The Prophet ﷺ offered the funeral prayer for Ashama, the Negus, with four Takbir.  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى أَصْحَمَةَ النَّجَاشِيِّ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا  

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet ﷺ offered the funeral prayer for Najashi and said four Takbir.  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ فَكَبَّرَ أَرْبَعًا  

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet ﷺ offered the funeral prayer for Najashi and said four Takbir. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1538)   

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ فَكَبَّرَ أَرْبَعًا  

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet ﷺ offered the funeral prayer for Najashi and said four Takbir. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1538)   

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «صَلَّى عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ وَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا»  

"أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى النَّجَاشِي، فَكَبَّر عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا".  

It has been narrated on the authority of Anas that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ wrote to Chosroes (King of Persia), Caesar (Emperor of Rome), Negus (King of Abyssinia) and every (other) despot inviting them to Allah, the Exalted. And this Negus was not the one for whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said the funeral prayers.  

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَتَبَ إِلَى كِسْرَى وَإِلَى قَيْصَرَ وَإِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ وَإِلَى كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَلَيْسَ بِالنَّجَاشِيِّ الَّذِي صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ  

"Before he died, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had written to Kisra, Ceasar, An-Najashi, and to every tyrant calling them to Allah. This An-Najashi is not the one that the Prophet ﷺ performed to the funeral Salat for."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَتَبَ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ إِلَى كِسْرَى وَإِلَى قَيْصَرَ وَإِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ وَإِلَى كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَلَيْسَ بِالنَّجَاشِيِّ الَّذِي صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ  

"Before he died, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had written to Kisra, Ceasar, An-Najashi, and to every tyrant calling them to Allah. This An-Najashi is not the one that the Prophet ﷺ performed to the funeral Salat for." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2716)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَتَبَ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ إِلَى كِسْرَى وَإِلَى قَيْصَرَ وَإِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ وَإِلَى كُلِّ جُبَارٍ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللهِ تَعَالَى لَيْسَ النَّجَاشِيُّ الَّذِي صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ  

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered prayer for Ashama, the Negus, and recited four takbirs.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى أَصْحَمَةَ النَّجَاشِيِّ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا  

[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for An-Najashi."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ  

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died, the Negus  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا مَاتَ النَّجَاشِيُّ  

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet ﷺ offered the funeral prayer for Najashi and said four Takbir. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1538)   

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ فَكَبَّرَ أَرْبَعًا  

The Prophet ﷺ offered the funeral prayer for Ashama, the Negus, with four Takbir. (Using translation from Bukhārī 3879)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى أَصْحَمَةَ النَّجَاشِيِّ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا  

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the funeral prayer for An-Najashi and said takbeer upon him four times.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا  

The Prophet ﷺ offered the funeral prayer for Ashama, the Negus, with four Takbir. (Using translation from Bukhārī 3879)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى أَصْحَمَةَ النَّجَاشِيِّ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا  

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered the funeral prayer for As-Samasih Al-Najashi and raised his voice in takbeer four times.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى أَصْحَمَةَ النَّجَاشِيُّ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا  

It has been narrated on the authority of the same narrator through another chain of transmitters with the same difference in the wording.  

عَنْ أَنَسٍ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ وَلَيْسَ بِالنَّجَاشِيِّ الَّذِي صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ  

It was narrated from Ibn Buraidah, from his father, that an-Najashi sent a pair of pure black Khuff as a gift to the Prophet ﷺ of, which he wore.  

