[Machine] About Urwah, "Regarding the naming of the one who was martyred on the day of Uhud from the Ansar, it is Refa'ah bin Aws bin Za'oor bin Abdul Ashhal."
[Machine] "This verse was revealed in a group of ten, and I am one of them." "And We certainly conveyed to them the message" until the end of the verse.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said one day, "Ask me about whatever you want." A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who is my father?" He replied, "Your father is so-and-so, the one you are called after." Another man asked him, "Am I in Paradise?" He replied, "Yes, you are in Paradise." Then another man asked him, "Am I in Paradise?" He replied, "You are in the Fire." Upon hearing this, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said, "We are content with Allah as our Lord."
[Machine] A man from the tribe of Layth came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I ask you (to listen to) something (poetry) and recite it three times, and then you will recite it for the fourth time and praise me." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If anyone among the poets is good, you have excelled."
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Praise and glorify the possessor of majesty and honor."
[Machine] About Urwa: "Regarding the naming of the person who was martyred on the day of Uhud from among the Muslims and then from the Quraysh, it was Rubayyah ibn Aktham, an ally of the Banu 'Abd Shams of the Banu Asad."
[Machine] Rabi'ah ibn Ruwah al-Ansi came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and found him having dinner, so he invited him to join for dinner. Rabi'ah ate and then the Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Do you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger?" Rabi'ah replied, "I testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Are you a traveler or a resident?" Rabi'ah said, "As for traveling, by Allah, I am not in your control. But as for being a resident, I am in a land where your armies and horses cannot reach us. However, I was afraid, so I became Muslim when I was told to be safe." The Prophet ﷺ said, "May Allah bless a preacher from the people of Ansi." Then he kept conversing with the Prophet ﷺ for a while and then bid him farewell. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him, "If you feel secure, go to the people of the town." So he went and when he arrived, he felt secure and died there.
[Machine] Rabi'a bin Umaya bin Khalaf al-Jumahi was the one who shouted on the day of Arafah under the camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Shout." And he shouted loudly, "O people, do you know what month this is?" They said, "Yes, it is the sacred month." He said, "Verily, Allah has made your blood and your wealth sacred to you until you meet your Lord, just as the sanctity of this month of yours." Then he said, "Shout, do you know what city this is?" And he shouted, "Yes, it is the sacred city." He said, "Verily, your blood and your wealth are forbidden to you until the day you meet your Lord, just as the sanctity of your city." Then he said, "Shout, what day is this?" And he shouted, "Yes, this is a sacred day, and it is the Day of the Great Hajj (pilgrimage)." He said, "Indeed, Allah has made your blood and your wealth sacred to you until the day you meet Him, just as the sanctity of this day of yours."
[Machine] About Ibn Shihab: "In the naming of those who participated in the Battle of Badr from the Ansar, then from the Banu Auf bin Al-Khazraj, and then from the Banu Bilhulbly, Rabee'ah bin Iyas."
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited the son of his paternal cousin Jabir al-Ansari and his family began to cry for him. Jabir said to them, "Do not distress the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Let them cry for him as long as he is alive, but when he is washed and shrouded, they should remain silent." Some of them said, "We never thought that your death would occur on your bed until you are killed in the path of Allah with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Is martyrdom only attained by being killed in the path of Allah? Verily, the martyrs of my ummah (Muslim nation) are few. Indeed, being stabbed or dying from the plague is martyrdom, and a pregnant woman dies with her child, that is martyrdom. Burning, drowning, collapse of a building, and death due to a side effect, all of them are martyrdom."

[Machine] That he heard Rabee'ah ibn Ziyad say: While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was walking, he saw a young man from the Quraysh walking alone, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "Is that not so and so?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Call him." So he came and the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Why have you separated from the group?" He said, "I hated the dust." He (the Prophet) said, "So do not separate from it, by the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, it is a part of Paradise."

[Machine] He said: We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and people started seeking permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he granted them permission. He then said, "What is wrong with the branch of the tree that follows the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? Why do you dislike it more than the other branch?" He said, "You only see people crying in the community." Abu Bakr said, "Indeed, the one who seeks permission from you concerning me afterwards is a foolish person." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up, praised Allah, and glorified Him. He then said, "I bear witness before Allah, and whenever I used to swear, I would say, 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, none of you truly believes until he follows me, and my Lord has promised me that seventy thousand individuals from my Ummah will enter Paradise without being held accountable or punished. And I hope that neither you nor those who are righteous among your wives and children will enter Paradise until you occupy dwellings in Paradise."

