Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah, the women rebelled and their behavior towards their husbands worsened since you forbade beating them." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then beat them." The people beat their wives that night, and many women came complaining about being beaten. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the next morning, "Seventy women of the family of Muhammad were visited last night, all of whom were complaining about being beaten. By Allah, you will not find those [men] among the best of you."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah heard about them, so he came to them and sat with them and said, "Do you have anything better to offer than what you have come for?" They asked, "And what is that?" He said, "I am the Messenger of Allah, sent to invite people to worship Him alone and not associate anything with Him, and Allah has revealed to me the Book." Then he explained Islam to them and recited the Quran to them. Iyas ibn Mu'adh, who was still a young boy, said, "By Allah, this is better than what you have come for." Abu Al-Haysar took a handful of dirt from Al-Bathha and hit Iyas in the face with it and said, "Leave us alone. By my oath, we came for something other than this." Iyas remained silent and the Messenger of Allah stood up and left. They went back to Al-Madinah. This incident took place before the Battle of Bu'ath between the Aws and the Khazraj. Iyas ibn Mu'adh did not live long after that. Mahmoud ibn Labid narrated that those who were present with him when he died mentioned that they continued to hear him saying "Allahu Akbar" and praising and glorifying Allah until he died. They had no doubt that he died as a Muslim. It was clear to them that he had embraced Islam during that gathering when he heard what the Messenger of Allah had said.

[Machine] He spoke to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about charity when the delegation from Saba came to him. He said, "O brother of Saba, charity is necessary." He said, "We only planted cotton, O Messenger of Allah, but it has been destroyed. Only a few of us remain in Marib." The Prophet ﷺ reconciled with Abu Al-Hamal bin Hammal, offering him seventy robes of the best quality of Yemeni cloth every year, from the surplus of the blankets provided to the needy. This continued until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away.

Abu Bakr affirmed what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had established until Abu Bakr died, and when Abu Bakr died, that was revoked and became the responsibility of charity.

[Machine] He (Abī Saʿīd) took salt from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that was called Shaddā in Maʾrib and cut it for him. Then Al-Aqraʿ ibn Ḥābis Tamīmī said, "O Messenger of Allah, I used to receive salt during the time of ignorance, and it was in a land, so who should I give it to when I receive it, and it is plentiful like flowing water?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is from you as a charity, and it is like flowing water. So whoever receives it may take it." Abū Saʿīd Al-Khudri gave a piece of land and grass to him from a piece of land in the middle as it was when he divided it. It is mentioned that he also asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the fever of arāk, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no fever in arāk." He then said, "There is arākah in my land." The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no fever in arāk." He finally said, "There is a fruj (a kind of fever) in the portion with the enclosed cultivated area."

Then a man said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, do you know what he cut from it? It is the water that remains after the process of boiling it until it evaporates. So he returned it to him and asked him what is protected from the flies. The Prophet said, "As long as it has not reached the width of camel's hooves."

I came to the Prophet ﷺ, and took the oath of allegiance to him. He said: If anyone reaches a water which has not been approached before by any Muslim, it belongs to him. The people, therefore, went out running and marking (on the land). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3071)
[Machine] "He informed me that his father Al Aswad attended the Prophet's ﷺ gathering for people's allegiance at Qarn Masqalah. Qarn Masqalah is located near the house of Abu Thumama, and it is the area between the house of Ibn 'Amir and the house of Ibn Samura. Al Aswad said, 'I saw the Prophet ﷺ as people, including men, women, young and old, came to give him their pledge of allegiance for Islam and the testimony of faith.' I asked, 'What is the testimony of faith?' Muhammad bin Al Aswad informed me, 'It is the testimony that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.'"

[Machine] "He brought with him two fatty camels to the city during a time of drought and scarcity of crops. When the people of the city saw them, they were amazed by their fatness. I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he sent a messenger to them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then came to see them and looked at them, and said, 'Why did you bring these camels?' He replied, 'I wanted to have a servant with them.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, 'Who among you has a servant?' Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) said, 'I have one, O Messenger of Allah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Bring him.' Uthman brought him, and when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him, he was black. He said, 'I wanted one like him.' Uthman said, 'You can take him.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took his camels and said to the black servant, 'O Aswad, ask me for advice.' He said, 'Can I control my tongue?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, 'Do you have control over your tongue?' He replied, 'How can I control it if I don't have control over myself?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, 'Can you control your hand?' He replied, 'What can I control if I don't have control over myself?'