أَنَّ النَّجَاشِيَّ أَهْدَى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ خُفَّيْنِ سَاذَجَيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ فَلَبِسَهُمَا  

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was informed of the death of Al-Najashi, he said: "Indeed, your brother Al-Najashi has passed away, so pray for him." Then he stood up and prayed for him, with the people behind him.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا بَلَغَهُ وَفَاةُ النَّجَاشِيِّ قَالَ إِنَّ أَخَاكُمْ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَهُ  

[Machine] "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was informed of the death of An-Najashi, he said, 'Indeed, your brother An-Najashi has passed away, so pray for him.' Then, he stood and prayed for him with the people behind him."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا بَلَغَهُ وَفَاةُ النَّجَاشِيِّ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيُّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ» فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَهُ  

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Your brother has died, so get up and pray for him."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1946)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: Indeed, your brother An-Najashi has passed away, so pray upon him.  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أَخَاكُمْ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ  

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Your brother has died, so get up and pray for him."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1946)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, your brother An-Najashi has passed away, so pray for him."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيُّ تُوُفِّيَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ»  

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, your brother, the Negus, has passed away, so pray for him."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيُّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, your brother An-Najashi has passed away, so pray for him."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, your brother, An-Najashi, has passed away, so seek forgiveness for him."  

لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوا لَهُ»  

"إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشىَّ قد مات فَقوموا فصلُّوا عليه".  

"إِنَّ أَخاكم النجاشىَّ قد ماتَ فمن أَراد أَن يصلِّى عليه فَليُصَلِّ".  

"إِنّ أَخاكم النَّجَاشِىَّ قد ماتَ فاسْتَغْفِرُوا لهُ".  

[Machine] And the name of the Negus is Ashama.  

وقَالَ اسْمُ النَّجَاشِيِّ أَصْحَمَةُ  

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ prayed for An-Najashi and stood us behind him in two rows.  

أَنَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ وَصَفَفْنَا خَلْفَهُ صَفَّيْنِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, your brother An-Najashi has passed away, so seek forgiveness for him."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوا لَهُ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, your brother An-Najashi has passed away, so seek forgiveness for him."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوا لَهُ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, your brother An-Najashi has passed away, so seek forgiveness for him".  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ مَاتَ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوا لَهُ»  

[Machine] "The name of Al-Najashi was Masahamah in Arabic, and only Al-Najashi is the name of the king, just like Khusrow and Heraclius."  

«كَانَ اسْمُ النَّجَاشِيِّ مَصْحَمَةَ وَهُوَ بِالْعَرَبِيَّةِ عَطِيَّةُ وَإِنَّمَا النَّجَاشِيُّ اسْمُ الْمَلِكِ كَقَوْلِكَ كِسْرَى وَهِرَقْلُ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ received news of the death of the Negus, so he said to his companions, "Your brother, the Negus, has passed away. Whoever wishes to pray for him, let them pray for him." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then turned towards Abyssinia and performed four takbirs (reciting "Allahu Akbar").  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَلَغَهُ مَوْتُ النَّجَاشِيِّ فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ» فَتَوَجَّهَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَحْوَ الْحَبَشَةِ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا  

"بَلَغَ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ مَوْتُ النَّجَاشِىِّ، فَقَالَ لأَصْحَابِهِ: إِنَّ الحَاكِمَ النَّجَاشِىَّ قَدْ مَاتَ، فَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُصَلِّىَ عَلَيْهِ فَليُصَل عَلَيْهِ، فَتَوَجَّهَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ نَحْوَ الحَبشَةِ فَكَبَّر عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا".  

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ said, "He (the Prophet) performed takbir (recited Allahu Akbar) five times upon the Negus (ruler of Abyssinia)."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «كَبَّرَ عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ خَمْسًا»  

"عَنْ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ كَبَّرَ عَلَى النَّجاشَىِّ أرْبعًا".  

[Machine] "And that the Prophet ﷺ married her, and An-Najāshī gave her four hundred dinars as dowry."  

«وَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَزَوَّجَهَا وَأَصْدَقَ عَنْهُ النَّجَاشِيُّ أَرْبَعَمِائَةِ دِينَارٍ»  

"When An-Najashi died, the Prophet said: 'Pray for forgiveness for him."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2041)   

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلنَّجَاشِيِّ»  

[Machine] And he said, "What do you say?" So we said, "Indeed, our people worship idols, and indeed Allah has sent a Messenger to us, so we believed in him and affirmed him." So Najashi said to them, "Are they your slaves?" They said, "No." He said, "Then they are free from any debt from you?" They said, "No." He said, "So leave them alone." So we left his presence. 'Amr bin Al-Aas said, "Indeed, these people say about 'Isa (Jesus) what you do not say." He said, "If they do not say about 'Isa what I say, I will not leave them in my land for a moment of the day." He said, "So he sent for us, and his invitation was tougher on us than the first. So he said, "What does your companion say about 'Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus, son of Mary)?" So we said, "He says he is the Spirit of Allah and His word, which He bestowed upon the Virgin Mary." He said, "So he sent for them and said, "Summon this priest and this monk." So people from among them came to him, and he said, "What do you say about 'Isa ibn Maryam?" They said, "You know best." He said, "So what do you say?" Najashi took something from the ground, and said, "This is what 'Isa says. He does not exceed what these people say." Then he said to them, "Does anyone harm you?" They said, "Yes." So he commanded a caller to announce, "Whoever harms any of them will be granted an allowance of four dirhams." Then he said, "Is this enough for you?" They said, "No." So he doubled it. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ emigrated to Al-Madinah and appeared there, we said to Najashi, "Indeed, our companion has left for Al-Madinah and has appeared there, and he emigrated and killed those whom we informed you about, and we wanted to join him." So he provided us with what we needed and said, "Inform your companion of what I have done for you, and this is my Messenger with you, and I testify that there is no god but Allah, and that you are the Messenger of Allah." So tell him to seek forgiveness for me." Ja'far said, "So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up, performed ablution, then he prayed three times, 'O Allah, forgive Najashi.' And the Muslims said, 'Ameen.' Ja'far said, "I said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , 'Leave now and inform your companion about what you have seen of the Prophet ﷺ .' And the wording is that of the hadith of Muhammad bin Adam."  

