انْتَفَعْتُمْ بِهِ؟ فَإِنَّ دِبَاغُهَا ذَكَاتُهَا يَحِلُّ كَمَا يَحِلُّ الْخَلُّ مِنَ الْخَمْرِ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was in the room of Umm Salamah when her son Umar or Abdullah passed by in front of him. The Prophet raised his hand like this and then the person left. Then Zainab passed by and the Prophet raised his hand like this and she left. Then he said, "They are the majority."  

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي حُجْرَةِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَمَرَّ ابْنُهَا عُمَرُ أَوْ عَبْدُ اللهِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا فَرَجَعَ فَمَرَّتْ زَيْنَبُ فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا فَمَضَتْ فَقَالَ «هُنَّ أَغْلَبُ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said regarding 'Ammar, "He will be killed by a rebellious group."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي عَمَّارٍ «تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»  

[Machine] The prophet said about Ammar, "He will be killed by the rebellious group."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي عَمَّارٍ «تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»  

[Machine] I did not forget the day of the trench, a trace on his chest while he was serving them milk and saying, "O Allah, the best is the best of the hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajireen." When the Prophet saw him, he said, "O son of Sumayyah, the rebellious group will kill you."  

مَا نَسِيتُ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ أَثَرًا عِنْدَ صَدْرِهِ وَهُوَ يُعَاطِيهِمُ اللَّبَنَ وَيَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ الْخَيْرُ خَيْرُ الْآخِرَةِ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَةِ» فَلَمَّا رَآهُ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «يَا ابْنَ سُمَيَّةَ تَقْتُلُكَ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَقْتُلُ عَمَّارًا الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَقْتُلُ عَمَّارًا الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَقْتُلُ عَمَّارًا الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»  

It was narrated from Umm Salamah that the Prophet ﷺ used to pray two short Rak’ah after Witr, sitting down. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1195)  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْوِتْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ»  

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ used to "pray two rak'ahs after his Witr while sitting."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ وِتْرِهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ»  

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up from his sleep and was remembering something. So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the matter with you?" He said, "A group from my Ummah will be swallowed up and then sent to a man who will come to Makkah and be prevented from entering. And then they will be swallowed up and killed, one by one, and their sources will be different. Indeed, among them are those who are compelled and forced to come."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ اسْتَيْقَظَ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ وَهُوَ يَسْتَرْجِعُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا شَأْنُكَ؟ قَالَ «طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُخْسَفُ بِهِمْ فَيُبْعَثُونَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ فَيَأْتِي مَكَّةَ فَيَمْنَعُهُ وَيُخْسَفُ بِهِمْ مَصْرَعُهُمْ وَاحِدٌ وَمَصَادِرُهُمْ شَتَّى إِنَّ مِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَكْرَهُ فَيَجِيءُ مُكْرَهًا»  

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ recited "Indeed, We have granted you Al-Kawthar".  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «قَرَأَ إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ»  

"The Messenger of Allah used to perform ablution with a Mudd (of water) and bath with a Sa'." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 267)  

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمُدِّ وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِالصَّاعِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to dislike Surah Ad-Damm three times, then he would engage in intimate relations after the three (readings).  

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَكْرَهُ سُورَةَ الدَّمِ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُ بَعْدَ الثَّلَاثِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to frequently say, "O Turner of hearts, keep my heart steadfast on your religion." So, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, why do you frequently make this supplication?" He replied, "O Umm Salamah, surely the heart of the son of Adam is between two fingers of the fingers of the Most Merciful. He turns it in the direction He wills."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ «يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا تَدْعُو بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ؟ فَقَالَ «يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ إِنَّ قَلْبَ ابْنِ آدَمَ بَيْنَ أُصْبُعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ إِذَا شَاءَ أَقَامَهُ وَإِذَا شَاءَ أَزَاغَهُ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The urine of a boy should be sprinkled and the urine of a girl should be washed."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُنْضَحُ بَوْلُ الْغُلَامِ وَيُغْسَلُ بَوْلُ الْجَارِيَةِ»  

[Machine] "I used to rub the semen from the clothes of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .  

«كُنْتُ أَفْرُكُ الْمَنِيَّ مِنْ ثَوْبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»  

[Machine] "I and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution from the same vessel." I would say to him, "Leave some for me, leave some for me."  

«كُنْتُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَغْتَسِلُ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ» أَقُولُ لَهُ أَبْقِ لِي أَبْقِ لِي  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "In every unit of prayer, there is a testimony and a greeting upon the Messengers and those who followed them from the righteous servants of Allah."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ تَشَهُّدٌ وَتَسْلِيمٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَعَلَى مَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ مِنْ عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ»  

[Machine] I said, O Messenger of Allah, tell me about the saying of Allah: "{with] companions with beautiful, large eyes," He said, "They are fair-skinned, wide-eyed maidens, resembling hidden pearls, untouched by men's hands." I said, O Messenger of Allah, tell me about His saying: "{as if they were] pearls well-protected." He said, "Their purity is like the clarity of pearls in unopened shells, which have not been touched by hands." I said, O Messenger of Allah, tell me about His saying: "{in them are good and beautiful [maidens]." He said, "They are the ones with the best manners and prettiest faces." I said, O Messenger of Allah, tell me about His saying: "{though untouched] pearls." He said, "Their softness is like the softness of the skin that you see on the inside of an egg, after removing the shell, which is the customary skin." I said, O Messenger of Allah, tell me about His saying: "{companions] of the right." He said, "They are the elderly women who died in the world, with white hair and loose skin. Allah created them in a youthful, ardent, and passionate state, like the period of mating. They are attached together, desiring one another, on one birth date." I said, O Messenger of Allah, are the women of this world better or the wide-eyed maidens? He said, "Rather, the women of this world are better than the wide-eyed maidens, just as the external garment is better than the lining." I said, O Messenger of Allah, why is that? He said, "Because of their prayers, fasting, and worship, Allah has dressed their faces with light, and their bodies with silk, with bright-colored pearls, green garments, yellow jewelry, and golden combs. They say, 'Behold, we are the eternal ones, so we never die. Behold, we are the blissful ones, so we never suffer. Behold, we are the established ones, so we never move away. Behold, we are the content ones, so we never become unhappy.' Bliss is for the ones we belong to and who belong to us." I said, O Messenger of Allah, when a woman from our world marries two, three, or four husbands, then dies and enters Paradise, who will be her spouse? He said, O Umm Salamah, she will be given a choice and she will choose the best of them in terms of character. She will say, O Lord, this was the best companion with me in character in the world, so marry me to him, O Umm Salamah, for the beauty of character is the best of both worlds, in this world and the Hereafter.  

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ قَوْلِ اللهِ {حُورٌ عِينٌ} قَالَ حُورٌ بِيضٌ عِينٌ ضِخَامُ الْعُيُونِ شُقْرُ الْجَرْدَاءِ بِمَنْزِلَةِ جَنَاحِ النُّسُورِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ قَوْلِهِ {كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَكْنُونٌ} قَالَ «صَفَاؤُهُنَّ صَفَاءُ الدُّرِّ فِي الْأَصْدَافِ الَّتِي لَمْ تَمَسَّهُ الْأَيْدِي» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ قَوْلِهِ {فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ} قَالَ «خَيْرَاتُ الْأَخْلَاقِ حِسَانُ الْوُجُوهِ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ قَوْلِهِ {كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَكْنُونٌ} قَالَ «رِقَّتُهُنَّ كَرِقَّةِ الْجِلْدِ الَّذِي رَأَيْتِ فِي دَاخِلِ الْبَيْضَةِ مِمَّا يَلِي الْقِشْرَ وَهُوَ الْعُرْفِيُّ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ قَوْلِهِ {عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا} قَالَ «هُنَّ اللَّوَاتِي قُبِضْنَ فِي دَارِ الدُّنْيَا عَجَائِزَ رَمْضَاءَ شَمْطَاءَ خَلَقَهُنَّ اللهُ بَعْدَ الْكِبَرِ فَجَعَلَهُنَّ عَذَارَى عُرُبًا مُتَعَشَّقَاتٍ مُحَبَّبَاتٍ أَتْرَابًا عَلَى مِيلَادٍ وَاحِدٍ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنِسَاءُ الدُّنْيَا أَفْضَلُ أَمِ الْحُورُ الْعِينُ؟ قَالَ «بَلْ نِسَاءُ الدُّنْيَا أَفْضَلُ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ كَفَضْلِ الظِّهَارَةِ عَلَى الْبِطَانَةِ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَبِمَا ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ بِصَلَاتِهِنَّ وَصِيَامِهِنَّ وَعِبَادَتِهِنَّ اللهَ أَلْبَسَ اللهُ وُجُوهَهُنَّ النُّورَ وَأَجْسَادَهُنَّ الْحَرِيرَ بِيضَ الْأَلْوَانِ خُضْرَ الثِّيَابِ صَفْرَاءَ الْحُلِيِّ مَجَامِرُهُنَّ الدُّرُّ وَأَمْشَاطُهُنَّ الذَّهَبُ يَقُلْنَ أَلَا نَحْنُ الْخَالِدَاتُ فَلَا نَمُوتُ أَبَدًا أَلَا وَنَحْنُ النَّاعِمَاتُ فَلَا نَبْؤُسُ أَبَدًا أَلَا وَنَحْنُ الْمُقِيمَاتُ فَلَا نَظْعَنُ أَبَدًا أَلَا وَنَحْنُ الرَّاضِيَاتُ فَلَا نَسْخَطُ أَبَدًا طُوبَى لِمَنْ كُنَّا لَهُ وَكَانَ لَنَا قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنَّا تَتَزَوَّجُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةَ وَالْأَرْبَعَةَ ثُمَّ تَمُوتُ فَتَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ وَيَدْخُلُونَ مَعَهَا مَنْ يَكُونُ زَوْجُهَا؟ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ إِنَّهَا تُخَيَّرُ فَتَخْتَارُ أَحْسَنَهُمْ خُلُقًا فَتَقُولُ أَيْ رَبِّ إِنَّ هَذَا كَانَ أَحْسَنَهُمْ مَعِي خُلُقًا فِي دَارِ الدُّنْيَا فَزَوِّجْنِيهِ يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ ذَهَبَ حُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ بِخَيْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ gifted Fatimah with a shawl from his own garment.  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «شَبَّرَ لِفَاطِمَةَ مِنْ ذَيْلِهَا شِبْرًا»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do your part and don't rely solely on me, for my intercession is for those who are doomed from my ummah (nation)."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اعْمَلِي وَلَا تَتَّكِلِي فَإِنَّ شَفَاعَتِي لِلْهَالِكِينَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي»  

