عَمْرَةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ

[Machine] On the authority of Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , she said: There was shouting from the room of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he came out wearing a striped cloak. He asked, "What is happening?" They replied, "They are arguing, O Messenger of Allah." So he resolved the dispute between them as a Prophet of Allah ﷺ . Then he said, "Indeed, I settle disputes among you, and it may be that one of you is more articulate in speech than his brother, so I judge in favor of the one who is more capable. But if I give to someone a right of his brother which does not belong to him, then know that I am only giving him a portion of the Fire."  

عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ بِحُجْرَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صِيَاحٌ فَخَرَجَ فِي رِدَاءٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا فَقَالَ «مَا هَؤُلَاءِ؟» قَالُوا يَخْتَصِمُونَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَضَى بَيْنَهُمْ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنِّي لِأَقْضِي بَيْنَكُمْ وَلَعَلَّ أَحَدَكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَبْلَغَ مِنْ أَخِيهِ فِي الْكَلَامِ فَاقْضِي لَهُ بِمَا أَسْتَبِينُ فَمَنْ قَضَيْتُ لَهُ شَيْئًا لَيْسَ لَهُ فَإِنَّمَا أُعْطِيهِ حَدَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»
