[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed tawaf around the Kaaba on a camel, and it was his habit. He said, "They have told the truth and lied." I said, "What did they tell the truth and lie about?" He said, "They told the truth that he performed tawaf on a camel, but it is not a habit. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not turn people away from him or prevent them from receiving his words. He would perform tawaf on a camel until they could hear his words, and their hands could not reach him." I said, "They claim that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ threw pebbles at the Kaaba, and that it is a habit." He said, "They told the truth and lied." I said, "What did they tell the truth and lie about?" He said, "They told the truth that he threw pebbles, but it is not a habit. Indeed, the Quraysh said, 'Leave Muhammad and his companions until they die the death of a wild dog.' When they made peace with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and agreed to come from the following year to stay in Mecca for three days, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , his companions, and the polytheists came from the direction of Qa'iqi'an. He said to his companions, 'Put on your ihram garments, and it is not a habit.' I said, 'And your people claim that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ walked between Safa and Marwa, and it is a habit.' He said, 'They told the truth. Indeed, when Ibrahim ﷺ was shown the rituals, Satan appeared to him at Al-Mas'a, but Jibril ﷺ preceded him. Ibrahim ﷺ then went with him until they reached Mina. Ibrahim ﷺ said to him, 'Muna, this is the place where the people stay.' Then, he went to the middle Jamarat, and Satan appeared to him. He threw seven pebbles until he was finished. Then, he went to the final Jamarat, and he threw at it. Ibn Abbas said, 'Do you know why Arafah is called Arafah?' They said, 'No.' He said, 'Because Jibril ﷺ said to him, 'Did you know?' Ibn Abbas said, 'Do you know how the Talbiah was performed?' I said, 'How was it performed?' He said, 'When Ibrahim ﷺ was commanded to call the people to Hajj, the mountains were commanded to lower their heads, and the valleys were raised for him. He called the people to Hajj, and they were announced to the people. Thereafter, the rest of the Hadith was mentioned in a similar manner, except that he said, 'He performed tawaf between Safa and Marwa on a camel.' And he added when he said, 'Then, Jibril ﷺ took him to the final Jamarat, and Satan appeared to him. He threw seven pebbles at it until he was finished. Then, he went to the remaining parts of the Hadith in a similar manner.' Ibn Abbas said, 'Naghaf are worms that are found in the nostrils of sheep.'"

"The first person to speak about Al-Qadar was Ma'bad Al-Juhani." He said: "Humaid bin Abdur-Rahman Al-Himyari and I went out until we reached Al-Madinah, and we said: 'If we could only meet someone among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ so we could ask him about what those people have innovated." [He said:] "So we met him - meaning Abdullah bin 'Umar - while he was leaving the Masjid." [He said:] "My companion and I were on either side of him." [He said:] I thought my companion was going to leave the speaking to me so I said: "O Abu Abdur-Rahman! There is a group of people who recite the Qur'an and seek knowledge, and they claim there is no Al-Qadar, and that the affair is left to chance.' He said: "Whenever you meet those people, then tell them that I am not of them and they are not of me. By the One Whom Abdullah swears by! If one of them were to spend gold the like of Uhud (mountain) in charity, it would not be accepted from him until he believes in Al-Qadar; the good of it and the bad of it.'" He said: "Then he began to narrate, he said: "'Umar bin Al-Khattab said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah when a man came with extremely white garments, and extremely black hair. He had no appearance of traveling visible on him, yet none of us recognized him. He came until he reached the Prophet ﷺ. He put his knees up against his knees, and then said: "O Muhammad! What is Iman?' He said 'To believe in Allah, His Angels, His, Books, His Messengers, the Day of Judgement, and Al-Qadar, the good of it and the bad of it.' He said: 'Then what is Islam?' He said: 'Testifying to La Ilaha Illallah, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, establishing the Salat, giving the Zakat, performing Hajj to the House, and fasting (the month of) Ramadan.' He said: 'Then what is Ihsan?' He said 'That (is) you worship Allah as if you see Him, and although you do not see Him, He certainly sees you.' He said: 'For all of those he replied to him: 'You have told the truth.'" He said: "So we were amazed at him, he would ask, and then tell him that he is telling the truth. He said: 'Then when is the Hour?' He ﷺ said: 'The one being asked knows no more than the questioner.' He said: 'Then what are its signs?' He said: 'That the slave woman gives birth to her master, and that the naked, poor, and bare-footed shepherds rival each other in the height of the buildings.'" 'Umar said: 'Then the Prophet ﷺ met me three days after that and said: 'O 'Umar! Do you know who the questioner was? It was Jibril. He came to teach you about the matters of your religion.'"

[Machine] We came to Jabir bin Abdullah while he was in Bani Salimah, and we asked him about the pilgrimage of the Prophet ﷺ. He told us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed in Medina for nine years without performing Hajj. Then the permission was given to the people that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would perform Hajj this year. He said, "So many people from Medina descended upon the city, all seeking to accompany the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and do the same as he does. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out with a group of ten people on the tenth day of Dhul-Hijjah, and we accompanied him until we reached Dhul-Hulayfah. Asma bint 'Umais sent a message to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asking, 'What should I do?' He replied, 'Perform Ghusl (ritual bath), then put on your Ihram garments, then perform Istidfar (seeking forgiveness) with a cloth, and then proceed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued until his camel stopped in the open, and he began reciting Talbiyah, 'Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaik la sharika laka Labbaik,