He said: 'You do not see anyone among the people except one who weeps.' Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه said: 'Indeed the one who seeks permission from you regarding myself after that is foolish.' After that, there was not a single person among them except that he wept. A man from them said, 'O Messenger of Allah, the one who seeks permission from you after this is foolish.' So he praised Allah and spoke good words, then he said, 'I bear witness before Allah that no servant who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah will die unless he is sincere from his heart, then he will be guided to Paradise by it. And indeed, my Lord has promised me that seventy thousand of my Ummah (nation) will enter Paradise without being held accountable or punished.
[Machine] Rifa'ah ibn Zaid Al-Judhami came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the peace treaty of Hudaibiyah. He presented a young boy to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and embraced Islam. His acceptance of Islam was praised and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote a letter for him to his people, saying, "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is a letter from Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, to Rifa'ah ibn Zaid. I have sent him to his people, inviting them to Allah and His Messenger. Whoever accepts his invitation will be in the party of Allah and His Messenger, and whoever refuses will be under the protection of Allah for two months." When Rifa'ah returned to his people, they accepted his invitation and embraced Islam.
[Machine] "This verse was revealed regarding ten companions, and I am one of them." "And We have certainly conveyed to them the statement that they might be reminded."
«نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فِي عَشَرَةِ رَهْطٍ أَنَا أَحَدُهُمْ» {وَلَقَدْ وَصَّلْنَا لَهُمُ الْقَوْلَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ}
11.70 [Machine] Rabi'ah son of Al-Harith son of Abdul-Muttalib son of Hashim, also known as Abu Arwa. His mother and the mother of his brother Abu Sufyan son of Al-Harith are the same person, Azza bint Qays bin Tariq from the offspring of Al-Harith bin Fehr. She passed away in the twenty-third year. Nofal son of Al-Harith, also known as Abu Al-Harith, passed away in Al-Madinah in the fifteenth year. He is the brother of their father and mother. All of them are siblings of Rabi'ah, Abu Sufyan, and Nofal.
AbdulMuttalib ibn Rabi'ah ibn al-Harith said that his father, Rabi'ah ibn al-Harith, and Abbas ibn al-Muttalib said to AbdulMuttalib ibn Rabi'ah and al-Fadl ibn Abbas: Go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and tell him: Messenger of Allah, we are now of age as you see, and we wish to marry. Messenger of Allah, you are the kindest of the people and the most skilled in matchmaking. Our fathers have nothing with which to pay our dower. So appoint us collector of sadaqah (zakat), Messenger of Allah, and we shall give you what the other collectors give you, and we shall have the benefit accruing from it. Ali came to us while we were in this condition. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: No, I swear by Allah, he will not appoint any of you collector of sadaqah (zakat). Rabi'ah said to him: This is your condition; you have gained your relationship with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ by marriage, but we did not grudge you that. Ali then put his cloak on the earth and lay on it. He then said: I am the father of Hasan, the chief. I swear by Allah, I shall not leave this place until your sons come with a reply (to the question) for which you have sent them to the Prophet ﷺ. AbdulMuttalib said: So I and al-Fadl went towards the door of the apartment of the Prophet ﷺ. We found that the noon prayer in congregation had already started. So we prayed along with the people. I and al-Fadl then hastened towards the door of the apartment of the Prophet ﷺ. He was (staying) with Zaynab, daughter of Jahsh, that day. We stood until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came. He caught my ear and the ear of al-Fadl. He then said: Reveal what you conceal in your hearts. He then entered and permitted me and al-Fadl (to enter). So we entered and for a little while we asked each other to talk. I then talked to him, or al-Fadl talked to him (the narrator, Abdullah was not sure). He said: He spoke to him concerning the matter about which our fathers ordered us to ask him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent for a moment and raised his eyes towards the ceiling of the room. He took so long that we thought he would not give any reply to us. Meanwhile we saw that Zaynab was signalling to us with her hand from behind the veil, asking us not to be in a hurry, and that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was (thinking) about our matter. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then lowered his head and said to us: This sadaqah (zakat) is a dirt of the people. It is legal neither for Muhammad nor for the family of Muhammad. Call Nawfal ibn al-Harith to me. So Nawfal ibn al-Harith was called to him. He said: Nawfal, marry AbdulMuttalib (to your daughter). So Nawfal married me (to his daughter). The Prophet ﷺ then said: Call Mahmiyyah ibn Jaz'i to me. He was a man of Banu Zubayd, whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had appointed collector of the fifths. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Mahmiyyah: Marry al-Fadl (to your daughter). So he married him to her. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Stand up and pay the dower from the fifth so-and-so on their behalf. Abdullah ibn al-Harith did not name it (i.e. the amount of the dower). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2985)

