[Machine] The passage translates to: "The age of Abu Bakr, our master, and the emancipated slave of our master means Bilal."  

عُمَرُ «أَبُو بَكْرٍ سَيِّدُنَا وَأَعْتَقَ سَيِّدَنَا» يَعْنِي بِلَالًا  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Bilal, start the morning with dawn, as it is better for you."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا بِلَالُ أَصْبِحُوا بِالصُّبْحِ فَإِنَّهُ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ»  

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , had some dates with me that changed in quality, so I took them to the market and sold them for two saas of dates. When I approached him with the money, he said, "What is this, O Bilal?" I informed him, and he said, "Wait, return the sale, then sell dates with gold, silver, or wheat, and then buy dates with them." Then the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Dates are exchanged for dates, equal in quantity. Wheat is exchanged for wheat, equal in quantity. Gold is exchanged for gold, equal in weight. Silver is exchanged for silver, equal in weight. If the two types differ, then there is no harm, and one is given ten times its value."  

كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدِي تَمْرٌ فَتَغَيَّرَ فَأَخْرَجْتُهُ إِلَى السُّوقِ فَبِعْتُهُ صَاعَيْنِ بِصَاعٍ فَلَمَّا قَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْهُ قَالَ «مَا هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ؟» فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ قَالَ «مَهْلًا ارْدُدِ الْبَيْعَ ثُمَّ بِعْ تَمْرًا بِذَهَبٍ أَوْ فِضَّةٍ أَوْ حِنْطَةٍ ثُمَّ اشْتَرِ بِهِ تَمْرًا» ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «التَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَالْحِنْطَةُ بِالْحِنْطَةِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَالذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفَ النَّوْعَانِ فَلَا بَأْسَ وَاحِدٌ بِعَشَرَةٍ»  

[Machine] "I had some dates, but I wanted to buy better quality dates than them from the market for half of their weight. So, I presented them to the Prophet ﷺ and he said, 'I have not seen better dates than these today. Where did you get these, Bilal?' I told him what I did, and he said, 'Go, return it to its owner and take your dates, then sell them for wheat or barley. Then, buy these dates with it and bring them to me.' So, I did as he instructed. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Dates should be exchanged for dates, wheat for wheat, barley for barley, salt for salt, gold for gold, silver for silver, equal for equal, like for like, and weight for weight. So, any excess is riba (usury).'"  

كَانَ عِنْدِي تَمْرٌ دُونٌ فَابْتَعْتُ بِهِ مِنَ السُّوقِ تَمْرًا أَجْوَدَ مِنْهُ بِنِصْفِ كَيْلِهِ فَقَدَّمْتُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا رَأَيْتُ الْيَوْمَ تَمْرًا أَجْوَدَ مِنْ هَذَا مِنْ أَيْنَ لَكَ هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ؟» قَالَ فَحَدَّثْتُهُ بِمَا صَنَعْتُ قَالَ «انْطَلِقْ فَرُدَّهُ عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ وَخُذْ تَمْرَكَ فَبِعْهُ بِحِنْطَةٍ أَوْ شَعِيرٍ ثُمَّ اشْتَرِ بِهِ هَذَا التَّمْرَ ثُمَّ ائْتِنِي بِهِ» قَالَ فَفَعَلْتُ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «التَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَالْحِنْطَةُ بِالْحِنْطَةِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَالشَّعِيرُ بِالشَّعِيرِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَالْمِلْحُ بِالْمِلْحِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَالذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ فَمَا كَانَ مِنْ فَضْلٍ فَهُوَ رِبًا»  

The Messenger of Allah wiped over his leather socks and his head cover (i.e., over the Imamah). (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 561)   

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْمُوقَيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered upon Bilal, and he had with him a container of dates. The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What is this, O Bilal?" Bilal replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I have kept it for you and your guests." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do you not fear that it may become accountable for a vapor from Hell? Spend it, O Bilal, and do not fear that the Owner of the Throne will decrease it."  

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى بِلَالٍ وَعِنْدَهُ صُبْرٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَقَالَ «مَا هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ؟» قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ذَخَرْتُهُ لَكَ وَلِضِيفَانِكَ قَالَ «أَمَا تَخْشَى أَنْ يفوزَ لَهَا بُخَارٌ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ؟ أَنْفِقْ يَا بِلَالُ وَلَا تَخْشَ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ إِقْلَالًا»  

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , said to me, "O Bilal, die as a poor man and do not die as a rich man." I asked, "How can I do that?" He replied, "Whatever you are given, do not hoard it, and whatever you are asked for, do not withhold it." So I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, how can I do that?" He said, "Either you do that or face the fire of Hell."  

