[Machine] From a man among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , who said that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Shall I not inform you about the inhabitants of Paradise?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "The weak and oppressed." Then he said, "Shall I not inform you about the inhabitants of Hell?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Every harsh, arrogant person."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ الضُّعَفَاءُ الْمُتَظَلِّمُونَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ

He prayed Subh and recited Ar-Rum, but he stumbled in his recitation. When he had finished praying he said: 'What is the matter with people who pray with us without purifying themselves properly? Those people make us stumble in reciting Quran.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 947)

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ فَقَرَأَ الرُّومَ وَالْتُبِسَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قَالَ «مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يُصَلُّونَ

I and she (the Mother of the Faithful) do it and then take a bath. (Using translation from Muslim 350)

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلُ يُجَامِعُ أَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ يَكْسَلُ هَلْ عَلَيْهِمَا مِنْ غُسْلٍ وَعَائِشَةُ جَالِسَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ

"عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عِصْمَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ اشْتَرَى عُضْوًا مِنْ جَزُورٍ بِرِجْلٍ أَوَ عَنَاقٍ وَاشْتَرَطَ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا أَنْ يُرْضِعَهَا

"The Prophet was asked about a man who divorced his wife three times, then another man married her and he closed the door and drew the curtain, then divorced her before consummating the marriage with her. He said: "She is not permissible for the first one (to remarry her) until the second one has had intercourse with her.""

سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلاَثًا فَيَتَزَوَّجُهَا الرَّجُلُ فَيُغْلِقُ الْبَابَ وَيُرْخِي السِّتْرَ ثُمَّ يُطَلِّقُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا قَالَ

"عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الدِّيَرةِ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَوْ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: أَتَى رَجُلٌ أَبَا ذَرٍّ يَسْأُلُه فَأَعْطَاهُ شَيْئًا، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّهُ

"عَنْ وَاصِل مَوْلَى ابْن عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ سَألَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ امْرَأةٍ تَطَاوَلَ بِهَا دَمُ الحَيْضَةِ فَأرَادَتْ أنْ تَشْرَبَ دَوَاءً يَقْطَعُ الدَّمَ عَنْهَا، فَلَمْ يَرَ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was on a journey, and I raced ahead of him on foot. When I picked up the meat, I raced ahead of him and he raced ahead of me. He said, "This is in return for that race." This narration was also reported by Abu Usama from Hisham from a man from Abu Salama from Aisha. It was also narrated by Jarir from Hisham bin Urwa from his father from Aisha.

النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ فَسَابَقْتُهُ فَسَبَقْتُهُ عَلَى رِجْلِيَّ فَلَمَّا حَمَلْتُ اللَّحْمَ سَابَقْتُهُ فَسَبَقَنِي فَقَالَ هَذِهِ بِتِلْكَ السَّبْقَةِ وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ... عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ وَرَوَاهُ جَرِيرٌ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ

And he mentioned the hadith in a similar manner.

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَعَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَوَّلُ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ

أَنْ يَبِيعَ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ لَبِعْتُ لَكَ وَلَكِنْ سَاوِمْ وَاسْتَشِرْنِي أَشِرْ عَلَيْكَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ قَالَ نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ... مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ الْمَكِّيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنَحْوِهِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ ... طَلْحَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا قَالَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ إِلَّا مُؤَمَّلًا عَنْ حَمَّادٍ وَغَيْرُ مُؤَمَّلٍ يَرْوِيهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ

when the Messenger of Allah entered Makkah on the Day of the Conquest, he said: "Indeed, every accidental killing on purpose, or resembling on purpose - killing with a whip or stick, for it are forty (she-camels) which their young in their wombs."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمَّا دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ قَالَ أَلاَ وَإِنَّ كُلَّ قَتِيلِ خَطَإِ الْعَمْدِ أَوْ شِبْهِ الْعَمْدِ قَتِيلِ

[Machine] About a man from the Banu Sulaym who had a close relationship with the Prophet ﷺ , it is narrated that whenever the Prophet finished his meal, he would say, "O Allah, all praise is due to You. You have given me food and drink, satisfied me, and quenched my thirst. So all praise is due to You, without any deficiency, farewell, or being independent of You."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ اللهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَطْعَمْتَ وَسَقَيْتَ وَأَشْبَعْتَ وَأَرْوَيْتَ