ahmad:2609Sulaymān b. Dāwud > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū al-Zinād from his father > ʿUbaydullāh > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] He said, "Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, did not grant us victory in a place like He did on the Day of Uhud." We objected to that, and Ibn Abbas said, "Between me and the one who objected to that is the Book of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted. Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Glorious, says on the Day of Uhud: 'Indeed, Allah had fulfilled for you His promise when you were killing them by His permission.'" [Surah Al-Imran, 3:152] Ibn Abbas said, "And the expression 'killing them' means fighting, 'until when you lost courage' [Surah Al-Imran, 3:152] until [His words], 'And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful to the believers.' [Surah Al-Imran, 3:152] This is referring to the archers, because the Prophet ﷺ stationed them in a certain place and said, 'Protect our backs. If you see us being killed, do not come to our aid, and if you see us winning and gaining spoils, do not join us.' So when the Prophet ﷺ gained spoils and permitted the troops of the polytheists, the archers started collecting the spoils. They entered the enemy camp, looting, while the ranks of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were united and had joined hands. But then when the archers separated from that unity, the cavalry attacked the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , striking one another and causing confusion. Many Muslims were killed, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions fought until the morning. Indeed, among the first killed among the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the standard bearers of the polytheists were seven or nine. The Muslims dispersed towards a nearby mountain, without reaching the cave, where the people said the askar (a type of plant) was growing. Satan cried out, 'Muhammad has been killed,' and he did not doubt that it was true. So we were in that state of uncertainty until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ emerged between As-Sa'dayn. We recognized him by the way he walked. We were overjoyed, as if nothing had afflicted us. He separated from us and said, 'Allah's anger has intensified against a people who smeared the face of His Messenger.' Then he said again, 'Allah, destroy them, for they can never overcome us.' Then Abu Sufyan called out from the foot of the mountain, 'Mount Hubal!' twice, referring to their idols. 'Where is the son of Abi Kabshah? Where is the son of Abi Quhafah? Where is the son of Al-Khattab?' Umar said, 'O Messenger of Allah, shall I respond to him?' He said, 'Yes.' When Umar said, 'Allah is the Most High and the Most Exalted,' Abu Sufyan said, 'We have certainly reached a day of defeat. When you are high in rank, we are in the fire.' Umar said, 'Indeed, you are mistaken. By Allah, we are victorious, and your army has suffered a loss.' Abu Sufyan said, 'You will find the same fate in your killing as mine. However, this was not from the opinion of our women.' Then he was overtaken by Jahiliyah ignorance, and he said, 'Indeed, that was the case, and we did not reject it.'"

ahmad:2707Surayj And Yūnus > Ḥammād / Ibn Salamah > Abū ʿĀṣim al-Ghanawiyyiʿan Abū al-Ṭufayl > Liāb. ʿAbbās Yazʿum Qawmuk

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Rami (throwing pebbles) at the Jamrat al-Aqabah and that it is a Sunnah (practice). So he said, "Believe it and reject it." I asked, "Who believed it and rejected it?" He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Rami at the Jamrat al-Aqabah and they rejected it, saying it is not a Sunnah. The Quraysh said during the time of Hudaybiyyah, 'Leave Muhammad and his companions until they die like the Nughar.' When they made peace with him that they would enter Makkah the next year and stay there for three days, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived before them, and the polytheists arrived from the side of Qura Aqan. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his companions, 'Perform Rami at the House three times and it is not a Sunnah.' I said, 'Your people claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Sa'y (going between Safa and Marwah) on a camel and that it is a Sunnah.' He said, 'Believe it and reject it.' I asked, 'Who believed it and rejected it?' He said, 'They believed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Sa'y between Safa and Marwah on a camel, but it is not a Sunnah.' The people did not push away or divert the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He performed Sa'y on a camel so they could hear his speech but they could not touch him with their hands. I said, 'Your people claim that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ran between Safa and Marwah and that it is a Sunnah.' He said, 'Believe it.' I asked, 'Who believed it?' He said, 'They believed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ran between Safa and Marwah on a camel, but it is not a Sunnah.'

Ibrahim, when he was commanded to perform the rites of Hajj, the Shaytan appeared to him at Muzdalifah, and he raced him to Muzdalifah. Then Jibril went with him to Jamrat al-Aqabah and the Shaytan appeared to him. Yunus said, 'It was Iblis who appeared to him.' He threw seven stones at him until he went away. Then he appeared to him at the middle Jamrah and he threw seven stones at him and said, 'You sought refuge with the forehead.' Yunus said, 'And then he appeared to him at the Jamrat al-Wusta and he threw seven stones at him.' He said, 'You sought refuge with both foreheads.' Then he addressed Isma'il, upon him was a white shirt, and he said, 'O father, I do not have a shroud to wrap me in except for this, so take it off and wrap me in it.' So he took it off to wrap him in it and he was called from behind, 'O Ibrahim, you have indeed fulfilled the vision.' Ibrahim turned and saw a white ram with his eyes tied. Ibn Abbas said, 'I have seen us following this way of slaughtering from the rams.' He said, 'Then Jibril went with him to the Jamrat al-Quswah and the Shaytan appeared to him and he threw seven stones at him until he went away. Then he went with him to Mina. He said, 'This is Mina.' Yunus said, 'This is the resting place of the people.' Then he brought it to a gathering and said, 'This is the Haram Masjid.' Then he took it to Arafat. Ibn Abbas said, 'Do you know why it is called Arafat?' I said, 'No.' He said, 'Because Jibril said to Ibrahim, 'You have recognized.' I said, 'And you, do you recognize?' He said, 'Yes.' Ibn Abbas said, 'So it was named Arafat for this reason.' Then he said, 'Do you know how the Tawaf was performed?' I said, 'How was it performed?' He said, 'When Ibrahim was commanded to announce Hajj to the people, the mountains lowered their heads for him and the villages were raised for him. So he announced Hajj to the people.'