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا بِلَالُ مُتْ فَقِيرًا وَلَا تَمُتْ غَنِيًّا» قُلْتُ وَكَيْفَ بِذَاكَ؟ قَالَ «مَا رُزِقْتَ فَلَا تَخْبَأْ وَمَا سُئِلَتَ فَلَا تَمْنَعْ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ لِي بِذَاكَ؟ فَقَالَ «هُوَ ذَاكَ أَوِ النَّارُ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , entered upon me and I had some dates with me. He asked, "What is this?" I said, "We have set it aside for our winter." He said, "Do you not fear that it will have steam in the Hellfire?"  

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعِنْدِي شَيْءٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَقَالَ «مَا هَذَا؟» فَقُلْتُ ادَّخَرْنَاهُ لِشِتَائِنَا فَقَالَ «أَمَا تَخَافُ أَنْ تَرَى لَهُ بُخَارًا فِي جَهَنَّمَ»  

"The Prophet wiped over the Khuff and the Khimar." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 101)   

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Bilal and found with him a handful of dates. He said, "What is this, O Bilal?" Bilal replied, "It is dates that I have saved." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Woe to you, O Bilal! Are you not afraid that this may have some vapor from the Hellfire? Spend, O Bilal, and do not fear the One who owns the Throne of God, for He is All-Providing."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى بِلَالٍ فَوَجَدَ عِنْدَهُ صُبْرًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَقَالَ «مَا هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ؟» فَقَالَ تَمْرٌ أَدَّخِرُهُ قَالَ «وَيْحَكَ يَا بِلَالُ أَوَمَا تَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ بُخَارٌ فِي النَّارِ؟ أَنْفِقْ يَا بِلَالُ وَلَا تَخْشَ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ إِقْلَالًا»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ returned with Bilal and offered him some dates. He asked, "What is this, O Bilal?" Bilal replied, "I saved it for you, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do you not fear that a smoke will be created for you in the Fire of Hell? Spend, O Bilal, and do not fear the One on the Throne reducing it."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَادَ بِلَالًا فَأَخْرَجَ لَهُ صُبْرًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَقَالَ «مَا هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ؟» قَالَ ادَّخَرْتُهُ لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «أَمَا تَخْشَى أَنْ يُجْعَلَ لَكَ بُخَارٌ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ أَنْفِقْ بِلَالُ وَلَا تَخْشَ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ إِقْلَالًا»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went out to the mosque of Quba and the Ansar came to greet him. I asked Bilal, "How did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ respond to them?" He said, "He would wave his hand in response."  

خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ قُبَاءَ فَجَاءَ الْأَنْصَارُ يُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ لِبِلَالٍ كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ؟ قَالَ «هَكَذَا يُشِيرُ بِيَدِهِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a guest, so he ordered him to bring him food. He brought him dates, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ admired those dates, so he said, "Where did you get these dates from?" He said, "I exchanged a sa' of dates for two sa's." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Give us our dates back." So he returned them.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَهُ ضَيْفٌ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُ بِطَعَامٍ فَأَتَاهُ بِتَمْرٍ فَأَعْجَبَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ ذَلِكَ التَّمْرُ فَقَالَ «مِنْ أَيْنَ لَكَ هَذَا التَّمْرُ؟» فَقَالَ أَبْدَلْتُ صَاعًا بِصَاعَيْنِ فَقَالَ «رُدَّ عَلَيْنَا تَمْرَنَا» فَرَدَّهُ  

[Machine] I heard Ibn Umar saying, "The Prophet ﷺ walked between Osama and Bilal until they entered the Kaaba that had a wooden board in it." When Bilal came out, I asked him what he did. He said, "He left two-thirds of the board to his right and prayed on the remaining one-third." I asked him how many units of prayer he performed, and he said, "I did not ask Bilal about it."  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ «جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَمْشِي بَيْنَ أُسَامَةَ وَبِلَالٍ حَتَّى دَخَلَا الْكَعْبَةَ وَفِيهَا خَشَبَةٌ مُعْتَرِضَةٌ» فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ بِلَالٌ سَأَلْتُهُ كَيْفَ صَنَعَ قَالَ «تَرَكَ مِنَ الْخَشَبَةِ ثُلُثَيْهَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَصَلَّى فِي الثُّلُثِ الْبَاقِي» قُلْتُ كَمْ صَلَّى؟ قَالَ «لَمْ أَسْأَلْ بِلَالًا عَنْهَا»  

[Machine] Concerning the prayer of the Prophet ﷺ in the house, he mentioned to him (the narrator) that he prayed two rak'ahs in the middle of the house. He placed the cylinder on his right side and moved forward slightly while placing the place behind his back.  

عَنْ صَلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْبَيْتِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ «أَنَّهُ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي وَسَطِ الْبَيْتِ وَجَعَلَ الْأُسْطَوَانَةَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَتَقَدَّمَ قَلِيلًا وَجَعَلَ الْمَقَامَ خَلْفَ ظَهْرِهِ»  

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Kaaba and Bilal stood by the door." Ibn Umar said, "So I asked Bilal, 'Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?' He said, 'Yes, he prayed two Rak'ahs in the middle of the Kaaba.'"  

«دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْكَعْبَةَ وَقَامَ بِلَالٌ عَلَى الْبَابِ» قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَسَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا أَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ «رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَسَطَ الْبَيْتِ»  

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ prayed two units (rak'ahs) in it."  

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ»  

[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prayed inside the Kaaba."  

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي جَوْفِ الْكَعْبَةِ»  

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ performed prayer in the house."  

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي الْبَيْتِ»  

[Machine] Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, narrated: "The Prophet ﷺ rode on a camel on the day of the conquest, which belonged to Usama bin Zaid. Usama rode behind the Prophet ﷺ , and with them were Bilal and Uthman bin Talha. They entered a house and stayed there for a long time, closing the door behind them. When the Prophet ﷺ came out, Abdullah bin Umar and another person were waiting outside. Abdullah bin Umar asked Bilal, 'Where did the Prophet ﷺ pray?' Bilal replied, 'I will show you where he prayed.' However, Abdullah bin Umar did not ask him how many times he prayed."  

عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ؓ «أَقْبَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ لِأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَأُسَامَةُ رِدْفُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ بِلَالٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ فَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ وَبِلَالٌ فَمَكَثُوا فِي الْبَيْتِ طَوِيلًا وَأَغْلَقُوا عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَابَ فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَابْتَدَرُوا الْبَابَ» فَسَبَقَهُمْ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَآخَرُ مَعَهُ فَسَأَلَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بِلَالًا فَقَالَ أَيْنَ صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «فَأَرَاهُ حَيْثُ صَلَّى» وَلَمْ يَسْأَلْهُ كَمْ صَلَّى  

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ prayed in the direction of his face in the house, then he stood up and prayed for a while, then he turned away.  

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي الْبَيْتِ قُبَالَ وَجْهِهِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَدَعَا سَاعَةً ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ»  

[Machine] I asked Bilal, "Where did the Prophet ﷺ pray when he entered the Kaaba?" He said, "Between the two pillars."  

سَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا أَيْنَ صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حِينَ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ؟ قَالَ «بَيْنَ السَّارِيَتَيْنِ»  

[Machine] I asked Bilal, "Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?" Meaning, in the house? He said, "Between the two front pillars, he prayed two Rak'ahs."  

قُلْتُ لِبِلَالٍ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ يَعْنِي فِي الْبَيْتِ قَالَ «بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ الْمُقَدَّمَيْنِ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ»  

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived and entered the courtyard of the Kaaba. He then sent for Uthman ibn Talhah, who brought the key, and then the Prophet ﷺ , Bilal, Osama ibn Zaid, and Uthman ibn Talhah entered. When they came out, the people gathered around them, so I asked Bilal, 'Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray inside the house?' He replied, 'Yes, between the two pillars facing its direction.'"  

«قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَنَزَلَ بِفِنَاءِ الْكَعْبَةِ ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ فَجَاءَ بِالْمِفْتَاحِ فَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَبِلَالٌ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ» فَلَمَّا خَرَجُوا ابْتَدَرَهُمُ النَّاسُ فَقُلْتُ لِبِلَالٍ أَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْبَيْتِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ «بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ تِلْقَاءَ وَجْهِهِ»  

[Machine] I asked Bilal, "Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?" He said, "Between the two pillars."  

قُلْتُ لِبِلَالٍ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ»  

‘Abd Allaah bin Umar said “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ entered the Ka’bah and along with him entered Usamah bin Zaid, Uthman bin Talhah Al Hajabi and Bilal. He then closed the door and stayed there. ‘Abd Allah bin ‘Umar said “I asked Bilal when he came out What did the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ do (there)? He replied “He stood with a pillar on his left, two pillars on his right, and three pillars behind him. At that time the House (the Ka’bah) stood on six pillars. He then prayed. ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ هُوَ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ الْحَجَبِيُّ وَبِلَالٌ فَأَغْلَقَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ فَمَكَثَ فِيهَا» قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ فَسَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا حِينَ خَرَجَ مَاذَا صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «جَعَلَ عَمُودًا عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَعَمُودَيْنِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَثَلَاثَةَ أَعْمِدَةٍ وَرَاءَهُ وَكَانَ الْبَيْتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَى سِتَّةِ أَعْمِدَةٍ ثُمَّ صَلَّى»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ rode on the day of the conquest on a camel belonging to Usama ibn Zaid, and Usama rode alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . With them were Bilal and Uthman ibn Talha. When they reached the Kaaba, Uthman ibn Talha was sent for and he brought the key to the Kaaba and opened it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ , along with Usama, Uthman ibn Talha, and Bilal, entered the Kaaba and stayed inside for a long time. The door of the Kaaba was then closed upon them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then came out and the people crowded towards the Kaaba. Abdullah ibn Umar and others were ahead of them. Abdullah ibn Umar asked Bilal, "Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?" Bilal replied, "I saw him pray in that place," without specifying how many prayers he performed.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَقْبَلَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ لِأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَأُسَامَةُ رَدِيفُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ بِلَالٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ الْبَيْتَ أَرْسَلَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ طَلْحَةَ فَجَاءَهُ بِمِفْتَاحِ الْبَيْتِ فَفَتَحَهُ فَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأُسَامَةُ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ وَبِلَالٌ فَمَكَثُوا فِي الْبَيْتِ طَوِيلًا وَأَغْلَقُوا عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَيْتَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَابْتَدَرَ النَّاسُ الْبَيْتَ فَسَبَقَهُمْ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَآخَرُ مَعَهُ فَسَأَلَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بِلَالًا أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ «فَأَرَاهُ بِلَالٌ حَيْثُ صَلَّى» فَلَمْ يَسْأَلْ كَمْ صَلَّى  

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ entered the Kaaba with Bilal, Usama, and Uthman, and the door was pushed shut behind them. I came and sat on the ground and they stayed for a while. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out, I climbed the stairs and entered the house. I asked, 'Where did the Prophet ﷺ pray?' They replied, 'Here.' And I forgot to ask how many units he prayed."  

«دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْكَعْبَةَ وَمَعَهُ بِلَالٌ وَأُسَامَةُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَقَدْ أَجَافَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَابَ» فَجِئْتُ فَقَعَدْتُ بِالْأَرْضِ فَمَكَثُوا فِيهِ مَلِيًّا فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَقِيتُ الدَّرَجَ فَدَخَلْتُ الْبَيْتَ فَقُلْتُ أَيْنَ صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ؟ قَالُوا «هَهُنَا» وَنَسِيتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَ كَمْ صَلَّى  

[Machine] I asked Bilal, "Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray when he entered the house?" He said, "Between these two columns that flank the door."  

سَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ؟ فَقَالَ «بَيْنَ هَذَيْنِ الْعَمُودَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ يَلِيَانِ الْبَابَ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Kaaba, alongside Usama bin Zaid, Bilal, and Uthman bin Talha. He stayed in the house for a while and then came out. Abdullah bin Umar followed in his footsteps and was the first to ask Bilal, "Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?" Bilal replied, "Between the two front pillars." I forgot to ask him how many times he prayed.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَبِلَالٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ فَمَكَثَ فِي الْبَيْتِ فَأَطَالَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَدَخَلَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَلَى أَثَرِهِ أَوَّلَ النَّاسِ فَسَأَلَ بِلَالًا أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ الْمُقَدَّمَيْنِ» وَنَسِيتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ كَمْ صَلَّى  

[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Ka'bah along with Usamah bin Zaid, Uthman bin Talhah, and Bilal. They stayed inside the house for some time, then he came out. Abdullah entered following his footsteps, and asked Bilal, 'Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?' He replied, 'Between the two pillars.'"  

