“We were sitting with ‘Umar and he said: ‘Which of you has remembered a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ concerning Fitnah?’” Hudhaifah said: “I said: ‘I have.’ He said: ‘You are very bold.’ He said: ‘How?’ He said: ‘I heard him say: “The fitnah of a man with regard to his family, his children and his neigbors are expiated by his prayers, fasts, charity and enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil.” ‘Umar said: ‘This is not what I meant, rather I meant that which moves like the waves of the sea.’” Hudhaifah said: “Don’t worry about it, O Commander of the Believers! For there is a closed door between you and them.” ‘Umar said: “Will that door be broken or opened?” I said: “No, it will be broken.” ‘Umar said: “Then it will never be closed.’” We asked Hudhaifah: “Did ‘Umar know what that door meant?” He said: "Yes, just as he knows that there will be night before morning, because I narrated to him a Hadith in which there are no errors.” We were afraid to ask him who the door was, so we said to Masruq: “Ask him." He said: “‘Umar.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3955)

[Machine] Inform us about a man who is closely connected to guidance, direction, and evidence from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , so that we may learn from him. He said, "I do not know anyone who is closer in regards to guidance, direction, and evidence from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , until he is hidden behind the walls of his home, from the son of the mother of Abd."
[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey when he stepped aside and came to a tribe. I stayed away from him until I was close to his heels. Then he raised his head, stood up, called for water, performed ablution, and wiped over his socks.
"Whenever the Messenger of Allah got up for prayer at night to pray Tahajjud (night optional prayer), he would clean his mouth with the tooth stick." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 286)
"The Prophet came out and met me when I was sexually impure, so I kept away from him. Then I had a bath and came to him. He said: 'What is the matter with you?' I said: 'I was sexually impure.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'The Muslim does not become impure.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 535)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ narrated from Hammad, who narrated from Ibrahim, who narrated from the Prophet ﷺ something similar to this: He met the Prophet ﷺ , but then abstained from him, performed ablution, and came back. The Muslim said, "He does not become impure."
[Machine] I asked the Prophet ﷺ about everything, even about wiping off the pebbles, and he said: "Once or leave it."
"We were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ and he said: 'I do not know how long I will be with you, so stick to the two after me,' and he signaled towards Abu Bakr and 'Umar." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3663)
A mischief-maker will not enter paradise. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4871)
"I was harsh in the way I spoke to my family, but not to others. I mentioned that to the Prophet (saas) and he said: 'Why don't you ask for forgiveness? Ask Allah to forgive you, seventy times each day.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3817)
[Machine] Abu Musa used to struggle with urinating. He said, "When the children of Israel would face difficulty in urinating, they would use two small stones to wash themselves." Hudhaifa said, "I wish he wouldn't struggle. I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ come or walk to the outskirts of a people's land while he was standing."
[Machine] The branch raised once to the Prophet ﷺ and he said, "Allah will bring out a group of sinners, who have been burned by the fire, by the intercession of the intercessors. He will admit them to Paradise, and they will be called the Hell-dwellers." He said, "They are the Hell-dwellers."
"When the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all of his body parts bow to the tongue and say: 'Fear Allah regarding us, we are only part of you. If you are straight we are straight and if you are crooked we are crooked." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2407)
[Machine] "They sent me from Ma'a to Kufa to buy animals. So we arrived at the market and there was a man with a crowd gathered around him. As for my companion, he went to the animals, and as for me, I approached the man and it turned out to be Hudhayfah. I heard him saying, 'The companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to ask him about good things, and I used to ask him about evil things. So I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, is there evil after this good, as there was before?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'What protection is there from it?' He said, 'The sword.' So I think that Abu Tayyah said, 'The sword, I think.' I said, 'Then what?' He said, 'Then there will be a truce between you and the smoke (of the Hour).' I said, 'Then what?' He said, 'Then the callers to misguidance will emerge. So if you see at that time the caliph of Allah on the earth, then join him and stick to his group even if you have to crawl over ice. I said, 'Then what?' He said, 'Then the Dajjal will come out.' I said, 'By what will he be accompanied?' He said, 'He will be accompanied by a river or by water and fire. Whoever enters his river will have his reward, and what is due to him will be taken away, and whoever enters his fire will have his reward and what is due to him will be taken away.' I said, 'Then what?' He said, 'If you could acquire a horse and you did not mount it, you would surely regret it until the Hour starts.'"
[Machine] "Narrated by the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is the ruling regarding intoxication?' He replied, 'Hearts that do not return to what they used to be.'"
[Machine] And he said and reduced his reward and reduced his sin.
[Machine] I went some time ago, and it was still covered until I reached Kufa, so I entered the mosque and there I saw a circle in which there was a man with a flaw among men, known for being from the people of Al-Hijaz. I asked, "Who is the man?" And the people said, "Don't you know him?" I said, "No." They said, "This is Hudhayfah ibn Al-Yaman, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." So I sat down and spoke to the people and he said, "People used to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about good, and I used to ask him about evil. The people disapproved of this, so he said to them, 'I will tell you what you disapprove of. Islam came when something came that was not like the pre-Islamic era. I was given understanding in the Quran, so men would come and ask about good, and I would ask about evil. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, will there be evil after this good, just as there was evil before it?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'Then what is immunity, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'The sword.' I said, 'Will there be any immunity after this sword?' He said, 'Yes, there will be Imarah on the path of those who are straight, and truce on the path of those who are unjust.' I said, 'Then what?' He said, 'Then the callers of misguidance will come out. If Allah has a Khalifa on earth on that day, he should beat your back and take your wealth, so stay with him. Otherwise, die while you are clinging to a tree branch.' I said, 'Then what?' He said, 'Then the Dajjal will emerge with a river and fire. Whoever falls into his fire, his reward will be obligatory and his sins will be erased. Whoever falls into his river, his sins will be obligatory and his reward will be erased.' I said, 'Then what?' He said, 'Then the mahar will be introduced, and it will not be ridden until the Hour stands and there is a sound among men.' I asked, 'What is immunity from it?' He said, 'The sword.' Qatadah used to place it on the apostasy that existed during the time of Abu Bakr. And when he said, 'Imarah on the path of those who are straight,' he meant on the path of those who are on guidance. And when he said, 'truce on the path of those who are unjust,' he meant peace. And when he said, 'on the path of those who are on smoke,' he meant on the path of those who are on coal. 'Abd al-Razzaq was asked, 'Whose interpretation is this?' He said, 'It is attributed to Qatadah.'