[Machine] Zaid ibn Sa'na went out of the chambers and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ accompanied him. A man approached them on his riding beast, resembling a Bedouin. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, the people of Busra, a village of Banu Fulan, have embraced Islam and entered into the folds of Islam. I used to visit them and inform them that if they embraced Islam, they would be blessed with abundance of provision, but they have been afflicted with a year of drought, hardship, and famine. O Messenger of Allah, I fear that they might renounce Islam out of greed, just as they had entered it out of greed. If you see fit, please send them some provisions to help them. The Prophet ﷺ looked at me, and Ali ibn Abi Talib was also present. He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, there is nothing left (to give).' Zaid ibn Sa'na approached the Prophet and said, 'O Muhammad, can you sell me a known quantity of dates from the wall of Banu Fulan until a specified time?' He replied, 'No, O Jew, but I will sell you a known quantity of dates until a specified time, without mentioning the wall of Banu Fulan.' I said, 'Alright, then sell it to me, so I pledged and handed him over eighty mithqal of gold in exchange for a known quantity of dates until a specified time. The man took the gold from me and he said, 'Deal fairly with them and assist them with it.' Zaid ibn Sa'na said, 'When the time before the due date was only a day or two, I went to him and took hold of the collar of his shirt and cloak, and looked at him with an angry face. I said to him, 'Why don't you fulfill my right, O Muhammad? By Allah, your kinsmen, the Banu Abd al-Muttalib, are known for their poor administration of justice.' At that point, Umar's eyes were rolling in his head, like a rotating celestial body, and then he struck me in the chest with his gaze, saying, 'O enemy of Allah! Are you saying things about the Messenger of Allah that I'm hearing, and doing things that I'm seeing?' By He who sent him with the truth, if I were not concerned about his strength, I would have struck your head with my sword.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was looking at Umar, calmly and with a smiling face, and then he said, 'O Umar, both he and I were more in need of people commanding us to perform our duties well, and advising him to follow me well. Take him, O Umar, and give him his right, and add twenty sa' to it as a quantity of dates.' I asked, 'What is this increase, O Umar?' He said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has ordered me to add to it, an increase in proportion to your complaint.' I said, 'Do you know who I am, O Umar?' He said, 'No, who are you?' I said, 'Zaid ibn Sa'na.' Ink said, 'The scribe?' I said, 'Yes, the scribe. What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ call me to do with him that I did not do? And what did I say to him that I did not say?' I said to him, 'O Umar, whenever he had any characteristic of prophethood, I recognized it in the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when I looked at him, except for two things that I did not mention to anyone. I said, "Does his forbearance precede his ignorance, and does his extreme ignorance overwhelm him except with forbearance?" I have experienced both of those, so I bear witness, O Umar, that I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, and with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad ﷺ as my prophet. And I bear witness to you that a portion of my wealth, and indeed I have more wealth than them, I give as charity for the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ .' Umar said, 'Or for some of them, for you have no room for all of them.' I said, 'Or for some of them.' Then Zaid returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, and I believed in him, and confirmed him, and pledged allegiance to him, and witnessed many things with him.' Then Zaid passed away during the Battle of Tabuk, while facing the enemy." May Allah have mercy on Zaid.

[Machine] From his father Rifaa'ah ibn Rafee', who witnessed the Battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : He (the Prophet) and his cousin Mu'adh ibn 'Afra'ah went out until they reached Makkah. When they descended from Thaniyyah, they saw a man under a tree. The Prophet said, "Let us approach this man, so that we may entrust him with our belongings and make Tawaf around the Kaaba." We greeted him with the pre-Islamic form of greeting and he responded to us with the Islamic greeting. We had heard of the Prophet ﷺ , so we denied it and asked him, "Who are you?" He said, "Come down." We descended and said, "Where is the man who claims and says what he says?" He said, "I am him." So I said, "Present yourself to me." He presented Islam to us and said, "Who created the heavens, the earth, and the mountains?" We said, "Allah created them." He said, "Then who created you?" We said, "Allah created us." He said, "Then who created these idols that you worship?" We said, "We made them ourselves." He said, "The Creator is more deserving of worship than the created. You are more deserving of being worshiped, as you made them, but Allah is more deserving of being worshiped than something you made." I invite you to worship Allah alone, testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and I am the Messenger of Allah. I also invite you to maintain kinship ties and refrain from oppression and transgression." We said, "By Allah, if what you are calling us to is false, then it would be among the noblest of matters and the best of characters." So we entrusted him with our belongings until we could go to the Kaaba. Mu'adh ibn 'Afra'ah sat with him and said, "I went to the Kaaba, performed Tawaf, and came out with seven cups. I gave him one of them and said, 'O Allah, if what Muhammad is calling to is true, then remove his cup seven times.'" He struck it seven times and each time, it emitted a sound. So I shouted, 'I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.' People gathered around me saying, 'This man is insane, he struck the cup seven times and it still made a sound.' I said, 'No, by Allah, he is a believer.' Then I went up to a high place in Makkah, and when Mu'adh saw me, he said, 'Indeed, Rifaa'ah has come with a face that nothing has ever harmed before.' So I came to him, believed in him, and Allah's Messenger ﷺ taught us Surah Yusuf. We recited, "In the name of your Lord who created" until we reached the verse, "We will return to our family." When we were in 'Aqiq, Mu'adh said, 'I have never spent a night away from my family before, so let me stay here until morning.' So I spent the night with him and I had never done what I did before. hakim:3163Abū al-Naḍr al-Faqīh > ʿUthmān b. Saʿīd al-Dārimī > Sulaymān b. Dāwud b. ʿAlī b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbbās b. ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū al-Zinād from his father > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUtbah > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] He said, "The Prophet ﷺ was not supported in any place as he was on the day of Uhud." He said, "We denied that, so Ibn Abbas said, 'Between me and whoever denied that is the Book of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious.' Indeed, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, says about the day of Uhud, 'And Allah had certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing the enemy by His permission.'" [Surah Al Imran, 152]. Ibn Abbas says that "killing" here means fighting. He also says, "Until when you lost courage and fell to disputing about the matter and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you love. Among you are some who desire this world, and among you are some who desire the Hereafter. Then He turned you back from them [defeated] that He might test you. And He has already forgiven you. And Allah is full of bounty to the believers." [Surah Al Imran, 152]. He meant by this the archers, for the Prophet ﷺ stationed them in a specific place and then said, 'Protect our backs. If you see us being killed, do not come to our aid, and if you see us gaining booty, do not partake in it.' So when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gained booty and made permissible the property of the polytheists, the archers uncovered themselves and entered into the booty, holding one another's fingers. They were surprised by the polytheists who began to attack the Muslims, resulting in the death of many Muslims. The Prophet ﷺ and his companions fought until seven or nine of the leaders of the polytheists were killed. The Muslims fought by the mountain and did not reach where people said the battle took place, as it was beneath the Hudaybiyya. Shaytan shouted, 'Muhammad is killed,' and they did not suspect that it was true until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ emerged among them, walking in a state of apprehension. When he saw him, they recognized him by the way he walked. This brought them great joy, as though nothing had befallen them. He then moved away from them, saying, 'The anger of Allah has increased upon a people who killed their Prophet.' He said again, 'O Allah, surely they cannot overpower us.' Then Abu Sufyan shouted from the bottom of the mountain, 'O Hubal, O Hubal, where is the son of Abu Kabsha, where is the son of Abu Quhafa, where is the son of Al-Khattab?' Umar said, 'O Messenger of Allah, should I answer him?' He said, 'Yes.' So when Abu Sufyan shouted, 'O Hubal,' Umar said, 'Allah is the Most High and the Most Great.' Abu Sufyan said, 'The day of Badr was a day of mutual hostility and fighting.' Umar said, 'It is not the same, our dead are in Paradise while your dead are in the Fire.' Abu Sufyan said, 'Indeed, you will find in your dead a similar number. However, that was not according to our plan.' Then he encountered the zeal of ignorance and said, 'If that is the case, then we did not like it.'"

We went to Jabir b. Abdullah and he began inquiring about the people (who had gone to see him) till it was my turn. I said: I am Muhammad b. 'Ali b. Husain. He placed his hand upon my head and opened my upper button and then the lower one and then placed his palm on my chest (in order to bless me), and I was, during those days, a young boy, and he said: You are welcome, my nephew. Ask whatever you want to ask. And I asked him but as he was blind (he could not respond to me immediately), and the time for prayer came. He stood up covering himself in his mantle. And whenever he placed its ends upon his shoulders they slipped down on account of being short (in size). Another mantle was, however, lying on the clothes rack near by. And he led us in the prayer. I said to him: Tell me about the Hajj of Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him). And he pointed with his hand nine, and then stated: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed in (Medina) for nine years but did not perform Hajj, then he made a public announcement in the tenth year to the effect that Messenger of Allah ﷺ was about to perform the Hajj. A large number of persons came to Medina and all of them were anxious to follow the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) and do according to his doing. We set out with him till we reached Dhu'l-Hulaifa. Asma' daughter of Umais gave birth to Muhammad b. Abu Bakr. She sent message to the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) asking him: What should 1 do? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Take a bath, bandage your private parts and put on Ihram. The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) then prayed in the mosque and then mounted al-Qaswa (his she-camel) and it stood erect with him on its back at al-Baida'. And I saw as far as I could see in front of me but riders and pedestrians, and also on my right and on my left and behind me like this. And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was prominent among us and the (revelation) of the Holy Qur'an was descending upon him. And it is he who knows (its true) significance. And whatever he did, we also did that. He pronounced the Oneness of Allah (saying):" Labbaik,0 Allah, Labbaik, Labbaik. Thou hast no partner, praise and grace is Thine and the Sovereignty too; Thou hast no partner." And the people also pronounced this Talbiya which they pronounce (today). The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) did not reject anything out of it. But the Messenger of Allah (May peace. be upon him) adhered to his own Talbiya. Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) said: We did not have any other intention but that of Hajj only, being unaware of the Umra (at that season), but when we came with him to the House, he touched the pillar and (made seven circuits) running three of them and walking four. And then going to the Station of Ibrahim, he recited:" And adopt the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer." And this Station was between him and the House. My father said (and I do not know whether he had made a mention of it but that was from Allah's Apostle [May peace be upon him] that he recited in two rak'ahs:" say: He is Allah One," and say:" Say: 0 unbelievers." He then returned to the pillar (Hajar Aswad) and kissed it. He then went out of the gate to al-Safa' and as he reached near it he recited:" Al-Safa' and al-Marwa are among the signs appointed by Allah," (adding: ) I begin with what Allah (has commanded me) to begin. He first mounted al-Safa' till he saw the House, and facing Qibla he declared the Oneness of Allah and glorified Him, and said:" There is no god but Allah, One, there is no partner with Him. His is the Sovereignty. to Him praise is due. and He is Powerful over everything. There is no god but Allah alone, Who fulfilled His promise, helped His servant and routed the confederates alone." He then made supplication in the course of that saying such words three times. He then descended and walked towards al-Marwa, and when his feet came down in the bottom of the valley, he ran, and when he began to ascend he walked till he reached al-Marwa. There he did as he had done at al-Safa'. And when it was his last running at al-Marwa he said: If I had known beforehand what I have come to know afterwards, I would not have brought sacrificial animals and would have performed an 'Umra. So, he who among you has not the sacrificial animals with him should put off Ihram and treat it as an Umra. Suraqa b. Malik b. Ju'sham got up and said: Messenger of Allah, does it apply to the present year, or does it apply forever? Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) intertwined the fingers (of one hand) into another and said twice: The 'Umra has become incorporated in the Hajj (adding):" No, but for ever and ever." 'All came from the Yemen with the sacrificial animals for the Prophet (May peace be upon him) and found Fatimah (Allah be pleased with her) to be one among those who had put off Ihram and had put on dyed clothes and had applied antimony. He (Hadrat'Ali) showed disapproval to it, whereupon she said: My father has commanded me to do this. He (the narrator) said that 'Ali used to say in Iraq: I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ showing annoyance at Fatimah for what she had done, and asked the (verdict) of Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding what she had narrated from him, and told him that I was angry with her, whereupon he said: She has told the truth, she has told the truth. (The Prophet then asked 'Ali): What did you say when you undertook to go for Hajj? I ('Ali) said: 0 Allah, I am putting on Ihram for the same purpose as Thy Messenger has put it on. He said: I have with me sacrificial animals, so do not put off the Ihram. He (Jabir) said: The total number of those sacrificial animals brought by 'Ali from the Yemen and of those brought by the Apostle ﷺ was one hundred. Then all the people except the Apostle ﷺ and those who had with them sacrificial animals, put off Ihram, and got their hair clipped; when it was the day of Tarwiya (8th of Dhu'l-Hijja) they went to Mina and put on the Ihram for Hajj and the Messenger of Ailah ﷺ rode and led the noon, afternoon, sunset 'Isha' and dawn prayers. He then waited a little till the sun rose, and commanded that a tent of hair should be pitched at Namira. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then set out and the Quraish did not doubt that he would halt at al-Mash'ar al-Haram (the sacred site) as the Quraish used to do in the pre-Islamic period. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, however, passed on till he came to 'Arafa and he found that the tent had been pitched for him at Namira. There he got down till the sun had passed the meridian; he commanded that al-Qaswa should be brought and saddled for him. Then he came to the bottom of the valley, and addressed the people saying: Verily your blood, your property are as sacred and inviolable as the sacredness of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this town of yours. Behold! Everything pertaining to the Days of Ignorance is under my feet completely abolished. Abolished are also the blood-revenges of the Days of Ignorance. The first claim of ours on blood-revenge which I abolish is that of the son of Rabi'a b. al-Harith, who was nursed among the tribe of Sa'd and killed by Hudhail. And the usury of she pre-Islamic period is abolished, and the first of our usury I abolish is that of 'Abbas b. 'Abd al-Muttalib, for it is all abolished. Fear Allah concerning women! Verily you have taken them on the security of Allah, and intercourse with them has been made lawful unto you by words of Allah. You too have right over them, and that they should not allow anyone to sit on your bed whom you do not like. But if they do that, you can chastise them but not severely. Their rights upon you are that you should provide them with food and clothing in a fitting manner. I have left among you the Book of Allah, and if you hold fast to it, you would never go astray. And you would be asked about me (on the Day of Resurrection), (now tell me) what would you say? They (the audience) said: We will bear witness that you have conveyed (the message), discharged (the ministry of Prophethood) and given wise (sincere) counsel. He (the narrator) said: He (the Holy Prophet) then raised his forefinger towards the sky and pointing it at the people (said):" O Allah, be witness. 0 Allah, be witness," saying it thrice. (Bilal then) pronounced Adhan and later on Iqama and he (the Holy Prophet) led the noon prayer. He (Bilal) then uttered Iqama and he (the Holy Prophet) led the afternoon prayer and he observed no other prayer in between the two. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then mounted his camel and came to the place of stay, making his she-camel al-Qaswa, turn towards the side where there we are rocks, having the path taken by those who went on foot in front of him, and faced the Qibla. He kept standing there till the sun set, and the yellow light had somewhat gone, and the disc of the sun had disappeared. He made Usama sit behind him, and he pulled the nosestring of Qaswa so forcefully that its head touched the saddle (in order to keep her under perfect control), and he pointed out to the people with his right hand to be moderate (in speed), and whenever he happened to pass over an elevated tract of sand, he slightly loosened it (the nose-string of his camel) till she climbed up and this is how he reached al-Muzdalifa. There he led the evening and 'Isha prayers with one Adhan and two Iqamas and did not glorify (Allah) in between them (i. e. he did not observe supererogatory rak'ahs between Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then lay down till dawn and offered the dawn prayer with an Adhan and Iqama when the morning light was clear. He again mounted al-Qaswa, and when he came to al-Mash'ar al-Haram, he faced towards Qibla, supplicated Him, Glorified Him, and pronounced His Uniqueness (La ilaha illa Allah) and Oneness, and kept standing till the daylight was very clear. He then went quickly before the sun rose, and seated behind him was al-Fadl b. 'Abbas and he was a man having beautiful hair and fair complexion and handsome face. As the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) was moving on, there was also going a group of women (side by side with them). Al-Fadl began to look at them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his hand on the face of Fadl who then turned his face to the other side, and began to see, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned his hand to the other side and placed it on the face of al-Fadl. He again turned his face to the other side till he came to the bottom of Muhassir. 1680 He urged her (al-Qaswa) a little, and, following the middle road, which comes out at the greatest jamra, he came to the jamra which is near the tree. At this be threw seven small pebbles, saying Allah-o-Akbar while throwing every one of them in a manner in which the small pebbles are thrown (with the help of fingers) and this he did in the bottom of the valley. He then went to the place of sacrifice, and sacrificed sixty-three (camels) with his own hand. Then he gave the remaining number to 'All who sacrificed them, and he shared him in his sacrifice. He then commanded that a piece of flesh from each animal sacrificed should be put in a pot, and when it was cooked, both of them (the Prophet and Hadrat 'All) took some meat out of it and drank its soup. The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) again rode and came to the House, and offered the Zuhr prayer at Mecca. He came to the tribe of Abd al-Muttalib, who were supplying water at Zamzam, and said: Draw water. O Bani 'Abd al-Muttalib; were it not that people would usurp this right of supplying water from you, I would have drawn it along with you. So they handed him a basket and he drank from it. [Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was not supported in a place where he was supported in the Battle of Uhud and this was denied to him. Ibn Abbas said, "Between me and those who deny the Book of Allah, Allah says, 'And Allah has already fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing them with His permission.'" Ibn Abbas said, "The word 'until' in the verse means 'until he forgave you'," and this refers to the archers. This is because the Prophet ﷺ had stationed them at their position and he said, 'Protect our backs. If you see us being killed, do not come to our aid, and if you see us being victorious and gaining spoils, do not share with us.' So when Allah granted victory to the Prophet ﷺ and allowed him to attack the disbelievers, the archers left their positions and entered the battlefield to collect spoils, and the rows of the Prophet's companions became scattered. They were in this state when the horses from that location attacked the Prophet's ﷺ companions. They began striking one another, and many Muslims were killed. From the beginning of the day until the time when the standard-bearer of the disbelievers was killed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions faced seven or nine of the enemy's division. The Muslims launched an attack against the horses, but they were not successful. The people said that the cave was beneath them, and the Shaytan shouted, 'Muhammad has been killed, so do not doubt it.' He said, 'And we do not doubt that he has indeed been killed,' until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ emerged between the two mountains and we recognized him by the way he walked. He said, 'So we rejoiced as if we had not been afflicted with what we had been afflicted with.' He said, 'Then he came to us while saying, 'The anger of Allah has intensified over a people who shed the blood of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' And he said again, 'O Allah, they cannot defeat us until they come to us.' So he stayed for an hour, and then Abu Sufyan shouted from beneath the mountain, 'Declare your superiority, O Hubal! Where is the son of Abu Kabsha? Where is the son of Abu Quhafa? Where is the son of Al-Khattab?' Umar said, 'O Messenger of Allah, shall I answer him?' He said, 'Yes.' So when Abu Sufyan said, Declare your superiority, O Hubal!' Umar said, 'Allah is the Most High and the Most Honorable.' Abu Sufyan said, 'O son of Al-Khattab, you have obtained some good fortune, but today you have come face to face with its like.' Umar said, 'This is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, this is Abu Bakr, and this is Umar.' Abu Sufyan said, 'There are days that alternate with one another, and this is a battle where lives are lost.' Umar said, 'Killing us does not compare to being killed in Paradise.' Abu Sufyan said, 'You believe that?' Umar said, 'Indeed, if that is what you think, then we have lost and been defeated.' Then Abu Sufyan said, 'You will find in our killing you similar to our being killed.' And this was not according to our opinion. Then he was met by Hamiyah, the chief of the idolaters, and he said, 'Indeed, what you have said is something we do not deny.'"

