[Machine] He asked the Prophet ﷺ about oaths, and the Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no oath in ignorance (pre-Islamic period of ignorance), so hold on to it, nor any oath in Islam…”
It was narrated from Qais bin 'Asim that he accepted Islam, and the Prophet commanded him to perform Ghusl with water and lotus leaves. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 188)

"The Prophet said to me: 'If you swear an oath, and you see something that is better, then do that which is better and offer expiation for your oath.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3789)
During the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) I was shooting some arrows when an eclipse of the sun tok place. I, therefore , threw them (the arrows) away and said: I must see how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ acts in a solar eclipse today. So I came to him; he was standing (in prayer) raising his hands, glorifying Allah, praising Him, acknowledging that He is the only Deity, and making supplication till the sun was clear. He then recited two surahs and prayed two rak'ahs. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1195)
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "(O ʿAbdur-Rahman!) Do not seek to be a ruler, for, if you are given the authority of ruling without your asking for it, then Allah will help you; but if you are given it by your asking, then you will be held responsible for it (i.e. Allah will not help you ) . And if you take an oath to do something and later on find another thing, better than that, then do what is better and make expiation for (the dissolution of) your oath." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6722)
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever takes spoils is not one of us, so return this sheep." They returned it and distributed it equally.
[Machine] "I found in a book written by my father, and I have the greatest knowledge that I heard it from him, that Ali ibn Abdullah narrated to us, who narrated to us Nasih ibn al-Ala', who is also known as Abu al-Ala', the freed slave of Banu Hashim, who narrated to us Ammar ibn Abi Ammar, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, that he passed by Abdur Rahman ibn Samurah while he was at the banks of Umm Abdulah, and the water was flowing with his slave girl and his followers. Ammar said to him, 'O Aba Sa'id, it is Friday.' Abdur Rahman ibn Samurah replied, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, 'When it is a day of rainy downpour, let one of you perform the prayer in his house.''

[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , Abu Abdur-Rahman narrated: I heard Al-Qawariri saying, "I used to be commanded by a person who would advise me. When I asked him for more, he would say, 'I have nothing else.' He was blind."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ mentioned and said, "Do not ask for leadership, for if you are given it without asking, you will be held accountable for it. But if you are given it by asking, you will be entrusted with it. And if you swear an oath on something and then see something better than it, then fulfill what is better and compensate for your oath."

The Prophet ﷺ said, "O ʿAbdur-Rahman bin Samura! Do not seek to be a ruler, because if you are given authority for it, then you will be held responsible for it, but if you are given it without asking for it, then you will be helped in it (by Allah): and whenever you take an oath to do something and later you find that something else is better than the first, then do the better one and make expiation for your oath." [Machine] For me, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "O Abdul Rahman, do not seek leadership, as it was mentioned in the hadith."
[Machine] Uthman ibn Affan came to the Prophet ﷺ with one thousand dinars in his garment when the Prophet ﷺ was preparing the army of Usrah. He poured it into the Prophet's room and the Prophet ﷺ started flipping it with his hand and saying, "What harm can Uthman ibn Affan do? He will keep repeating this."

10.63 [Machine] Jaber bin Sulaim Al-Hajimi
[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ , and he was sitting with his companions. I asked, "Who among you is the Prophet?" He replied, "Either he will lower his gaze towards himself or the people will point to him." Then, I saw a man wearing a white robe, and its hem was on his feet. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I abstain from certain things, so teach me." He said, "Fear Allah and do not belittle any act of kindness, even if it is pouring water from your bucket into the vessel of a person looking for water. And beware of suspicion, for Allah does not like suspicion. If someone insults you and accuses you of something he knows about you, do not accuse him of something you know about him, for then you will bear the sin and he will bear the reward. And do not revile anyone."
[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are a people from the desert, so teach us something that Allah may benefit us with." He ﷺ replied, "Do not belittle any good deed, even if it is just scooping water from your bucket into the vessel of someone seeking water. And if you speak to your brother, face him with a relaxed countenance. And beware of dragging your garment, for it is from pride, and Allah does not love pride. And if a person insults you for something they know about you, do not insult them for something you know about them. Surely, the reward is yours and the harm is upon the one who said it."
[Machine] "He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ among a group of people from the desert, and they said, 'We are people from the desert.' He mentioned a Hadith, except that he said, 'Do not curse him because of what you know about him, for indeed the reward for that is yours and the consequences are upon him.'"
[Machine] "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was wearing a cloak and its fringes had fallen on his feet. So, I said, 'Which one of you is Muhammad? Or is it the Messenger of Allah?' He pointed to himself with his hand, and I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I am from the people of the desert and they treat me badly. Advise me.' He said, 'Do not belittle any act of kindness, even if you meet your brother with a cheerful face while you empty your bucket into his container to fetch water. And if someone insults you with something they know about you, do not insult them with something you know about them, for then it will be their burden and reward on you. And beware of letting your garment hang below your ankles, for indeed, letting the garment hang below the ankles is from arrogance. And Allah does not love arrogance. And do not abuse anyone, for I have not abused anyone since the day I was given revelation, and neither a sheep nor a camel."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should I supplicate?" He said, "Supplicate to Allah alone, who, if you are afflicted with harm, you supplicate to Him and He removes it from you. And who, if you are lost in a barren land, you supplicate to Him and He guides you back. And who, if a year of famine befalls you, you supplicate to Him and He brings forth for you. I said, "Then advise me." He said, "Do not verbally abuse anyone, and do not underestimate any good deed, even if it is as small as meeting your brother with a smiling face. And even if you empty your bucket into the vessel of one who seeks water. And even if you gird your garment to half of your shin. If you are able to do more, then to the ankles. And beware of trailing your garment, for trailing the garment is from arrogance. And indeed, Allah does not love arrogance."
10.64 [Machine] A'idh bin 'Amr
[Machine] Yazid was one of the righteous companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . He approached Abdullah ibn Ziyad and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'The worst kind of shepherds are those who cause the sheep to disperse.' Abdul Rahman added, 'I think he also said, 'Beware of being one of them.' Yazid did not doubt this, so he said to him, 'Sit down, for you are from the elite companions of Muhammad ﷺ .' He asked, 'Were there any elite companions or descendants among them?' He replied, 'After them, there were descendants and others.'"
[Machine] There was a scarcity of water, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution in a small vessel or in a cup, and we (the companions) used the water that he poured for us. He ﷺ said, "The fortunate among us are those who receive it, and we do not see anyone who receives it except that the entire people have received it." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in performing the Duha prayer.
[Machine] Abu Bakr, do you claim that this is the sheikh of the Quraysh and its leader? The Prophet ﷺ was informed of that, and he said, "O Abu Bakr, you may have angered them. If you have angered them, then you have surely angered your Lord." He returned to them and said, "O our brothers, perhaps you have become angry." They said, "No, O Abu Bakr, may Allah forgive you."