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ هُوَ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ وَبِلَالٌ فَمَكَثَ فِي الْبَيْتِ فَأَطَالَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ» فَدَخَلَ عَبْدُ اللهِ عَلَى أَثَرِهِ أَوَّلَ النَّاسِ فَسَأَلَ بِلَالًا أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَقَالَ «بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ»  

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Ka’bah on the Day of the Conquest (of Makkah), with Bilal and ‘Uthman bin Shaibah, and they locked the door behind them from the inside. When they came out, I asked Bilal: ‘Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?’ He told me that when he entered, he turned to his right and prayed in the direction that he was facing, between the two columns.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3063)  

«دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ الْكَعْبَةَ وَمَعَهُ بِلَالٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ فَأَغْلَقُوا عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ دَاخِلٍ» فَلَمَّا خَرَجُوا سَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ «صَلَّى عَلَى وَجْهِهِ حِينَ دَخَلَ جَعَلَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ» قَالَ «ثُمَّ لُمْتُ نَفْسِي أَنْ لَا أَكُونَ سَأَلْتُهُ كَمْ صَلَّى»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ approached while Usamah was driving the camel, and with him were Bilal and Uthman bin Talhah until they reached the house. The Messenger said to Uthman, "Bring us the key." So he brought the key and opened the door for him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Usamah, Bilal, and Uthman bin Talhah entered and the door was closed behind them. They stayed in the house for a long time and then the people started to enter. I hurried and found Bilal standing behind the people, so I asked, "Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?" He said, "He prayed between the two front pillars, and he made the people stand behind his back while facing the direction you are facing."  

أَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُرْدِفٌ أُسَامَةَ عَلَى الْعَضْبَاءِ وَمَعَهُ بِلَالٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ حَتَّى أَنَاخَ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ فَقَالَ لِعُثْمَانَ «ائْتِنَا بِالْمِفْتَاحِ» فَجَاءَهُ بِالْمِفْتَاحِ فَفَتَحَ لَهُ الْبَابَ فَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأُسَامَةُ وَبِلَالٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ ثُمَّ أَغْلَقُوا عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَيْتَ فَمَكَثُوا فِيهِ طَوِيلًا ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَابْتَدَرَ النَّاسُ الدُّخُولَ فَسَبَقْتُهُمْ فَوَجَدْتُ بِلَالًا قَائِمًا وَرَاءَ النَّاسِ فَقُلْتُ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «صَلَّى بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ الْمُقَدَّمَيْنِ وَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ مِنْ خَلْفِ ظَهْرِهِ وَاسْتَقْبَلَ بِوَجْهِهِ الَّذِي مُسْتِقْبِلُكَ»  

[Machine] "I saw the Prophet ﷺ enter the house with a group of people including Usama bin Zaid, Al-Fadl bin Abbas, Uthman bin Talha, and Bilal. They closed the door, so I stood by the door. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out, Bilal was the first to greet me. I asked, 'Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?' He replied, 'Between the two columns.'"  

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ وَمَعَهُ رَهْطُ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ وَبِلَالٌ فَأَجَافَ الْبَابَ فَقُمْتُ عَلَى الْبَابِ فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَكُنْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنِ اسْتَقْبَلَنِي بِلَالٌ فَقُلْتُ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «بَيْنَ الْأُسْطَوَانَتَيْنِ»  

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ entered the Kaaba, and Usama bin Zaid, Uthman bin Talha, and Bilal were with him, and he stayed there for a while. I was the first person to enter after the footsteps of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so I asked Bilal, 'Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?' He said, 'He performed two Rak'ahs between the two front pillars.'"  

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ وَبِلَالٌ فَمَكَثَ بِهَا فَأَطَالَ» وَكُنْتُ أَوَّلَ النَّاسِ دَخَلَ عَلَى أَثَرَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ لِبِلَالٍ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ الْمُقَدَّمَيْنِ»  

[Machine] I asked Bilal, "Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?" He said, "He prayed two units (rak'ahs) between the pillars."  

سَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ»  

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Kaaba and with him were Usama bin Zaid, Bilal, and Hajib al-Kaaba. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out, I was the first to enter and I found Bilal at the door. I asked him where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray? He replied, 'Between the two front pillars.'"  

«دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْكَعْبَةَ وَمَعَهُ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَبِلَالٌ وَمَعَهُ حَاجِبُ الْكَعْبَةِ» فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُنْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ دَخَلَ فَوَجَدْتُ بِلَالًا عَلَى الْبَابِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ الْمُقَدَّمَيْنِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the house accompanied by Al-Fadl ibn Abbas, Usamah ibn Zaid, Bilal, and Uthman ibn Talhah. He stayed for a while and then left. I hurriedly went to see the people and found myself among the first to enter. I met Bilal and asked him, "Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray?" He replied, "Between the two front pillars." Ibn Umar said, "And I forgot to ask him how many units he prayed."  

دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْبَيْتَ وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَبِلَالٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ فَأَطَالَ الْمُكْثَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَابْتَدَرْتُ النَّاسَ فَكُنْتُ فِي أَوَّلِ مَنْ دَخَلَ فَلَقِيتُ بِلَالًا فَقُلْتُ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «بَيْنَ الْأُسْطَوَانَتَيْنِ الْمُقَدَّمَتَيْنِ» قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ «وَنَسِيتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ كَمْ صَلَّى»  

Did Messenger of Allah ﷺ observe prayer in it? He said: Yes, he observed prayer between these two Yemenite pillars (pillars situated towards the side of Yemen). (Using translation from Muslim 1329f)  

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ هُوَ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَبِلَالٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ فَأَغْلَقُوا عَلَيْهِمْ» فَلَمَّا فَتَحُوا كُنْتُ فِي أَوَّلِ مَنْ وَلَجَ فَلَقِيتُ بِلَالًا فَقُلْتُ لَهُ صَلَّى فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ «صَلَّى بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ»  

[Machine] I heard where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed when he entered the house? Ibn Umar said, "The Prophet ﷺ entered between Usama and Bilal." When they came out, I asked them where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed, and they said, "On his side."  

أَسْمَعُ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ «دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَيْنَ أُسَامَةَ وَبِلَالٍ» فَلَمَّا خَرَجَا سَأَلْتُهُمَا أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَا «عَلَى جِهَتِهِ»  

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ entered the Kaaba, so I quickly went out and met Bilal. I asked him, 'Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray in the house?' He replied, 'Yes, he prayed two Rak'ahs between the Pillars, with the right Pillar on his right side.'"  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ فَانْطَلَقْتُ سَرِيعًا فَلَقِيتُ بِلَالًا فَقُلْتُ أَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْبَيْتِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ «صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَيْنَ الْأُسْطَوَانَتَيْنِ وَجَعَلَ الْأُسْطَوَانَةَ الْيُمْنَى عَنْ يَمِينِهِ»  

[Machine] Muawiyah asked Ibn Umar where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray when he entered the house? Ibn Umar said, "I do not know exactly, but when I would come and he was praying, I would come where he had finished and I asked Bilal who informed me that the Prophet ﷺ prayed between two pillars."  

أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ ؓ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ مَا أَدْرَكْتُهُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي جِئْتُ حَيْثُ فَرَغَ فَسَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا فَأَخْبَرَنِي «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى بَيْنَ عَمُودَيْنِ»  

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ had a boy named Rabah."  

«كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ غُلَامٌ اسْمُهُ رَبَاحٌ»  

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over his leather slippers (when doing wudoo’). (Using translation from Aḥmad 216)   

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْمُوقَيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ»  

The Messenger of Allah wiped over his leather socks and his head cover (i.e., over the Imamah). (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 561)  

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ»  

"The Prophet wiped over the Khuff and the Khimar." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 101)   

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ»  

The Messenger of Allah wiped over his leather socks and his head cover (i.e., over the Imamah). (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 561)   

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْجَوْرَبَيْنِ»  

[Machine] The following passage translates to: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered a house while he and Bilal were carrying something. Bilal went out to them and informed them, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over his socks.'"  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ دَارَ حَمَلٍ هُوَ وَبِلَالٌ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمَا بِلَالٌ فَأَخْبَرَهُمَا «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ»  

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over the socks."  

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ»  

[Machine] I called out in a cold night, but no one came. I called again, but no one came. I called a third time, and the Prophet ﷺ asked, "What happened to them?" I replied, "The cold prevented them." He said, "O Allah, shield them from the cold." Bilal then said, "I bear witness that I saw them moving about in the morning due to the heat."  

أَذَّنْتُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بَارِدَةٍ فَلَمْ يَأْتِ أَحَدٌ ثُمَّ نَادَيْتُ فَلَمْ يَأْتِ أَحَدٌ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَا لَهُمْ؟» فَقُلْتُ مَنَعَهُمُ الْبَرْدُ فَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ احْسُرْ عَنْهُمُ الْبَرْدَ» فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ فَأَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُهُمْ يَتَرَوَّحُونَ فِي الصُّبْحِ مِنَ الْحَرِّ