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ threw pebbles at the Kaaba; for indeed, that is a Sunnah. He ﷺ said, "They tell the truth and they lie." I asked, "What did they tell the truth in, and what did they lie in?" He said, "They told the truth in that it is a Sunnah, and they lied in that it is not a Sunnah. Indeed, the Quraysh said, 'Leave Muhammad and his companions from Al-Hudaybiyah until they die a natural death. So when they reconciled with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to come next year and stay for three days in Makkah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came from the following year, while the polytheists came from Qibla Qa'anah. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told his companions, 'Throw pebbles at the Kaaba,' but that is not a Sunnah." I said, "Your people claim that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Sa'i between Safa and Marwa on a camel, and that it is a Sunnah." He said, "They tell the truth and they lie." I asked, "What did they tell the truth in, and what did they lie in?" He said, "They told the truth in that he performed Sa'i on a camel, and they lied in that it is not a Sunnah. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ could not prevent people from harming him or hitting him, so he performed Sa'i on a camel so they could hear his words and see his position without being able to touch him." I said, "Your people claim that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raced between Safa and Marwa, and that it is a Sunnah." He said, "They tell the truth. Indeed, when Ibrahim ﷺ was commanded to perform the rituals, Shaytan tried to stop him at Al-Mas'a. So Ibrahim ﷺ raced ahead of him, and then Jibril ﷺ took him to Al-Aqabah Jamarah. Shaytan tried to stop him again and threw seven pebbles at him until he went away. He then went to the middle Jamarah, where Shaytan threw seven pebbles at him until he went away. Then he took him to Al-Jabban, and there was a white shirt on Isma'il ﷺ . So Ibrahim ﷺ said to him, 'O my son, this is not a shirt, so wrap me in it.' Ibrahim ﷺ turned around, and there was a white ram with intact horns, so he slaughtered it. Then Jibril ﷺ took him to Al-Quwaa. Shaytan tried to stop him again and threw seven pebbles at him until he went away. Then he took him to Mina and said, 'This is Al-Mash'ar Al-Haram.' Then he took him to Arafat. Ibn Abbas said, 'Do you know why it is called Arafat?' I said, 'Why is it called Arafat?' He said, 'Indeed, when Jibril ﷺ said to Ibrahim ﷺ , 'Did you know?' He said, 'Yes.' Then Ibn Abbas said, 'Do you know how Tawaf was performed?' I said, 'How was Tawaf performed?' He said, 'Indeed, when Ibrahim ﷺ was commanded to call the people to Hajj, the mountains bowed their heads for him and the villages were raised for him. [Machine] I said, "O mother of the believers, or O mother, won't you tell me how the incident of the slander was?"