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ narrated to us with two narrations, one of which I have seen while waiting for the other, so he mentioned the narration.
[Machine] He heard Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman say, "O people, don't you ask me? People used to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about good, and I used to ask him about evil. Allah sent His Prophet ﷺ to invite people from disbelief to faith, and from misguidance to guidance. Whoever responded to his call, they embraced the truth and revived what was dead within them. And whoever rejected his call, they remained in falsehood even if they were physically alive. Then prophethood came to an end, and the caliphate followed the path of prophethood."
[Machine] "Which one of you witnessed the prayer of fear with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" Hudhaifah said, "I did." So Hudhaifah commanded them to put on their weapons. Then he said, "If the enemy attacks you, then you may engage in battle." He led one group in prayer while the other group faced the enemy. Then he turned and performed another prayer with the second group. After that, the first group took their place and the other group came, and he performed another prayer with them. Then he greeted them."
[Machine] We were with Hudhayfah, and then a man passed by and they said, "Indeed, this person conveys the conversations to the leaders." He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'A backbiter will not enter Paradise.'"
[Machine] "There will come upon Madar a day when they will not invite anyone to worship Allah except that they will kill him, or they will harm him until he is severely injured. They will not prevent him from committing a major sin or a minor sin. It was asked, 'O Abu Abdullah, do you say this to your people or to another group?' He replied, 'I do not say it except what I heard from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying.'"

[Machine] When is your last meeting with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ? I said, "I haven't had any meeting with him since such and such a time." She understood my situation, so I said, "Mother, let me go to the Prophet ﷺ so that I don't leave him until he seeks forgiveness for me and for you." So I went to him and prayed Maghrib prayer with him. When he finished the prayer, he stood up to pray more and he continued to pray until he prayed Isha prayer, then he left.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from drinking from vessels made of gold and silver, and from eating from them, and from wearing silk and brocade. He said that those things are for them in this world, and for you in the Hereafter.
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever imposes a condition on his brother that he does not intend to fulfill, then he is like one who takes his neighbor to a place without permission."
The Messenger of Allah said: 'I know what the Dajjal will have with him. He will have two flowing rivers, one that appears to the eye to be clear water, and one that appears to the eye to be flaming fire. If anyone sees that, let him go to the river which he thinks is fire and close his eyes, then lower his head and drink from it, for it is cool water. The Dajjal has one blind eye, with a layer of thick skin over it, and between his eyes is written "disbeliever," which every believer will read, whether he is literate or illiterate.' (Using translation from Muslim 2934b)

