A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said to him, "My sister vowed to perform the Hajj, but she died (before fulfilling it)." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Would you not have paid her debts if she had any?" The man said, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ said, "So pay Allah's Rights, as He is more entitled to receive His rights."  

أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهُ إِنَّ أُخْتِي نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَحُجَّ وَإِنَّهَا مَاتَتْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَيْهَا دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَاقْضِ اللَّهَ فَهْوَ أَحَقُّ بِالْقَضَاءِ  

A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "My mother vowed to perform the Hajj but she died before performing it. Should I perform the Hajj on her behalf?" He said, "Yes! Perform the Hajj on her behalf. See, if your mother had been in debt, would you have paid her debt?" She said, "Yes." He said, "So you should pay what is for Him as Allah has more right that one should fulfill one's obligations to Him. "  

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً جَاءَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ أُمِّي نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَحُجَّ فَمَاتَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَحُجَّ أَفَأَحُجَّ عَنْهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ حُجِّي عَنْهَا أَرَأَيْتِ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّكِ دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتِ قَاضِيَتَهُ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ فَاقْضُوا الَّذِي لَهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ أَحَقُّ بِالْوَفَاءِ  

a woman vowed to perform Hajj but she died. Her brother came to the Prophet and asked him about that, he said: 'Do yhou think that if your sister owed a debt you wouold pay it off?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Then fulfill the right of Allah, for He is more deserving that His rights should be fulfilled.'''  

أَنْ تَحُجَّ فَمَاتَتْ فَأَتَى أَخُوهَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أُخْتِكَ دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَاقْضُوا اللَّهَ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِالْوَفَاءِ  

[Machine] "A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'My sister made a vow to perform Hajj but she passed away. Should I fulfill it on her behalf?' The Prophet ﷺ asked, 'If she had a debt, would you pay it off?' The man said, 'Yes.' The Prophet ﷺ replied, 'Then fulfilling obligations to Allah is even more deserving.'"  

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أُخْتِي نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَحُجَّ وَقَدْ مَاتَتْ؟ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَيْهَا دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتَ تَقْضِيهِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَاللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَحَقُّ بِالْوَفَاءِ  

a woman vowed to perform Hajj but she died. Her brother came to the Prophet and asked him about that, he said: 'Do yhou think that if your sister owed a debt you wouold pay it off?' He said: 'Yes.' أَنْ تَحُجَّ فَمَاتَتْ فَأَتَى أَخُوهَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أُخْتِكَ دَيْنٌأَكُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَاقْضُوا اللهَ ﷻ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِالْوَفَاءِ  

[Machine] When she died, her brother went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him about it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "If she had a debt, would you not be responsible for it?" He replied, "Yes." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So fulfill the rights of Allah, as Allah is more deserving of fulfillment." He said, "So he fasted on her behalf."  

أَنْ تَصُومَ فَمَاتَتْ فَجَاءَ أَخُوهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَوْ كَانَ عَلَيْهَا دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَاقْضُوا اللَّهَ اللَّهُ أَحَقُّ بِالْوَفَاءِ» قَالَ فَصَامَ عَنْهَا  

[Machine] "To perform the Hajj and then die, and her brother came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him about it, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'If she had any debts, would you have been her judge?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Then fulfill the obligations on behalf of Allah, for Allah is more entitled to fulfill the obligations.'"

أَنْ تَحُجَّ فَمَاتَتْ فَأَتَى أَخُوهَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ «أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أُخْتِكَ دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَاقْضُوا اللهَ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِالْوَفَاءِ»  

[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said to him, "Indeed, my sister made a vow to perform Hajj but she passed away." The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "What if she had a debt, would you not fulfill it for her?" He replied, "Yes, I would." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "So fulfill Allah's right, for He is the most deserving of fulfilling."  

أَتَى رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهُ إِنَّ أُخْتِي نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَحُجَّ وَإِنَّهَا مَاتَتْ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَيْهَا دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَاقْضُوا اللهَ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِالْوَفَاءِ  

A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "My mother vowed to perform the Hajj but she died before performing it. Should I perform the Hajj on her behalf?" He said, "Yes! Perform the Hajj on her behalf. See, if your mother had been in debt, would you have paid her debt?" She said, "Yes."