[Machine] I used to sleep in the Prophet's room ﷺ and I would hear him when he would wake up at night to pray, saying: "Alhamdulillah Rabbil 'Alameen" quietly, then he would say: "Subhanallah Rabbi al-'Azeem wa bihamdih" quietly. I asked, "What is quietly?" He said, "He makes supplication for a period of time."

[Machine] I used to spend the night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I would bring him water for ablution and fulfill his needs. He would stand during the night and say, "Glory be to my Lord and His praise, glory be to my Lord and His praise," repeatedly. Then he would say, "Glory be to the Lord of all worlds, glory be to the Lord of all worlds," repeatedly. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Do you have any need?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I want to be your companion in Paradise." He said, "Then help me by prostrating frequently."

[Machine] I stayed at the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I used to hear him recite "Al-hamdu lillahi Rabbil 'aalameen" (All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds) during the night. And I used to hear him recite "Subhan Rabbi wa bihamdihi" (Glory be to my Lord and praise to Him) during the night.
“Subhan Allahi Rabbil-‘alamin (Glory is to Allah, the Lord of the worlds),” repeating that for a while, then he said: Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi (Glory and praise is to Allah).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3879)
[Machine] I used to stay at the house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I would hear him saying the following during the night: "Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds." Then he would say, "Glory be to my Lord and praise Him."

[Machine] He informed him that he heard Rabia Bin Ka'b saying, "I used to sit by the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I heard him say when he got up at night, 'Glory be to the Lord of the worlds'. Then he said, 'Glory be to my Lord and praise be to Him'."

[Machine] I used to serve the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the day, and when night fell, I would go to the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and stay there. I would continuously hear him saying, "Subhan Allah, Subhan Rabbi (Glory be to Allah, Glory be to my Lord)." until my eyes closed and I fell asleep. One day he said, "O Rabi'ah, ask me for something, and I will give it to you." I said, "Wait for me until I look and remember that this worldly life is temporary and will come to an end." So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I ask you to pray to Allah to protect me from the Fire and to admit me to Paradise." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent for a while and then said, "Who asked you to ask for this?" I said, "No one asked me, but I knew that this worldly life is temporary and will come to an end, and you are with Allah in the position that you are in, so I thought it best to ask you to pray to Allah." He said, "Indeed, I will do so, but help me by performing a lot of prostrations."

[Machine] I served the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he gave me land and gave Abu Bakr land. Then the world came and we had a dispute over a date palm. Abu Bakr said, "It is within my boundary." And I said, "It is within my boundary." There was a conversation between Abu Bakr and me. Abu Bakr said a word that I disliked and regretted. He said to me, "O Rabee'ah, respond to me with a similar word until there is justice." I said, "I will not do that." Abu Bakr rejected the land and went to the Prophet ﷺ , and I went to recite the Qur'an. Some Muslims came and said, "May Allah have mercy upon Abu Bakr. In what matter does he confront the Messenger of Allah while it was he who said to you what he said?" I said, "Do you know who this is? This is Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, the second of the two gray-haired Muslims. Do not look at him while you abandon me, supporting him, so he gets angry and comes to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and then Allah becomes angry with both of them and punishes Rabee'ah." They said, "What should we do?" He said, "Go back." Abu Bakr went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I followed him alone, reciting until he came to the Prophet ﷺ and narrated to him the incident as it happened before. The Prophet ﷺ then raised his head towards me and said, "O Rabee'ah, what is your problem with As-Siddiq?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, he said this and that." He said to me, "You hated his word. Say to him what you said, until there is justice." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, do not respond with the same word to him, but say, 'May Allah forgive you, O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you, O Abu Bakr!'" Abu Bakr turned away, and mercy from Allah upon him, while he was crying.