[Machine] "Whoever is presented with sustenance, let him expand with it in his provisions. And if he is wealthy, let him direct it to those who are more in need of it than him."

[Machine] While we were with our Prophet ﷺ , he mentioned the story of the matter.
[Machine] Yes, indeed, the Prophet ﷺ prohibited tattooing, branding, mutilation, and ear cropping.
[Machine] While we were with our Prophet ﷺ, a bedouin came to him urgently requesting, saying, "O Messenger of Allah, feed me, O Messenger of Allah, give me." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up, entered the house, took hold of his belongings, and approached us with his face, saying, "I swear by the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if you knew what I knew about this matter, no man would ask another man while he has provision for the night. So he ordered food for him."
[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet ﷺ said, "Abdus-Samad (i.e., Allah) is the Master who deserves to be praised abundantly." A man said, "O Allah's Messenger ﷺ ! If I knew (meaning) I have been prayed to to a great extent by Allah, then how can I respond to Him?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "If Allah makes anyone obliged by giving him some of the sustenance without his asking for it (i.e., unrequested), then he should expand it (i.e., his sustenance) for it. If the person who has given the sustenance is wealthy, then he should direct it to the one who is more in need of it than him." (Translation by Al-Quran: Hadith 4497

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever is given provision by Allah without asking, let him accept it." Abdullah asked his father, "What is 'al-ishraf'?" He said, "You say to yourself, 'So and so will send someone to me.'"

10.66 [Machine] Man
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying that every surah has its share from the bowing and prostration (during prayer). Then I met him later and said, "Indeed, Ibn Umar used to recite (more) surahs in each unit of prayer. Do you know who told you this hadith?" He replied, "Indeed, I know it and I know since when it was narrated to me. It has been narrated to me for fifty years."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no obedience to a creation in disobedience to Allah." He (Imran) said, "Yes."
[Machine] Ziyad wanted to appoint Imran ibn Husein as the governor of Khorasan, but Imran refused. His companions said to him, "Did you leave Khorasan to be governed by others?" He replied, "By Allah, I am not pleased to pray in its seas while you pray in its storms. I fear that when I am in the enemy's trenches, I will receive a letter from Ziyad. If I go and meet him, I will be destroyed, and if I come back, my neck will be struck." Al-Hakam ibn Amr wanted to impose it on him, so he obeyed his command. Imran said, "Can anyone supplicate for me?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then left. Al-Hakam approached him and Imran said to him, "Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying 'There is no obedience to anyone in disobedience to Allah'?" He replied, "Yes." Imran then said, "All praise is due to Allah, or Allah is greater."

[Machine] From a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ from the Banu Ghifar tribe, it was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ prohibited a man from performing ablution with the leftover water of a woman's purification.
[Machine] There was a man from the people who said, "Shouldn't we invite him for you?" He replied to him, "No." Then, Imran stood up and met him among the people. Imran said to him, "Indeed, you have been entrusted with a great matter from the affairs of the Muslims." Then, he commanded, forbade, and advised him. After that, he said, "Do you remember the day when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to Allah'?" The judge said, "Yes." Imran said, "Allah is the Greatest."

The Messenger of Allah forbade men to perform ablution with the left over water by a woman. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 373)
[Machine] To the ruler of Ghifar, both of whom were companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, do you know the day when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah"? He said, "Yes." Imran said, "Allah is the Greatest! Allah is the Greatest!"

[Machine] "Do you remember the statement of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to the man who said to his commander to go to hell, and then he realized and felt remorse, so the Prophet ﷺ was informed about it? He said, 'If he had fallen into it, both of you would have entered the Fire together. There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah.' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'I only wanted to remind you of this saying.'"

10.68 [Machine] My father is a scorpion.
"Fast one day of each month." He asked him for more, saying: "May my father and mother be ransomed for you, I am able." He said: "Fast two days of each month." He said" May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah, I am able." The Messenger of Allah said: "I am able, I am able." He did not want to increase it, but when I insisted, the Messenger of Allah said: "Fast three days of each month." (Sahih) The end of what the Shaikh had about fasting, all praise is due to Allah the Lord of the worlds. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2434)