[Machine] About a man who harmed his family while he was in a state of Ihram (sacred state of pilgrimage). They said, "They must both perform their Umrah (minor pilgrimage) before they can complete their Hajj pilgrimage." Then they must offer their sacrifices and also offer a Hadi (sacrificial animal). Ali ibn Abi Talib said, "When they enter the state of Ihram for Hajj, they must separate until they complete their Hajj pilgrimage."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَصَابَ أَهْلَهُ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ بِالْحَجِّ فَقَالُوا يَنْفُذَانِ لِوَجْهِهِمَا حَتَّى يَقْضِيَا حَجَّهُمَا ثُمَّ عَلَيْهِمَا الْحَجُّ مِنْ قَابِلٍ وَالْهَدْيُ وَقَالَ عَلِيُّ

[Machine] About a man from the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the heart of this nation, and he had a virtue that whenever he was praised or commended, he would say, "O Allah, do not hold me accountable for what they say, and forgive me for what they do not know."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ صَدْرِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ وَكَانَ لَهُ فَضْلٌ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا أُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهِ أَوْ مُدِحَ فَسَمِعَ قَالَ (اللَّهُمَّ لَا تُؤَاخِذْنِي

"عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِى رُؤَاسٍ قَالَ: الْتَقَطْتُ ثَلَاثَمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ فَعَرَّفْتُهَا، فَلَمْ يَعْرِفْهَا أَحَدٌ، فَأَتيْتُ عَلِيّا فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ: تَصَدَّقْ بِهَا، فَإِنْ

I and she (the Mother of the Faithful) do it and then take a bath.

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ إِنَّ رَجُلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُجَامِعُ أَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ يُكْسِلُ هَلْ عَلَيْهِمَا الْغُسْلُ وَعَائِشَةُ جَالِسَةٌ فَقَالَ

[Machine] About the man whom his gift is sent with, does he hold back from what the forbidden holds back from him? He said, "Then I heard the sound of her hands from behind the curtain, and then she said, 'I used to untangle the chains of the gift of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then he would send them and nothing would be prohibited from them."

عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَبْعَثُ بِهَدْيِهِ هَلْ يُمْسِكُ عَمَّا يُمْسِكُ عَنْهُ الْمُحْرِمُ؟ قَالَ فَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتَ يَدَيْهَا مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْحِجَابِ ثُمَّقَالَتْ قَدْ كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ

I and she (the Mother of the Faithful) do it and then take a bath. (Using translation from Muslim 350)

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُجَامِعُ أَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ يُكْسِلُ هَلْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ غُسْلٍ؟ وَعَائِشَةُ جَالِسَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ

"عَنِ الزُّهْرِىِّ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَكُونُ شَرِيكًا لابْنِهِ فِى مَالٍ فَيَقُولُ أَبُوهُ

كُلْ مِائَةَ دِينَارٍ مِنَ الْمَالِ الَّذِى بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكَ، قَالَ: قَضَى أَبُو

"عَنْ عَلِىٍّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ للمِقْدَادِ: سَلْ لِى رَسُولَ الله ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُلاَعِبُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَيُكلّمُهَا فَيَكُونُ مِنْهُ المَذىُ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَوْلاَ أَنَّ ابْنَتَهُ تَحْتِى

"عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: سُئِلَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ بَاعَ سَرْجًا بنَقْد، ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أنْ يَبْتَاعَهُ بدُونِ مَا بَاعَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُنْتَقَد؟ قَالَ: لَعَلَّهُ لَوْ بَاعَهُ مِنْ

This is the wording of the hadith of Abu Hudhayfah.

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَصْبَحْنَا صِيَامًا لِتَمَامِ ثَلَاثِينِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَجَاءَ رَجُلَانِ أَعْرَابِيَّانِ فَشَهِدَا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُمَا

[Machine] About a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ who said, "I participated in seven or three military expeditions with the Prophet ﷺ and I heard him saying, 'Muslims are partners in three things: water, pasture, and fire.'" He said, "I also heard Abu Hafs saying that I asked Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) about this matter and he narrated to me that Hariz ibn Uthman narrated to us that Hibban ibn Zaid ash-Sharabi narrated from a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ who said, 'I participated in a military expedition with the Prophet ﷺ .' Abu Hafs then came to us and Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us which I think is from Hariz. Hibban ibn Zaid ash-Sharabi. As for Yazid ibn Harun, he says it alone: 'Hibban.'"