[Machine] I used to serve the Prophet ﷺ , and one day he said, "O Rabiah, don't you get married?" So, I said, "By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I prefer serving you." He repeated this to me another time, and I said the same thing. Then, I said, "By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, you know better what is good for me than I do. If you tell me to get married again, I will say yes, O Messenger of Allah." He then said to me, "O Rabiah, don't you get married?" I said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said to me, "Go to so-and-so, the man from the Ansar, and let them marry you to his daughter, Fulanah." So, I went to them and said, "Verily, the Messenger of Allah has commanded you to marry me." They welcomed the Messenger of Allah and said, "The Messenger of Allah does not ask for anything except out of need." They married me without asking for any proof. Then, I went to the Messenger of Allah while feeling sad, and he said to me, "What is the matter, O Rabiah?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I went to a noble people and they welcomed me and said, 'You are a good man,' but I do not have any wealth to give as dowry." The Messenger of Allah said, "Collect for him the weight of a date-pit in gold." They collected for me the weight of two date-pits in gold, and I brought it to them. They accepted it and said, "It is a lot and good." Then, I went to the Messenger of Allah while feeling sad, and he said, "What is the matter, O Rabiah?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I went to a noble people and they welcomed me and said, 'You are a good man,' but I have no wealth to give as a gift." He said, "Collect for him the price of a sheep." They collected for me the price of a sheep, and the Messenger of Allah sent it to my family. They brought a large basket full of barley, and I brought it to them. They said, "The sheep is for us, and the barley is for you." So, they did that, and I attended the Messenger of Allah and his companions in the morning. [End of passage]

[Machine] About his father, in the naming of those who witnessed with Ali, from the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , it is Rabīʿah ibn Qays, and he was from the tribe of ʿUdwān.
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the time of ignorance in the market of Thul-Majaz, and he was saying, "O people, say, 'There is no God but Allah' and you will prosper." He kept repeating it multiple times while the people gathered around him and followed him. And there was a man walking behind him, having a thinner face and brighter complexion, saying, "He is a liar, a deity worshiper, twice." So, I asked who this was, and they said, "This is his uncle, Abu Lahab."

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ walking among the people in Mina in their homes before he migrated to Medina, saying, "O people, indeed Allah commands you to worship Him alone and not associate anything with Him." Behind him was a man who said, "O people, indeed this man commands you to abandon the religion of your fathers." So I asked who this man was and they said, "His uncle, Abu Lahab."

Behind him, there was a man who had light skin and two braids of hair, saying, "O people, this man orders you to abandon the religion of your fathers." So, I asked about him and it was said, "This is his uncle, Abu Lahab."

[Machine] Indeed, I witnessed alongside my father a young man who was looking at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who was leading the tribes, and behind him was a man who looked older and had a radiant face with a prominent lock of hair standing behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood in front of the tribe and said, "O sons of so-and-so, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to you, I command you to worship Allah alone and not associate anything with Him, and that you believe in me and support me until I fulfill what Allah has sent me with." When he finished his speech, the man behind him said, "O sons of so-and-so, he wants you to abandon your idols, such as Al-Lat and Al-Uzza, and your allies from the people of Bani Malik bin Uqaysh, and to abandon the innovations and misguidance that he has brought. So do not listen to him or follow him." So I asked my father, "Who is this?" He said, "This is his paternal uncle, Abu Lahab."

[Machine] He heard Rabīʿah al-Jurashī say: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If someone is invited and told: "Let your eyes sleep, let your ears hear, and let your heart understand," then he should sleep with his eyes, hear with his ears, and understand with his heart.'" It was then said to him, 'O Master, a wealthy man built a house and prepared a banquet, so he sent out an invitee. Whoever answered the invitee entered the house and ate from the banquet, and the master was pleased with him. But whoever did not answer the invitee did not enter the house, nor did he attain the banquet, and the master was displeased with him.' So the Master is Allah, the inviter is Muhammad ﷺ , and the banquet is Paradise."