She said, "The Messenger of Allah married me when I was a young girl and I used to play with dolls in the house of Medina. I had no desire for men until I grew up and it was mentioned to me that I would be married to the Messenger of Allah. So, the Messenger of Allah married me when I was nine years old, and then I joined him in his migration to Medina while I was a young girl. There, I became sick and the people accommodated me while the Messenger of Allah would go out for his journey. When they returned, I was still where they had left me and I still remained covered with my veil on my camel's back. They came to a halt and I went out to fulfill my needs and when I returned, they had already departed. I could only see dust from a distance. Suddenly, they realized I was still there in the howdah. Due to my light weight, they lifted the howdah with me in it on top of the camel's back and then they proceeded. When they reached their destination, one of the men took the camel's reigns. I asked, "Who is this man?" They replied, "Safwan bin Al-Mu'attal Al-Sulami." I said, "O mother of the believers, is it really you?" I said, "Yes." He said, "We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return." I said, "Turn your face away from me and place your foot on the camel's rein." He said, "I will do it. It's really a favor and honor for me." She continued, "Then I witnessed the people who arrived while they dismounted. My Prophet stopped and left me by the howdah. People were able to see me while I moved the veil. When I sat in the howdah, I hit my chest with my hand, forgetting that I had left my necklace behind. I hurried back to look for it but when I returned, they had already started moving and I could only see dust from a distance. They had placed the howdah on the camel's back without knowing I was still in there due to my light weight. Suddenly, a man took the camel's reins. I asked, "Who is this man?" She continued, "Then I realized that the people had left me and I could only see dust from a distance. My father was taking care of me. He took all the clothes in the house and threw them on me. Then he consulted the Messenger of Allah's companions and asked them, "What do you think?" Some of them said, "She's a woman capable of such things and she has the ability to do so." Some of them said, "You're the Messenger of Allah and revelation comes to you. Our affairs are subject to your command." Some others said, "Allah will surely expose her innocence by confirming it Himself. Don't be hasty." She continued, "My father gave