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ غَزَوْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ سَبْعَ غَزَوَاتٍ أَوْ ثَلَاثَ غَزَوَاتٍ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ شُرَكَاءُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ فِي الْمَاءِ ... وَالْكَلَأِ وَالنَّارِ قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَفْصٍ يَقُولُ وَسَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ مُعَاذًا فَحَدَّثَنِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانَ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الشَّرْعَبِيُّ ... عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ غَزَوْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَبُو حَفْصٍ ثُمَّ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ فَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ أَظُنُّهُ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ ثنا

"عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُطَعمٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: أَمَرَ النَبِيُّ ﷺ بِشْرَ بْنَ سُحَيْمٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ أَنَّهُ يُنَادِي أَن لَّا يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When a man is asked about his brother, he has two options: if he chooses to remain silent, then he is in the right. And if he chooses to speak, then he is truthful." Abu Bakr Al-Sulaimani informed us, who was informed by Abu Al-Husayn Al-Fasawi, who was informed by Abu Ali Al-Lu'lu'i, who was informed by Abu Dawood. He mentioned it and said that one of them said about the man.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سُئِلَ الرَّجُلُ عَنْ أَخِيهِ فَهُوَ بِالْخِيَارِ إِنْ شَاءَ سَكَتَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ قَالَ فَصَدَقَ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ السُّلَيْمَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ ... الْفَسَوِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ اللُّؤْلُؤِيُّ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ فَذَكَرَهُ قَالَ وَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا عَنِ الرَّجُلِ

The Prophet ﷺ addressed the people at Mina and he made them stay in their dwellings. He then said: The Muhajirun (Emigrants) should stay here, and he made a sign to the right side of the qiblah, and the Ansar (the Helpers) here, and he made a sign to the left side of the qiblah; the people should stay around them.

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ خَطَبَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ النَّاسَ بِمِنًى وَنَزَّلَهُمْ مَنَازِلَهُمْ فَقَالَ لِيَنْزِلِ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ هَا هُنَا وَأَشَارَ إِلَى مَيْمَنَةِ

a man from among the Companions of the Prophet delivered a speech on the Day of the Conquest of Makkah and said: 'Indeed the accidental killing, which seems international, with a whip, a stick, or a rock, (the Diyah) is one hundred camels, of which forty should be pregnant she-camels between the ages of six and nine years old, all in the middle of their pregnancies."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ خَطَبَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ فَقَالَ أَلاَ وَإِنَّ قَتِيلَ الْخَطَإِ شِبْهِ الْعَمْدِ بِالسَّوْطِ وَالْعَصَا وَالْحَجَرِ مِائَةٌ

(one who fights) for displaying his valour; (a man who) fights out of his family pride and (a man who) fights for the sake of show, who amongst these fights in the way of Allah? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Who fights that the word of Allah be exalted fights in the way of Allah. (Using translation from Muslim 1904b)

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُقَاتِلُ شَجَاعَةً وَيُقَاتِلُ حَمِيَّةً وَيَقَاتِلُ رِيَاءً فَأَيُّ ذَلِكَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ تَعَالَى؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَاتَلَ لِتَكُونَ

[Machine] A man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, "There was a leader in Kufa. One day, he delivered a sermon and said, 'Indeed, in giving this money, there is temptation, and in withholding it, there is temptation.' Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up in his sermon and continued until he finished, then he descended."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ كَانَ بِالْكُوفَةِ أَمِيرٌ قَالَ فَخَطَبَ يَوْمًا فَقَالَ إِنَّ فِي إِعْطَاءِ هَذَا الْمَالِ فِتْنَةً وَفِي إِمْسَاكِهِ فِتْنَةً وَبِذَلِكَ

[Machine] A man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'You may recite behind the Imam while the Imam is reciting.' They said, 'We do that.' He said, 'Do not do so, except for one of you reciting Umm al-Kitab (Surah Al-Fatiha) or the opening of the Book.'"

