[Machine] He said, "We followed the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , until we reached Al-Kadeed. They sought permission from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , to go to their families, so he gave them permission. He then said, 'What is wrong with the branch of the tree that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , has followed, which is more disliked by you than the other branch?' After that, no one from the group was seen except crying. A man from the group said, 'O Messenger of Allah, the one who seeks permission from you after this is foolish.' He praised Allah and spoke good words, then he said, 'I bear witness before Allah that no servant who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, sincerely from his heart, will die except that he will be admitted to Paradise, and indeed my Lord has promised me that seventy thousand from my Ummah will enter Paradise without being held accountable or punished, and I hope that you will not enter until you and whomever among your spouses and children are righteous take up dwellings in Paradise.'"

[Machine] We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until we reached al-Kadid, or he said al-Qudaid, where some of us requested permission from their families and were granted it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then stood up, praised and glorified Allah, and said, "Why is it that the men who cut down the tree by which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is seated are more disliked by them than the other men? We only saw at that moment some of the people weeping." A man then said, "Indeed, the one who seeks permission from you after this is mad." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ thanked Allah and said, "I bear witness, in the sight of Allah, that no servant who bears witness that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah sincerely from his heart will die until he enters Paradise." He added, "And my Lord has promised me that seventy thousand of my Ummah will enter Paradise without being held accountable or punished. And I hope that you and those among your parents, spouses, and offspring who are righteous will occupy dwellings in Paradise." He also said, "When half or two-thirds of the night has passed, Allah descends to the lowest heaven and says, ‘Is there anyone seeking forgiveness, so that I may forgive him? Is there anyone seeking provision, so that I may provide for him? Is there anyone asking for a favor, so that I may grant it to him?’ This continues until dawn breaks."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then asked, 'Why is it that the branch of the tree that follows the Messenger of Allah is more hateful to you than any other branch?' He said, "You only see people crying in the community." Abu Bakr said, "Indeed, the one who seeks permission from you concerning me afterwards is a foolish person." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up, praised Allah, and glorified Him. He then said, "I bear witness before Allah, and whenever I used to swear, I would say, 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, none of you truly believes until he follows me, and my Lord has promised me that seventy thousand individuals from my Ummah will enter Paradise without being held accountable or punished. And I hope that neither you nor those who are righteous among your wives and children will enter Paradise until you occupy dwellings in Paradise."

Then he said: 'What is the matter with the branch of the tree that is following the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? It is more hateful to you than the other branch?' [Machine] He said, "We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until we reached Al-Kadaid, and they sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to go to their families, and he granted them permission. Then he said, 'What is wrong with the branch of the tree that stands close to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? It is more beloved to you than the other branches.' After that, there was not a single person among them except that he wept. A man from them said, 'O Messenger of Allah, the one who seeks permission from you after this is foolish.' So he praised Allah and spoke good words, then he said, 'I bear witness before Allah that no servant who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah will die unless he is sincere from his heart, then he will be guided to Paradise by it. And indeed, my Lord has promised me that seventy thousand of my Ummah (nation) will enter Paradise without being held accountable or punished. And I hope that you (Muslims) will not enter it until you occupy dwellings in Paradise along with your righteous spouses and offspring.'"