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left Mecca, migrating to Madinah, he was accompanied by Abu Bakr, Abu Bakr's servant Amir b. Fuhayrah, and their guide Abdullah b. Urayqit. They passed by the two tents of Umm Mabad al-Khuzaiyyah. She was a strong woman who would sit in front of her tent and provide water and food to travelers.

They asked her for some meat and dates to purchase, but found nothing with her as the people were facing a severe famine. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ noticed a sheep in the corner of the tent and asked, "What is this sheep, O Umm Mabad?" She replied, "This sheep has been left behind by weakness." He asked, "Does it have any milk?" She replied, "It is too weak for that." He ﷺ asked, “Would you allow me to milk it?” She replied, "Yes, may my parents be sacrificed for you, if you see any milk in it, then milk it."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for the sheep, put his hand on its udder, and invoked the name of Allah. Suddenly, milk started flowing abundantly. He ﷺ called for a large container which could satisfy the thirst of many people. He milked it until it filled the container, then gave her to drink until she was satisfied, and then he gave to his companions to drink until they were satisfied. Finally, he ﷺ drank. Then he repeated the milking to fill the container again, leaving it with her.

Shortly after they left, Umm Mabad's husband, Abu Mabad, returned driving some lean goats whose udders were dry. When he saw the milk, he was astonished and asked, "From where did you get this milk, O Umm Mabad, as the sheep is dry and there's no milking goat in the house?" She replied, "No, by Allah, a blessed man passed by us." He asked, "Describe him to me, O Umm Mabad."

She replied, "I saw a man of radiant appearance, with a bright face, beautiful in form. Neither too thin nor deficient in physique. He was handsome and well-proportioned, with large dark eyes, long eyelashes, and a deep, slightly hoarse voice. His neck was well-defined, and his beard was thick. His eyebrows were long and arched, and if he remained silent, he was enveloped in dignity, but when he spoke, he was adorned with grace and majesty. From a distance, he was the most beautiful of people, and up close, he was the most pleasant and delightful. His speech was sweet, distinct, neither too brief nor excessive, as if his words were strung pearls flowing down. He was neither too tall to intimidate nor too short to be disregarded, but perfectly proportioned, like a branch between two other branches, the most striking and noble of the three. He was surrounded by companions who were attentive to him. When he spoke, they listened intently, and when he commanded, they hastened to fulfill his command. He was well-attended, always surrounded by people, yet never frowning nor disregarded.”

Abu Mabad said, "By Allah, he is the companion of Quraysh whom we were informed about. I have decided to accompany him, and if I find a way to do so, I will surely do it." Later, there was a loud voice in Mecca heard from the sky, saying...

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Khaybar, Al-Hajjaj ibn 'Ilāṭ said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have wealth in Makkah and I have family there. I want to go to them, and if I receive anything from you, then I am in a state of permission." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him permission to say whatever he wanted. He then went to his wife when he arrived and said, "Gather for me whatever you have of jewelry or goods, for I want to buy from the spoils of Muhammad and his Companions, as they have been made lawful and their wealth has been distributed." The news spread in Makkah, and the Muslims were suppressed while the polytheists were joyful. The news reached Al-'Abbās ibn 'Abdul-Muṭṭalib and he became distressed, unable to stand. Ma'mar reported to me from 'Uthmān al-Jazarī, who said, "Al-'Abbās took his son, Qutham, and sat him down on his lap, saying, "My beloved Qutham, who resembles the Prophet in looks and features, and possesses the blessings. Whoever claims otherwise, let him claim!" Ma'mar said: Sābit narrated to me from Anas in his narration that Al-'Abbās sent his young slave to Al-Hajjaj ibn 'Ilāṭ and said, "Woe to you! What have you brought and what do you say?" Al-Hajjaj said, "Read to your master Abu Al-Faḍl the greetings from me and tell him to allow me in some of his houses so that I may come to him. The news has reached him, and it is as he would wish." So his slave came and when he reached the door of the house, he said, "Rejoice, O Abu Al-Faḍl!" Al-'Abbās jumped up in joy until he kissed him between the eyes, and he told him what Al-Hajjaj had said. Thus, Al-Hajjaj was freed by him. Then Al-Hajjaj came to him and told him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had conquered Khaybar, and their wealth had been taken and Allah's arrows had been shot at it, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had chosen Safiyyah bint Ḥuyayy for himself. He gave her the option to be freed and become his wife or to return to her people, and she chose to be freed and become his wife. However, I have come for the wealth that I had here. I wanted to collect it, so I sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he gave me permission to say what I wanted. So keep it a secret from me three times, and then mention what is apparent to you." He said, "So his wife gathered whatever she had of jewelry or goods and gave it to him. He continued with it until after three days, Al-'Abbās came to the wife of Al-Ḥajjaj, asking her, "What did your husband do?" She informed him that he had gone a few days ago and said, "Do not be saddened, O Abu Al-Faḍl, for what has reached you. He said, "Yes, by Allah! I am not saddened. Allah has never bestowed any merit upon us except that which we love. Allah has opened the spoils of Khaybar to His Messenger ﷺ and His arrows have been shot at them, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has chosen Safiyyah for himself. If you have any need for your husband, then join him." She said, "I believe you, by Allah, to be truthful." He said, "Indeed, I am truthful, and the matter is as I have informed you." He then went until he reached a gathering of Quraysh who were saying, "Whenever Al-Ḥajjaj passes by, only goodness comes to you, O Abu Al-Faḍl!" He said, "Nothing comes to me except goodness, by the praise of Allah. Al-Ḥajjaj ibn 'Ilāṭ has informed me that Khaybar has been opened by Allah to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and Allah

