The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever takes a (false) oath in order to grab (others) property, then Allah will be angry with him when he will meet Him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالاً لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَهْوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever takes away the right of a Muslim person by his (false) oath, Allah has made the Fire obligatory for him and has forbidden Paradise to him.” A man said to him: “Even if it is something insignificant, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “Even if it is a twig from an arāk tree.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ حَقَّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ فَقَدْ أَوْجَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ النَّارَ وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ»، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَإِنْ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ».

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever seizes the wealth of a Muslim unlawfully by means of his (false) oath, Allah makes the Fire required for him, Paradise unlawful for him." A man said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, even if it is something small?" He said: "Even if it is a twig of an Arak tree."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ وَهُوَ فِيهَا فَاجِرٌ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ

“No man seizes the wealth of a Muslim unlawfully by means of his (false) oath, but Allah will deny Paradise to him and will doom him to Hell.” A man among the people said: “O Messenger of Allah, even if it is something small?” He said: “Even if it is a twig of an Arak tree.”

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever seizes the wealth of a Muslim unlawfully by means of his (false) oath, Allah makes the Fire required for him, Paradise unlawful for him." أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ حَقَّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ فَقَدْ أَوْجَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ النَّارَ وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ» فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «وَإِنْ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever unjustly takes the wealth of a Muslim, he will meet Allah Almighty while He is angry with him."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ لَقِيَ اللهَ ﷻ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever takes a false oath to appropriate the property of a Muslim while he is still engaged in the act of sinning, he will meet Allah, Exalted and Glorious, while He is angry with him." He said, "This verse was revealed: 'Verily, those who purchase a small gain at the cost of the covenant of Allah and their oaths...' (Quran 3:77) until the end of the verse."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينِ صَبْرٍ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ وَهُوَ فِيهَا فَاجِرٌ لَقِيَ اللهَ ﷻ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ قَالَ وَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا} [آل عمران 77] إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever takes a (false) oath in order to grab (others) property, then Allah will be angry with him when he will meet Him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2673)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ رَجُلٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ

“Whoever swears a false oath in order to seize the wealth of a Muslim unlawfully, he will meet Allah when He is angry with him.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2323)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ أَخِيهِ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Whoever swears an oath to obtain the wealth of a Muslim while he is lying, he shall meet Allah while being sinful."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ اقْتَطَعَ حَقَّ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَوْجَبَ لَهُ النَّارَ قَالَ وَا وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا؟ قَالَ وَإِنْ كَانَ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ يَقُولُهَا ثَلَاثًا

Malik related to me from al-Ala ibn Abd ar-Rahman from Mabad ibn Kab as-Salami from his brother Abdullah ibn Kab ibn Malik al-Ansari from Abu Umama that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever cuts off the right of a muslim man by his oath, Allah forbids him the Garden and obliges the Fire for him." They said, "Even if it is something insignificant, Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Even if it is a tooth-stick, even if it is a tooth- stick," repeating it three times.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ حَقَّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَوْجَبَ لَهُ النَّارَ قَالُوا وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَإِنْ كَانَ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ وَإِنْ كَانَ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ وَإِنْ كَانَ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ قَالَهَا ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever takes an oath to unlawfully take someone's wealth, he will meet Allah while He is angry with him."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ رَجُلٍ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ»

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَدْخَلَهُ النَّارَ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا؟ قَالَ «وَإِنْ كَانَ سِوَاكًا وَإِنْ كَانَ سِوَاكًا»

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ it is narrated that he said, 'Whoever takes an oath to confiscate the wealth of a Muslim unjustly, then he will meet Allah while he is sinful and stubborn.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ وَهُوَ فَاجِرٌ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ أَجْذَمُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever takes a false oath in order to illegally seize the wealth of a Muslim, Allah has made Paradise forbidden for him and has made Hellfire obligatory for him." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, even if it is something insignificant?" He replied, "Even if it is a stick from a date palm."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَاجِرَةٍ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَوْجَبَ لَهُ النَّارَ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا؟ قَالَ «وَإِنْ كَانَ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ»

“Whoever swears a false oath in order to seize the wealth of a Muslim unlawfully, he will meet Allah when He is angry with him.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2323)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينِ صَبْرٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ وَهُوَ فِيهَا فَاجِرٌ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ أَجْذَمَ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ إِلَّا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ جَامِعٍ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Whoever swears an oath on a right of forbearance and with it takes the wealth of a Muslim, he will meet Allah with His anger upon him. Allah will forgive him or punish him."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ صَبْرٍ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ ﷻ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ عَفَا عَنْهُ أَوْ عَاقَبَهُ»

