Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْوِتْرِ مِنَ الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to practice Iʿtikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan and used to say, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُجَاوِرُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ وَيَقُولُ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to practice Iʿtikaf in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Seek Lailat-ul-Qadr in the last week (of Ramadan).

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ

He who is anxious to seek it (Lailat-ul-Qadr) should seek it in the last ten (nights of Ramadan).

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ مُلْتَمِسَهَا فَلْيَلْتَمِسْهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ

Seek the time of Lailat-ul-Qadr in the last (ten nights), or he said: in the last nine (nights).

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَحَيَّنُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ أَوْ قَالَ فِي التِّسْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ

Look for (and in the words of Waki, seek) Lailat-ul-Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ الْتَمِسُوا وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

This hadith has been narrated by 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) through another chain of transmitters.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Seek lailat al-qadr in the last seven days.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ

from the Prophet ﷺ regarding Laylat al-Qadr, he said, "Laylat al-Qadr is the twenty-seventh night ˹of Ramadan.˺"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ قَالَ: «لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ».

“We observed I’tikaf with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the middle ten days of Ramadan. He said: ‘I have been shown Lailatul-Qadr, then I was caused to forget it, so seek it in the last ten night, on the odd-numbered nights.’”

اعْتَكَفْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْعَشْرَ الأَوْسَطَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أُرِيتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فَأُنْسِيتُهَا فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ فِي الْوَتْرِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Seek lailat al-qadr in the last seven days. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1385)

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»

ʿUmar said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever among you is seeking Lailatul Qadr, let him seek it in the odd-numbered nights of the last ten days of Ramadan.ʿ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مُلْتَمِسًا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِفَلْيَلْتَمِسْهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ وِتْرًا

“Seek Lailatul-Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan, and if you miss anything, make sure you do not miss the last seven nights.ʿ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِالْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَإِنْ غُلِبْتُمْ فَلا تُغْلَبُوا عَلَى السَّبْعِ الْبَوَاقِي

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree) in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِيالْعَشْرِ الْغَوَابِرِ فِي التِّسْعِ الْغَوَابِرِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek out Laylat al-Qadr on the last seven nights of the month of Ramadan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] I heard Ibn Umar saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the Night of Power, and he said: "Seek it in the last seven nights."

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ تَحَرَّوْهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Seek lailat al-qadr in the last seven days. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1385)

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ

[AI] Regarding the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Whoever has been seeking Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power), let him seek it in the last ten nights (of Ramadan)."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ مُلْتَمِسًا فَلْيَلْتَمِسْهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Seek lailat al-qadr in the last seven days. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1385)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] Abdullah ibn Umar used to say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe Itikaf during the last ten nights of Ramadan.

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe I'tikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan until Allah took him.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللهُ ﷻ

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Seek the Night of Qadr (Decree) in the last ten nights of Ramadan, on the odd-numbered nights, remaining nine nights, remaining seven nights, remaining five nights, and remaining three nights.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فِي تِسْعٍ يَبْقَيْنَ وَسَبْعٍ يَبْقَيْنَ وَخَمْسٍ يَبْقَيْنَ وَثَلَاثٍ يَبْقَيْنَ

"For fingers (the Diyah is ) ten (camels) each. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4843)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي الْأَصَابِعِ عَشْرٌ عَشْرٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree) in the last ten nights of Ramadan, on an odd night. Indeed, I saw it but then I forgot it. It is a night of rain and wind, or he said, drizzle and wind."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فِي وَتْرٍ فَإِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُهَا فَنُسِّيتُهَا هِيَ لَيْلَةُ مَطَرٍ وَرِيحٍ أَوْ قَالَ قَطْرٍ وَرِيحٍ

[AI] The translation of the passage "لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ" into English is "The Night of Decree is the night of the twenty-seventh."

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ

[AI] The passage translates to: "The night of Qadr (Night of Power) is a night within the last ten nights of Ramadan, and it is not known specifically which night it falls on."

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ لِثَلَاثٍ يَبْقَيْنَ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the Night of Decree, and he said, "It is in the last ten nights, or in the twenty-fifth, or in the twenty-third."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ هِيَ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ أَوْ فِي الْخَامِسَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek it in the ninth, seventh, and fifth nights, meaning the Night of Decree."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي تَاسِعَةٍ وَسَابِعَةٍ وَخَامِسَةٍ يَعْنِي لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: "The Night of Qadr is on the twenty-fourth night."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةُ أَرْبَعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "There is no odd number of Witr prayers in one night."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا وِتْرَانِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to retreat in seclusion during the last ten nights and would say, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Power) in the last ten nights."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ وَيَقُولُ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ يَعْنِي لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Seek out the Night of Decree in the last ten nights of Ramadan."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Decree) in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْوَتْرِ مِنَ الْعَشْرِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) during the last ten nights of Ramadan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَحَرُّوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to observe the last ten nights of Ramadan in seclusion until Allah ﷻ took him.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللهُ ﷻ

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. (Using translation from Muslim 1171a)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Ziyad related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Search for Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten days of Ramadan."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

Ziyad related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. "Search for Laylat al-Qadr in the last seven days."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "I was shown the Night of Al-Qadr (Decree) but then my family disturbed me and I forgot it, so seek it in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أُرِيتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ ثُمَّ أَيْقَظَنِي أَهْلِي فَنَسِيتُهَا فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْغَوَابِرِ»

The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Lailat al-qadr is the twenty-seventh night (of Ramadan) (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1386)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ»

[AI] He heard Ibn Umar saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) and he said, "Seek it in the last seven nights of Ramadan."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ «تَحَرُّوهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ»

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Seek Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Decree) in the last ten nights of Ramadan.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Seek the Night of Decree in the last ten nights (of Ramadan)."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «اطْلُبُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights (of Ramadan)."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»

[AI] He informed him that he saw the Prophet ﷺ and that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "As for the Night of Qadr, seek it in the last ten odd nights [of Ramadan]."

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَمَّا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ وِتْرًا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascended the pulpit and said, "I saw the Night of Decree, but then I forgot it. Seek it in the last ten odd nights."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَقِيَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَقَالَ «رَقِيتُ وَقَدْ عَلِمْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فَأُنْسِيتُهَا فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فِي وِتْرٍ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said about the Night of Qadr, "It is on the twenty-seventh."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ «سَبْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Seek out the Night of Decree on the twenty-seventh night."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةَ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the Night of Decree. He said, "It is in the last ten nights, on the seventh, or the fifth, or the third."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ «هِيَ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فِي السَّابِعَةِ أَوِ الْخَامِسَةِ أَوِ الثَّالِثَةِ»
