Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used not to fast while travelling.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ لاَ يَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used not to fast while travelling.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ لاَ يَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ
ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar used to say, "There is no more Hijrah (i.e. migration) after the Conquest of Mecca."
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ
ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar used to say, "There is no migration after the Conquest (of Mecca).
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
‘More weak than Ya’qūb bin Atā ’?’ He said: ‘Yes’. Then he said: ‘I did not see anyone transmitting on authority of Muhammad bin Abd Allah bin Ubayd bin Umayr’.
ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ فَضَعَّفَهُ جِدًّا فَقِيلَ لِيَحْيَى أَضْعَفُ مِنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ نَعَمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا كُنْتُ أُرَى أَنَّ أَحَدًا يَرْوِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ

A hadith like this has been narrated by 'Ubaidullah b. Umar with the the same chain of transmitters.

"I heard Ibrahim (narrate) from 'Alqamah and Al-Aswad from 'Abdullah," and he narrated something similar.

"I heard Ibrahim (narrate) from 'Alqamah and Al-Aswad from 'Abdullah," and he narrated something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 720)

When I came to Madinah, sickness was occurring in the city and they were dying quickly. I sat with 'Umar bin al Khattab ؓ and a funeral passed by, Good things were said about (the deceased) and ‘Umar ؓ said: It is due. Then another (funeral) passed by; good things were said about (the deceased) and he said: It is due. Then a third funeral passed by: bad things were said about the deceased and ‘Umar said: It is due. I said: What is due, O Ameer al Mu'mineen? He said: I said what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿAny Muslim in whose favour four people testify, Allah will admit him to Paradise.ʿ We said: Or three? He said: “Or three.ʿ We said: Or two? He said: ʿOr two.” Then we did not ask him about one, (Using translation from Aḥmad 204)

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "Duluk ash-shams begins from when the sun passes the meridian."
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ دُلُوكُ الشَّمْسِ مَيْلُهَا
Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "(Voluntary) prayer in both the day and night is two at a time with a taslim after every 2 raka'ahs." Malik said, "That is the custom among us."
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى يُسَلِّمُ مِنْ كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَالَ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ مَالِكٌ : وَهُوَ الْأَمْرُ عِنْدَنَا
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Salim ibn Abdullah that Abdullah ibn Umar used to shorten the prayer when he travelled for a whole day.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقْصُرُ الصَّلاَةَ فِي مَسِيرِهِ الْيَوْمَ التَّامَّ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Salim ibn Abdullah that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "Things that pass in front of a man praying do not break his prayer."
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ يَقْطَعُ الصَّلاَةَ شَىْءٌ مِمَّا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَىِ الْمُصَلِّي
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar did not say qunut in any of the prayers.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ لاَ يَقْنُتُ فِي شَىْءٍ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used not to recite when praying over a dead person.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ لاَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصَّلاَةِ عَلَى الْجَنَازَةِ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "Zakat does not have to be paid on property until a year has elapsed over it."
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ تَجِبُ فِي مَالٍ زَكَاةٌ حَتَّى يَحُولَ عَلَيْهِ الْحَوْلُ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar used to disapprove of anybody wearing a belt or girdle while in ihram.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ لُبْسَ الْمِنْطَقَةِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say that a man in ihram should not veil anything above his chin .
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ مَا فَوْقَ الذَّقَنِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ فَلاَ يُخَمِّرْهُ الْمُحْرِمُ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say that a woman in ihram should wear neither a veil nor gloves.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ تَنْتَقِبُ الْمَرْأَةُ الْمُحْرِمَةُ وَلاَ تَلْبَسُ الْقُفَّازَيْنِ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar once entered ihram at al-Fur.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَهَلَّ مِنَ الْفُرْعِ
Yahya related to me from Malik from a reliable source that Abdullah ibn Umar once entered ihram at Ilya (Jerusalem).
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَهَلَّ مِنْ إِيلْيَاءَ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to pray in the mosque of Dhu'l-Hulayfa, and then go outside and get on his camel and when his camel had stood up he would begin to do talbiya.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ
Yahya related to me from Malik, from Nafi, that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "Someone in ihram may neither get married, nor arrange a marriage for himself or others."
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ يَنْكِحِ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلاَ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "A sacrificial animal is what has been garlanded, branded, and stood with on Arafa."
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ الْهَدْىُ مَا قُلِّدَ وَأُشْعِرَ وَوُقِفَ بِهِ بِعَرَفَةَ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, about sacrificial animals, "Six-year-old camels, three- year-old cows and sheep, or older than these."
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي الضَّحَايَا وَالْبُدْنِ الثَّنِيُّ فَمَا فَوْقَهُ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Thawr ibn Zayd ad-Dili from Abdullah ibn Abbas the same as that.
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Urnar used to say, "The least thing that is acceptable as a sacrificial animal is a camel or a cow."
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ مَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْى بَدَنَةٌ أَوْ بَقَرَةٌ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar cauterized for the palsy and he had a talisman made for a scorpion sting.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ اكْتَوَى مِنَ اللَّقْوَةِ وَرُقِيَ مِنَ الْعَقْرَبِ
(Another chain) with similar meaning. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3093)
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ
[AI] From Imran ibn Husain, may Allah be pleased with him.
عَنْ عُمَرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ
[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to her, "Indeed, Abdullah bin Umar is a righteous man."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهَا «إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ»
[AI] Abdullah used to not consistently observe any act of worship except for performing the Witr prayer before the rak'ah.
«كَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ لَا يَقْنُتُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ إِلَّا فِي الْوِتْرِ قَبْلَ الرَّكْعَةِ»
[AI] Abdullah ibn Umar told the truth.
