“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade making Nabidh in (earthenware) jars.”  

ابن ماجة:٣٤٠٨حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْخَطْمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُنْبَذَ فِي الْجِرَارِ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُنْبَذَ فِي الْمُزَفَّتِ وَالْقَرْعِ  

malik:42-8Mālik > al-ʿAlāʾ b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Yaʿqūb from his father > Abū Hurayrah

Yahya related to me from Malik from al-Ala ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Yaqub from his father from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade preparing nabidh in a gourd or in a jug smeared with pitch.  

مالك:٤٢-٨وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ