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever seizes the wealth of a Muslim unlawfully by means of his (false) oath, Allah makes the Fire required for him, Paradise unlawful for him." A man said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, even if it is something small?" He said: "Even if it is a twig of an Arak tree." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5419)

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ بْنَ ثَعْلَبَةَ يَقُولُ كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ فَقَدْ أَوْجَبَ اللهُ لَهُ النَّارَ وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ وَإِنْ شَيْءٌ يَسِيرٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «وَإِنْ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever unjustly withholds the rights of a Muslim, Allah will forbid Paradise for him and make the Hellfire obligatory for him." Then, a man stood up and asked, "Even if it is something small?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Even if it is a branch from a date palm."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ بِيَمِينِهِ حَقَّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَوْجَبَ لَهُ النَّارَ» فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ وَإِنْ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «وَإِنْ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever unjustly takes the wealth of a Muslim by his right hand, Allah has forbidden Paradise for him." They asked, "Even if it is a small amount, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Even if it is a twig of a miswak tree."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَإِنْ شَيْءٌ يَسِيرٌ؟ قَالَ «وَإِنْ قَضِيبُ أَرَاكٍ»

[AI] The Prophet said, "Whoever swears a false oath in order to unjustly deprive a Muslim of his rights, will meet Allah while He is angry with him."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَحْلِفُ عَلَى يَمِينٍ كَاذِبَةٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا حَقَّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ إِلَّا لَقِيَ اللهَ ﷻ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ»

[AI] Anyone who swears deliberately by a false oath in order to wrongfully take the wealth of a Muslim, then they will meet Allah while He is angry with them.

«منْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ صَبْرٍ مُتَعَمِّدًا فِيهَا لِإِثْمٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever unjustly takes the property of a Muslim, he will meet Allah on the Day of Resurrection while He is angry with him."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ مَالَ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ لَقِيَ اللهَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever takes an oath on a false matter, let him use it to take away the wealth of a Muslim and meet Allah while He is angry with him."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَاجِرَةٍ؛ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you are three, then let someone among you mention something similar to it, and he added to it, 'And whoever swears an oath in order to unjustly take the property of a Muslim, he will meet Allah while He is angry with him.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً» فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ وَزَادَ فِيهِ «وَمَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ»

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Whoever swears an oath on the property of a Muslim, he will meet Allah while He is angry with him.' It was asked, 'Who should abandon it, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Then Paradise belongs to him.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى مَالِ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ» قِيلَ فَمَنْ تَرَكَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever swears an oath to take away the wealth of a Muslim, let him take his seat in the Fire."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»

[AI] "We have the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying: 'Whoever swears an oath on a matter of patience to use it to illegally seize the property of a Muslim while he is lying, then let him take his seat in the fire.'"

لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ صَبْرٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ وَهُوَ فِيهَا كَاذِبٌ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ بِوَجْهِهِ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»

He who appropriated the right of a Muslim by (swearing a false) oath, Allah would make Hell-fire necessary for him and would declare Paradise forbidden for him. A person said to him: Messenger of Allah, even if it is something insignificant? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: (Yes) even if it is the twig of the arak tree. (Using translation from Muslim 137a)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ حَقَّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ فَقَدْ أَوْجَبَ اللهُ لَهُ النَّارَ وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ» فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «وَإِنْ كَانَ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever takes a (false) oath in order to grab (others) property, then Allah will be angry with him when he will meet Him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2673)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ يَحْيَى سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ رَجُلٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ»

"مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِين يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَال امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ وَهُوَ فَاجِرٌ، لَقِيَ اللهَ -تَعَالى- وَهُوَ أَجْذَمُ".

"مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِين صَبْر يَقْتطِعُ بِها مَال امْرِئٍ مُسْلِم هُوَ فِيها فاجِرٌ، لقِي اللهَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُوَ عَليهِ غَضْبَانُ".

"مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِين صَبْر لِيَقْتطِعَ بِها مَال امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَليهِ غَضْبَانُ، عَفا عَنْهُ أَوْ عَاقبَهُ".

"مَنْ حَلفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ لِيَقْتطِعَ بها مَال امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ [يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ] وَهُوَ عَليهِ غضْبَانُ، قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ: وَإِنْ كان شيئًا يَسِيرًا؟ قال: وَإِنْ كان سِوَاكًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ".

"عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ، لَقِيَ الله وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ وَهُو يُزَهِّدُ الأَمْرَ أَوْ يُصَغِّرُهُ: يَا رَسولَ الله وَإِنْ كَانَ سَوِاكًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ؟ قَالَ: وَإِنْ كَانَ سِوَاكًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ".