[Machine] that He came from Umar and said, "When we sat with him yesterday, Umar asked the companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , "Which of you has heard the saying of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about Fitnah (tribulations)?" They said, "We have heard it." He said, "Perhaps you are referring to the Fitnah of a man with his family and wealth?" They said, "Yes." He said, "I am not asking about that. I am asking about the Fitnah that causes waves like the waves of the sea." Then the people fell silent, and I thought that he meant me. I said, "I." He said, "You is to Allah as your father." I said, "I." He said, "Fitnah is presented to the hearts like a reed mat. Whichever heart rejects it, a white dot is made in it. Whichever heart accepts it, a black dot is made in it, until the hearts become two types: one white like a pure white stone, which will not be harmed by any Fitnah for as long as the heavens and earth exist; and the other dark and bulky, like a vessel that is turned over, and he does not know what Ma'ruf (good) is, nor does he reject Munkar (evil), except for that which his whims dictate."
"And I told him that there was a closed door between him and I, which was about to be broken. Umar said, "There is no barrier for you." I said, "Yes." He said, "If it were opened, perhaps it would be closed again." I said, "No, it will be broken." He said, "And I told him that behind that door was a man who would be killed or die, in a matter that is not a trivial one."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "All acts of kindness are considered charity and the last thing remaining from the times of ignorance is the saying of the prophets: 'If you have no shame, then do as you wish.'"

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying in a pathway of the streets of Medina, "I am Muhammad and I am Ahmad, and I am the gatherer and the final one, and I am the Prophet of mercy."

[Machine] Gabriel met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Al-Mira'ah stone. Gabriel said, "O Gabriel, I have been sent to an illiterate nation, to the old man, the young boy, the slave girl, and the old woman, and to the elderly man who has never read a book." He said, "Verily, the Quran was revealed with seven dialects."

[Machine] I prayed behind Eisa, the master of Hudhayfa, in Madinah at a funeral. He made five takbeers (saying Allahu Akbar) and then turned towards us and said, "I did not forget or confuse, but I made takbeer as my master, the one who was favored by Allah, Hudhayfa ibn al-Yaman, did; and my guide, the messenger of Allah ﷺ , made takbeer as well when praying upon a deceased person. He made five takbeers."

[Machine] I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, is there evil after this good, just as there was evil before it?" He said, "O Hudhaifah, read the Book of Allah and act upon what is in it, then turn away from me." So, I asked him the same question three times, and I knew that if it were good, I would follow it, and if it were evil, I would avoid it. So, I asked, "Is there evil after this good?" He said, "Yes, there will be blind and deaf trials, and callers to misguidance at the gates of hell. Whoever responds to them will be thrown into it."

[Machine] The pool of Muhammad ﷺ on the Day of Judgment, its drink is whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, cooler than snow, and its scent is more pleasant than musk. And indeed, its vessels are equal in number to the stars in the sky.

[Machine] We were with Sa'id ibn al-'As in Tabaristan and with him were some companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He asked, "Which of you prayed the prayer of fear with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" Hudhaifa said, "I did. I would order your companions to stand in two groups, one behind you and one towards the enemy. You would all then say the takbeer and they would say the takbeer along with you. You would then perform the ruku' and they would perform the ruku' with you. You would then raise your head and they would raise their heads with you. Then you would make the sajdah and they would make the sajdah with you. The group that is behind you and the group that is towards the enemy would perform the standing position towards the enemy. When you raise your head from the sajdah, they would perform the sajdah and then the others would move forward and perform ruku', following your movements. Then they would raise their heads and perform the ruku' along with you. Then they would make the sajdah and the group that is behind you and the other group would perform the standing position towards the enemy. When you raise your head from the sajdah, they would perform the sajdah and then you would say the salaam and some of them would give salaam to others. You would then order your companions that if the enemy attacks them with a sudden attack, they should start fighting them and should not speak."

Every people have Magians, and the Magians of this community are those who declare that there is no destination by Allah. If any one of them dies, do not attend his funeral, and if any one of them is ill, do not pay a sick visit to him. They are the partisans of the Antichrist (Dajjal), and Allah will surely join them with the Antichrist. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4692)

[Machine] We were with the Prophet ﷺ at a funeral. When we reached the grave, the Prophet ﷺ sat on its edge and began to repeat his gaze towards it. Then he said, "The believer is squeezed in it, his ribs are relieved from it and filled with fire upon the disbeliever." Then he said, "Shall I not inform you about the best of Allah's servants?" The humble and weak ones, those who have two sides of their cloak. If he swears by Allah, Allah will fulfill his oath."
