The Messenger of Allah said: "There is no vow to commit an act of disobedience or with regard to that which the son of Adam does not possess." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3851)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا وَفَاءَ لِنَذْرٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ وَلَا فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ ابْنُ آدَمَ»

ʿThere is no obedience to any human being if it involves disobedience to Allah.ʿ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا طَاعَةَ لِبَشَرٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ

ʿThere is no obedience to any created being if it involves disobedience to Allah, may He be glorified and exalted.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوقٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ ﷻ

There is no transitive disease, no ill omen, no ghoul. Note: The majority of scholars interpret this to mean that these things in and of themselves do not transmit or cause harm through supernatural or hidden means but that Allah is ultimately in control and any fearful superstition around these is false. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَوَلَا غُولَ

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "War is deceit." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1675)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْحَرْبُ خَدْعَةٌ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah." Al-Hakam said, "Yes." Then 'Imran exclaimed, "This is great!"

سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ الْحَكَمُ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَكَبَّرَ عِمْرَانُ

ʿThere is no obedience to any human being if it involves disobedience to Allah.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 1065)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ

"There is no vow to commit an act of disobedience and its expiation is the expiation for an oath." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3834)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا نَذْرَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ أَوْ فِي غَضَبٍ وَكَفَّارَتُهُ كَفَّارَةُ الْيَمِينِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Modesty is entirely good."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْحَيَاءُخَيْرٌ كُلُّهُ

This tradition has also been transmitted by Sa'd (b. Abi Waqqas) from the Prophet ﷺ in a similar manner through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1470)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] To the ruler of Ghifar, both of whom were companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, do you know the day when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah"? He said, "Yes." Imran said, "Allah is the Greatest! Allah is the Greatest!"

لِلْحَكَمِ الْغِفَارِيِّ وَكِلَاهُمَا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ يَوْمَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ عِمْرَانُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "There is no obedience to anyone in disobedience to Allah." He ﷺ was asked: "Yes, indeed." He ﷺ said: "That is what I intended to say to you."

سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا طَاعَةَ لِأَحَدٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ قَالَ بَلَى قَالَ فَذَاكَ الَّذِي أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَقُولَ لَكَ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Umra (a gift given for life) is for the heir.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3716)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْعُمْرَى لِلْوَارِثِ

his father said: I heard Messenger of Allah saying: "There are no two Witr in one night." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 470)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا وِتْرَانِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah curse those who visit graves."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَعَنَ اللَّهُ زَائِرَاتِ الْقُبُورِ»

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Fasting is a shield."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2224)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا صَوْمَ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ» *

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا طَاعَةَ لِبَشَرٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا طَاعَةَ لِبَشَرٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ

A mischief-maker will not enter paradise. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4871)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ قَاطِعٌ»

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "War is deceit." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1675)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْحَرْبُ خَدْعَةٌ»

[AI] Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There is no obedience to anyone in disobedience to Allah?" Al-Hakam said, "Yes."

سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوقٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no obedience to a creation in disobedience to the Creator."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوقٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ الْخَالِقِ»

[AI] "Regarding the Prophet ﷺ he said, 'There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no obedience to a creature in disobeying Allah."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوقٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah." Then the other person said, "Allah is greater," three times or as he said.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ» فَقَالَ الْآخَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ ثَلَاثًا أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ»

[AI] I have been asking you since today, as you were sent on a great mission. Do you remember the day when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah"? He said, "Yes." Imran said, "Allah is the Greatest, I thought you had forgotten."

مَا زِلْتُ أَطْلُبُكَ مُنْذُ الْيَوْمِ إِنَّكَ بُعِثْتَ عَلَى أَمَرٍ عَظِيمٍ أَتَذْكُرُ يَوْمَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ عِمْرَانُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ حَسِبْتُ نَسِيتَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no obedience to anyone in disobedience to Allah." Allah is the greatest.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا طَاعَةَ لِأَحَدٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ» قَالَ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to Allah."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوقٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ»

[AI] "Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ said, 'There is no obedience in disobeying Allah.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا طَاعَةَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ»

ʿThere is no obedience to any created being if it involves disobedience to Allah, may He be glorified and exalted.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 1095)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوقٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ»

"لَا طَاعَةَ لِبَشَرٍ في مَعْصِيَةِ الله".

"لا طَاعَةَ لأَحَدٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ، إِنَّمَا الطَّاعَةُ فِي الْمَعْرُوفِ".