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَقْرَءُونَ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ وَالْإِمَامُ يَقْرَأُ قَالُوا إِنَّا لَنَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ فَلَا تَفْعَلُوا

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Said ibn al-Musayyab and Sulayman ibn Yasar were asked whether, when a man married a slave of his to a slave-girl and the slave divorced her irrevocably, and then her master gave her to the slave, she was then halal for the slave by the possession of the right hand. They said, "No. She is not halal until she has married another husband."

أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ سُئِلاَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ زَوَّجَ عَبْدًا لَهُ جَارِيَةً فَطَلَّقَهَا الْعَبْدُ الْبَتَّةَ ثُمَّ وَهَبَهَا سَيِّدُهَا لَهُ هَلْ

[Machine] From two companions of Abdullah, it is narrated that they used to bring their heads close to Abdullah to hear what he says in his prostration. One of them said, "I heard him say, 'Glory be to You, there is no deity except You.'" And the other one said, "I heard him say, 'Glory be to You, there is no Lord except You.'"

عَنْ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّهُمَا كَانَا يُدْنِيَانِ رُءُوسَهُمَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ لِيَسْمَعَانِ مَا يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِهِ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ

a man from among the Companions of the Prophet delivered a speech on the Day of the Conquest of Makkah and said: 'Indeed the accidental killing, which seems international, with a whip, a stick, or a rock, (the Diyah) is one hundred camels, of which forty should be pregnant she-camels between the ages of six and nine years old, all in the middle of their pregnancies." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4794)

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ خَطَبَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ فَقَالَ «أَلَا إِنَّ قَتِيلَ الْخَطَأِ شِبْهِ الْعَمْدِ بِالسَّوْطِ وَالْعَصَا وَالْحَجَرِ مِائَةٌ

[Machine] A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a man who approaches his wife from behind, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is the lesser Lutiyah." Abu Abdur-Rahman Zaidah said to us, "I do not know what it is. It is unknown to me. I found in another place Asim al-Ahwal."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَأْتِي امْرَأَتَهُ فِي دُبُرِهَا فَقَالَ «تِلْكَ اللُّوطِيَّةُ الصُّغْرَى» قَالَ لَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ زَائِدَةُ لَا أَدْرِي

Al-Bukhari mentioned in this hadith that there is a discrepancy.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فَيُخْطِئُ بَعْضَ جَسَدِهِ الْمَاءُ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَغْسِلُ ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانَ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي عَاصِمُ

[Machine] From a companion of the Prophet, ﷺ , from Juheina or Muzaina, that they were with the Prophet, ﷺ , one or two days before Eid al-Adha, and they used to give the sheep as thanniyah (a specific type of charity). So the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "The jadha'ah (a different type of charity) rewards as the thanniyah rewards from it."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ أَوْ مُزَيْنَةَ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَبْلَ الْأَضْحَى بِيَوْمٍ أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ فَكَانُوا يُعْطُونَ الشَّاتَيْنِ

"عَنْ رجل من بنى ضبة قال: شهدت عليا حين نزل كربلاء، فانطلق فقام في ناحية، فأومأ بيده، فقال: مناخ ركابهم أمامه، وموضع رحالهم عن يساره، فضرب بيده إلى الأرض، فأخذ من الأرض قبضة فشمها فقال

[Machine] "On the authority of a companion of the Prophet ﷺ , the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Whoever kills a person from the people of a covenant (non-Muslims living under Muslim rule) will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, and its fragrance can be smelled from a distance of seventy years.'"

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ قَتَلَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ أَوْ لَمْ يَجِدْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: "Whoever hides knowledge that he knows, he will be bridled on the Day of Judgment with a bridle of fire." He said: "It is the testimony that is called for or not called for, and he knows it and does not guide its possessor to it. This is the knowledge."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ كَتَمَ عِلْمًا يَعْلَمُهُ أُلْجِمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ» قَالَ «هِي الشَّهَادَةُ تَكُونُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُدْعا لَهَا أَوْ لَا يُدْعَا

[Machine] I used to wash myself along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a container made of leather. One time, a man named Hawthara bin Ashras hurriedly preceded me and took up more space in the container, while some others made it short for Hammad. The man did not mention the name Shu'bah, and some of them sent him (the narration) without mentioning Urwah in its chain of transmission. And thus it goes.

كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ تَوْرٍ مِنْ شَبَهٍ يُبَادِرُنِي مُبَادَرَةً جَوَّدَهُ حَوْثَرَةُ بْنُ أَشْرَسَ وَقَصَّرَ بِهِ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ فَقَالَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ

"عَنْ عُرْوَةَ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُقْبِّلُ امْرَأَتَهُ أَيُعِيدُ الوضُوءَ؟ قَالَتْ: قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُ بَعَض نِسَائِهِ ثُمَّ لَا يُعِيدُ

[Machine] About a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the Asr prayer, and a man stood up to pray. Umar saw him and told him to sit down, for the people of the Book were destroyed because they did not perform their prayers properly. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Umar, Ibn al-Khattab, has spoken the truth."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ يُصَلِّي فَرَآهُ عُمَرُ فَقَالَ لَهُ اجْلِسْ فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ أَنَّهُ

[Machine] "From his father, who used to perform Hajj with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , that a man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ said: Hajjaj saw Abdullah from the Prophet ﷺ who said: Verily, the intensity of the heat is from the exhalation of Hellfire. So, when the heat becomes intense, then cool down from performing the prayer."

عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ يَحُجُّ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ أُرَاهُ عَبْدَ اللهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ ... مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَإِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ

"عَنْ زُرارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ رَجُل مِنْ قَوْمهِ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَامِرُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: كنتُ عِنْدَ نَبىَ الله ﷺ فَجاءَهُ سَائِل، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ: هَلُمَّ فَلنُحَدِّثكَ ... : إِنَّ الله قَدْ وَضَعَ عَن المُسَافرِ الصَوْمَ وَشَطرَ الصَّلاَةِ".

"عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَقْرأُونَ وَالإِمَامُ يَقْرَأُ؟ قَالُوا: إِنَّا

[Machine] And I, Abu Kamil, said that Abdul Wahid and Khalid Al-Tahhan, all of them reported from Khalid, from Abu Tamimah Al-Hujaymi, that a man said to his wife, "O sister!" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked that and prohibited it. This was narrated by Abdul Salam Ibn Harb from Khalid Al-Hathaa, from Abu Tamimah, from a man from his people who heard the Prophet ﷺ admonishing a man who said to his wife, "O sister!" This was also narrated by Abdul Aziz Ibn Al-Mukhtar from Khalid Al-Hathaa, from Abu Uthman, from Abu Tamimah, from the Prophet ﷺ . And it was narrated by Shu'bah from Khalid, from a man, from Abu Tamimah, from the Prophet ﷺ .

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُخْتُكَ هِيَ؟ فَكَرِهَ ذَلِكَ وَنَهَى عَنْهُ وَرَوَاهُ عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ أَنَّهُ ... سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ لِامْرَأَتِهِ يَا أُخَيَّةُ فَنَهَاهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَرَوَاهُ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ... عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَرَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بِنَحْوِهِوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رَوَاهُ بعض أصحاب عَبد الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَر عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ رجل عن القاسم عَن أبي هُرَيرة فيرون أن أيوب سمعه من عباد بن منصور ... وقد أسنده عَبد الواحد بن صبرة عن القاسم بن مُحَمد عَن أبي هُرَيرة

A man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited cupping and perpetual fasting, but he had not made them unlawful showing mercy on his Companions. Thereupon he was asked: Messenger of Allah, you observe perpetual fast till dawn. He replied: I observe perpetual fast till dawn (for) my Lord gives me food and drink. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2374)

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْحِجَامَةِ لِلصَّائِمِ وَالْمُوَاصَلَةِ وَلَمْ يُحَرِّمْهَا عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ

"عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْن الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِى نَضْرِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيةَ قَالَ: ذُكِرَتْ الْخَوَارِجُ فَسَبُّوهُم فَقَالَ عَلِىٌّ: أَمَّا إِذَا خَرَجُوا عَلَى إِمَامِ هُدًى فَسُبُّوهُم

Sulaiman b. Yasar, the freed slave of Maimuna, the wife of Allah's Apostle ﷺ, narrated from one of the Ansari Companions of Messenger of Allah ﷺ that Messenger of Allah ﷺ retained (the practice) of Qasama as it was in the pre-Islamic days.

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ مَوْلَى مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ أَنَّ
