Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْوِتْرِ مِنَ الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to practice Iʿtikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan and used to say, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُجَاوِرُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ وَيَقُولُ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

(the wife of the Prophet) The Prophet ﷺ used to practice Iʿtikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan till he died and then his wives used to practice Iʿtikaf after him.

زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى تَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اعْتَكَفَ أَزْوَاجُهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

Seek Lailat-ul-Qadr in the last week (of Ramadan).

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ

Seek the time of Lailat-ul-Qadr in the last (ten nights), or he said: in the last nine (nights).

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَحَيَّنُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ أَوْ قَالَ فِي التِّسْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ

Look for (and in the words of Waki, seek) Lailat-ul-Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ الْتَمِسُوا وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Abdullah (Allah be pleased with him) showed me the place in the mosque where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe i'tikaf.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ قَالَ نَافِعٌ وَقَدْ أَرَانِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ؓ الْمَكَانَ الَّذِي كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

This hadith has been narrated by 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) through another chain of transmitters.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) used to observe i'tikif in the last ten days of Ramadan till Allah called him back (to his heavenly home). Then his wives observed i'tikaf after him.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى تَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ ﷻ ثُمَّ اعْتَكَفَ أَزْوَاجُهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Seek lailat al-qadr in the last seven days.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ

The Prophet ﷺ used to observe retirement (i'tikaf) to the mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan till Allah took him, and then his wives observed retirement to the mosque after his death.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اعْتَكَفَ أَزْوَاجُهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

"The Prophet would perform I'tikaf during the last ten (days) of Ramadan until Allah took him."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللَّهُ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ وَأَبِي لَيْلَى وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ

"The Prophet would awaken his family during the last ten (nights) of Ramadan."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوقِظُ أَهْلَهُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to spend the last ten days of Ramadan in I’tikaf. Nafi' said: " Abdullah bin 'Umar showed me the place where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe I'tikaf."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ قَالَ نَافِعٌ وَقَدْ أَرَانِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْمَكَانَ الَّذِي كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Seek lailat al-qadr in the last seven days. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1385)

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»

The Prophet ﷺ used to wake up his family during the last ten (nights) of Ramadan,

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُوقِظُ أَهْلَهُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

It was narrated from ‘Ali ؓ that the Prophet ﷺ used to wake his family up during the last ten (nights of Ramadan).

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوقِظُ أَهْلَهُ فِي الْعَشْرِ

It was narrated from ‘Ali ؓ that The Prophet ﷺ used to wake up his family during the last ten nights of Ramadan.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوقِظُ أَهْلَهُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

“Seek Lailatul-Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan, and if you miss anything, make sure you do not miss the last seven nights.ʿ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِالْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَإِنْ غُلِبْتُمْ فَلا تُغْلَبُوا عَلَى السَّبْعِ الْبَوَاقِي

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake his family up during the last ten nights of Ramadan and tie up his izar.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوقِظُ أَهْلَهُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ وَيَرْفَعُ الْمِئْزَرَ

It was narrated from ‘Ali ؓ that The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up his family during the last ten nights of Ramadan.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُوقِظُ أَهْلَهُ فِي الْعَشْرِ

It was narrated from ‘Ali ؓ that The Prophet ﷺ used to wake his family during the last ten nights of Ramadan.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوقِظُ أَهْلَهُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek out Laylat al-Qadr on the last seven nights of the month of Ramadan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Seek lailat al-qadr in the last seven days. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1385)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] Abdullah ibn Umar used to say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe Itikaf during the last ten nights of Ramadan.

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe I'tikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan until Allah took him.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللهُ ﷻ

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Seek Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) in the last ten nights [of Ramadan]."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Seek out the Night of Decree in the last ten nights of Ramadan."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had ten days left of Ramadan, he would tighten his waist cloth and seclude himself from his family."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا بَقِيَ عَشْرٌ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ شَدَّ مِئْزَرَهُ وَاعْتَزَلَ أَهْلَهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Decree) in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْوَتْرِ مِنَ الْعَشْرِ

The Prophet ﷺ used to observe retirement (i'tikaf) to the mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan till Allah took him, and then his wives observed retirement to the mosque after his death. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2462)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى تَوَفَّاهُ اللهُ ثُمَّ اعْتَكَفَ أَزْوَاجُهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

[AI] "Aisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , reported that the Prophet ﷺ used to observe Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan until Allah took him."

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُمَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى تَوَفَّاهُ اللهُ ﷻ

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ used to observe Itikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan, and he continued to do so until death ﷺ.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَزَلْ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى تَوَفَّاهُ الْمَوْتُ ﷺ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) during the last ten nights of Ramadan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَحَرُّوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to observe the last ten nights of Ramadan in seclusion until Allah ﷻ took him.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللهُ ﷻ

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. (Using translation from Muslim 1171a)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Ziyad related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Search for Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten days of Ramadan."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Ziyad related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. "Search for Laylat al-Qadr in the last seven days."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ

[AI] "When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ entered the last ten nights of Ramadan, he used to wake up his family, tighten his waist belt, and stay up all night in worship."

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْعَشْرُ الْأَوَاخِرُ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ أَيْقَظَ أَهْلَهُ وَشَدَّ الْمِئْزَرَ وَأَحْيَا اللَّيْلَ»

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. (Using translation from Muslim 1171a)

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَسَافَرَ وَلَمْ يَعْتَكِفْ فَلَمَّا كَانَ مِنَ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا»

The Prophet ﷺ used to observe retirement (i'tikaf) to the mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan till Allah took him, and then his wives observed retirement to the mosque after his death. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2462)

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللَّهُ»

[AI] He heard Ibn Umar saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) and he said, "Seek it in the last seven nights of Ramadan."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ «تَحَرُّوهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ»

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Seek Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Decree) in the last ten nights of Ramadan.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Seek the Night of Decree in the last ten nights (of Ramadan)."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights (of Ramadan)."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Observing Iʿtikāf (seclusion for worship) for ten days in Ramadan is like performing two Hajj pilgrimages and two Umrah pilgrimages."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «اعْتِكَافُ عَشْرٍ فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّتَيْنِ وَعُمْرَتَيْنِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed Itikaf in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan in a dome made of palm leaves.

«اعْتَكَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فِي قُبَّةٍ مِنْ خُوصٍ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree) in the last ten nights of Ramadan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw the Night of Decree and I forgot it, so seek it in the last ten nights (of Ramadan)."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «رَأَيْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ وَأُنْسِيتُهَا فَاطْلُبُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»