بَعَثَتْ قُرَيْشٌ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ وَعُمَارَةَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ بِهَدِيَّةٍ مِنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ إِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ فَقَالُوا لَهُ وَنَحْنُ عِنْدَهُ قَدْ بَعَثُوا إِلَيْكَ أُنَاسًا مِنْ سَفَلَتِنَا وسُفَهَائِهِمْ فَادْفَعْهُمْ إِلَيْنَا قَالَ لَا حَتَّى أَسْمَعَ كَلَامَهُمْ فَبَعَثَ إِلَيْنَا وَقَالَ مَا تَقُولُونَ؟ فَقُلْنَا إِنَّ قَوْمَنَا يَعْبُدُونَ الْأَوْثَانَ وَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ بَعَثَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَآمَنَّا بِهِ وَصَدَّقْنَاهُ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ النَّجَاشِيُّ عَبِيدًا هُمْ لَكُمْ؟ قَالُوا لَا قَالَ فَلَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ دَيْنٌ؟ قَالُوا لَا قَالَ فَخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُمْ فَخَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ فَقَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ يَقُولُونَ فِي عِيسَى غَيْرَ مَا تَقُولُونَ قَالَ إِنْ لَمْ يَقُولُوا فِي عِيسَى مِثْلَ مَا أَقُولُ لَمْ أَدَعْهُمْ فِي أَرْضِي سَاعَةً مِنْ نَهَارٍ قَالَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْنَا فَكَانَتِ الدَّعْوَةُ الثَّانِيَةُ أَشَدَّ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْأُولَى فَقَالَ مَا يَقُولُ صَاحِبُكُمْ فِي عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ؟ فَقُلْنَا هُوَ يَقُولُ هُوَ رُوحُ اللهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلَى الْعَذْرَاءِ الْبَتُولِ قَالَ فَأَرْسَلَ فَقَالَ ادْعُوا فُلَانًا الْقَسَّ وَفُلَانًا الرَّاهِبَ فَأَتَاهُ نَاسٌ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ مَا تَقُولُونَ فِي عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ؟ فَقَالُوا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُنَا فَمَا تَقُولُ؟ قَالَ النَّجَاشِيُّ فَأَخَذَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا عِيسَى مَا زَادَ عَلَى مَا قَالَ هَؤُلَاءِ مِثْلَ هَذَا ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَيُؤْذِيكمْ أَحَدٌ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ فَأَمَرَ مُنَادِيًا فَنَادَى مَنْ آذَى أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرِمُوهُ أَرْبَعَةَ دَرَاهِمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَكْفِيكُمْ؟ فَقُلْنَا لَا فَأَضْعَفَها فَلَمَّا هَاجَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَظَهَرَ بِهَا قُلْنَا لَهُ إِنَّ صَاحِبَنَا قَدْ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَظَهَرَ بِهَا وَهَاجَرَ وَقَتَلَ الَّذِينَ كُنَّا حَدَّثْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ وَقَدْ أَرَدْنَا الرَّحِيلَ إِلَيْهِ فَزَوِّدْنَا قَالَ نَعَمْ فَحَمَّلَنَا وَزَوَّدَنَا وأَعْطَانا ثُمَّ قَالَ أَخْبِرْ صَاحِبَكَ مَا صَنَعْتُ إِلَيْكُمْ وَهَذَا رَسُولِي مَعَكَ وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ فَقُلْ لَهُ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لِي قَالَ جَعْفَرٌ فَخَرَجْنَا حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ فَتَلَقَّانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَاعْتَنَقَنِي فَقَالَ «مَا أَدْرِي أَنَا بِفَتْحِ خَيْبَرَ أَفْرَحُ أَوْ بِقُدُومِ جَعْفَرٍ» ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ النَّجَاشِيِّ فَقَالَ هُوَ ذَا جَعْفَرٌ فَسَلْهُ مَا صَنَعَ بِهِ صَاحِبُنَا فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَدْ فَعَلَ بِنَا كَذَا وَحَمَّلَنَا وَزَوَّدَنَا ونَصَرَنَا وَشَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ وَقَالَ قُلْ لَهُ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لِي فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ دَعَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ «اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلنَّجَاشِيِّ» فَقَالَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ آمِينَ قَالَ جَعْفَرٌ فَقُلْتُ لِلرَّسُولِ انْطَلِقْ فَأَخْبِرْ صَاحِبَكَ مَا رَأَيْتَ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ آدَمَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us to the Negus, and there were eighty of us, and among us was Ja'far ibn Abi Talib. He mentioned the story of their entrance to the Negus and at the end, he said: Then Ibn Mas'ud came forward and bore witness to the Battle of Badr.  

بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ وَنَحْنُ ثَمَانُونَ رَجُلًا وَمَعَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي دُخُولِهِمْ عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ وَفِي آخِرِهِ قَالَ فَجَاءَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَبَادَرَ فَشَهِدَ بَدْرًا  

[Machine] Al-Najashi presented two black socks to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . He wore them and wiped over them while reciting the narration of Abu Nuaim. And in the narration of Ubaidullah, it is mentioned that Al-Najashi presented two black socks to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . He then performed ablution and wiped over them.  

أَهْدَى النَّجَاشِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ خُفَّيْنِ سَاذَجَيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ فَلَبِسَهُمَا وَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ وَفِي حَدِيثِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ أَنَّ النَّجَاشِيَّ أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ خُفَّيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ سَاذَجَيْنِ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا  

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ prayed for the Najashi and I was in the second or third row.  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺصَلَّى عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ وَكُنْتُ فِي الصَّفِّ الثَّانِي أَوِ الثَّالِثِ  

"سَادَةُ السُّودَان أَرْبَعَةٌ: لُقْمَانُ الْحَبَشىُّ، والنجَّاشِىُّ، وَبِلَال، ومَهْجعٌ".  

"خَيْرُ السُّودَان أَرْبَعَة: لُقْمَانُ، وَبِلَالٌ، وَالنَّجَاشِىُّ، وَمِهْجَعٌ".  

"كَذَبَ قال مَنْ ذَاكَ، لَكُمْ هِجْرَتانِ، هَاجَرْتُمْ إِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ وَهَاجَرْتُمْ إلَيَّ".  

"عن سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلنَّجَاشِى".