[Machine] I was a man who had been given something from the other women that no one else had been given. When Ramadan came, I appeared from my wife fearful that I would be affected by her during the night. I continued in this state and couldn't release until dawn caught up with me. While she was with me one night, something was exposed to me from her and I jumped on her. When I woke up in the morning, I went to my people and told them my news. I said, "Come with me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." They said, "No, by Allah, we will not go with you for fear that something from the Qur'an will be revealed in us and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say something about us that would remain our disgrace." So you go and do what seems right for you." So I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him my news. He said, "You are that person?" I said, "Yes, I am that person, so decide in my matter according to the judgment of Allah, for I am patient and hoping. So I have freed a slave." I struck my neck with my hand and said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, I do not possess anything else besides it." He said, "Fast for two consecutive months." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, have I only been afflicted with what I have been afflicted with in fasting?" He said, "Then feed sixty poor people." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, by the One who sent you with the truth, we spent this night of ours in a terrible condition, and we couldn't find anything for dinner." He said, "Go to the person who gave charity from the Banu Zurayq and let him give you something from his dates, so you may feed sixty poor people with it and seek his assistance for your family." So I went to my people and said, "I found difficulty with you. It was narrated to me from this source from Sulayman bin Yasir. And Abu Abdullah Rahman As-Salami allowed me to narrate it with a chain that is similar to this one. He told us that Abu Hassan bin Subayh informed them that I am Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Shirawayh, I am Ishaq al-Hanzali, I am Abdullah bin Idris, I am Muhammad bin Ishaq. He mentioned his chain of narration like this and said at the end, "Go to the person who gave charity from the Banu Zurayq and let him give you something from his dates so you may feed sixty poor people with it, and eat the rest, meaning the leftover dates." This narration indicates that he gives sixty poor people from the dates, and then he eats the rest of the dates. It also indicates what was narrated to us by Abu Ali Ar-Rudbahri, that Abu Bakr bin Dasa told them, Abu Dawood told them, Ibn As-Sarh told them, Ibn Wahb told them, Ibn Lahiah told them, and Amr bin Al-Harith told them, from Bukayr bin Al-Ashajj, from Sulayman bin Yasir, with this narration, who said, "The Prophet ﷺ was given dates, about fifteen Sa's. So he said, 'Give charity with this.' So he said, 'O Messenger of Allah, is there anyone poorer than me and my family?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'You and your family eat from it.' This narration agrees with the narration of Abu Salamah bin Abdur Rahman and Ibn Thawban in the story of Salamah bin Sakhr, and it is stronger. As for the Hadith of Aus bin As-Samit, the narrations differ regarding it.

[Machine] I saw Umar ibn Al-Khattab before he was struck by the days in Medina. He stood with Hudhaifah ibn Al-Yaman and Uthman ibn Hunayf and said, "How have you two managed to bear the burden of the earth that it cannot bear?" They said, "We have carried it by a command that it can bear." Hudhaifah said, "If I were to carry it, it would be weakened." Uthman ibn Hunayf said, "I have carried it by a command that it can bear, without any great favor." Umar then said, "See that you have not carried the burden of the earth that it cannot bear." They said, "No." Umar said, "If Allah grants me safety, I will leave the widows of Iraq without needing any man after me." He said, "Only four things came upon him until he was struck." He said, "And between me and him, there is no one except Abdullah ibn Abbas in the morning." He said, "And he used to stand between the rows. If he saw any disorder among them, he would say, 'Stand still until there is no disorder among them.' Then he would proceed and say the takbir." He said, "And perhaps he would recite Surah Yusuf or An-Nahl or something similar in the first raka'a until the people gathered." He said, "And it was only that he would say the takbir." He said, "I heard him say, 'The dog has killed me or the dog has eaten me,' when he was stabbed. Then he flew out of the wound with a double-edged knife that would not pass by anyone to the right or left except that it would stab him, until he stabbed thirteen men and nine of them died. When he saw that, a Muslim man threw a cloak on him. When the assassin thought that he had taken hold of him, he slit his own throat." He said, "And Umar held the hand of Abdullah ibn Awf and brought him forward." He said, "Who will take care of Umar? He has seen what he has seen." He said, "Regarding the surroundings of the mosque, they did not know anything except that they had lost the voice of Umar while they were saying, 'Subhan Allah, Subhan Allah.' Abdul-Rahman ibn Awf led them in a light prayer. When they finished, Umar said, 'O Ibn Abbas, see who killed me.' He went for a while and then came back and said, 'The slave of Al-Mughirah killed him.' He said, 'Really?' After they all spoke with their tongues and prayed towards their qibla and performed the Hajj according to their rites, he was brought to his house. We then left with him." He said, "And it was as if the people had not been affected by any calamity before that day. Some were saying, 'There is no harm,' while others were saying, 'We fear for him.' So they brought some wine and he drank it, and it came out of his wound. Then they brought some milk and he drank it, and it came out of his wound. They recognized that he was dead, and he mentioned this incident in his will and in the command to consult each other."