A band of rebels would kill ʿAmmar. (Using translation from Muslim 2916c)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَقْتُلُ عَمَّارًا الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»  

A group of rebels would kill you. (Using translation from Muslim 2916a)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِعَمَّارٍ «تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Whoever says in the morning, 'Alhamdulillah, all praise is due to Allah, by whose greatness everything humbles itself,' ten good deeds will be written for him."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي تَوَاضَعَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِعَظَمَتِهِ كُتِبَتْ لَهُ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to say when he went out to pray, "O Allah, make me closer to those who come close to You, and direct me towards those who turn to You, and respond to those who ask You."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ يَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي أَقْرَبَ مَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْكَ وَأَوْجَهَ مَنْ تَوَجَّهَ إِلَيْكَ وَأَلْحَحَ مَنْ سَأَلَكَ»  

[Machine] "Women used to stay at home for forty nights after giving birth, and we would pray with marks on our faces from the callus."  

«كَانَتِ النِّسَاءُ تَقْعُدُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ نِفَاسِهَا أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً وَكُنَّا نُصَلِّي وَعَلَى وُجُوهِنَا الْوَرْسُ مِنَ الْكَلَفِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade mixing dates with raisins and cooking the mango.  

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَنْهَى أَنْ يُخْلَطَ التَّمْرُ بِالزَّبِيبِ وَأَنْ يُعْجَمَ النِّوَاءُ طَبْخًا»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the masjid and called out loudly, "Certainly, this masjid is not permissible for those in a state of major ritual impurity or for women in their menstrual periods, except for the Prophet and his wives and Fatimah bint Muhammad and Ali. Did I not make it clear to you so that you do not go astray?"  

خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَنَادَى بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ «أَلَا إِنَّ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِجُنُبٍ وَلَا لِحَائِضٍ إِلَّا لِلنَّبِيِّ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَفَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلِيٍّ أَلَا بَيَّنْتُ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَضِلُّوا»  

she heard Umm Salamah say: “I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Any woman who dies when her husband is pleased with her, will enter Paradise.' ” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1854)  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ مَاتَتْ وَزَوْجُهَا عَنْهَا رَاضٍ دَخَلَتِ الْجَنَّةَ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, "A believer should not hate Ali, and a hypocrite should not love him."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يُبْغِضُ عَلِيًّا مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يُحِبُّهُ مُنَافِقٌ»  

[Machine] "And what Umm Salamah swore by is that if anyone is closer to the Messenger of Allah, Ali would be with him in the house of Aisha, and I was the last person to leave the house. Then we sat near the door, and Ali came and made a covenant with him, and whispered to him."  

«وَالَّذِي تَحْلِفُ بِهِ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ إِنْ كَانَ أَقْرَبُ النَّاسِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلِيًّا كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِ عَائِشَةَ فَكُنْتُ آخِرَ مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ ثُمَّ جَلَسْنَا أَدْنَى مِنَ الْبَابِ وَأَكَبَّ عَلَيْهِ عَلِيٌّ فَكَانَ آخِرَ النَّاسِ بِهِ عَهْدًا يُسَارُّهُ وَيُنَاجِيهِ»
