[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Establish prayer for the sake of Allah, for there is no obligation upon you except a Prophet or a truthful person or a martyr.' Upon him are the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr and Umar and Uthman and Ali and Talhah and Zubayr and Abdur-Rahman bin Awf and Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas and me."
48.7 [Machine] The Virtues of Ja'far ibn Abi Talib
"None has put on sandals - nor worn them, nor ridden a mount, nor a Kur, after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ - better than Ja'far [bin Abi Talib]." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3764)
Whenever Ibn ʿUmar greeted Ibn Jafar, he used to say: "As-salamu-'Alaika (i.e. Peace be on you) O son of Dhu-l-Janahain (son of the two-winged person). (Using translation from Bukhārī 3709)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ ascended the pulpit and ordered the caller to proclaim the congregational prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Great news! Great news! Great news! Shall I inform you about your army in this battle? They have set out until they met the enemy. However, Zaid was martyred, so seek forgiveness for him. Then Ja'far took the banner and fought bravely until he was also martyred. I bear witness for him with martyrdom, so seek forgiveness for him. Then Abdullah ibn Rawaha took the banner and stood his ground until he was also martyred. So seek forgiveness for him. Then Khalid ibn Al-Walid took the banner, although he was not among the commanders, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised both of his hands and said, 'O Allah, this is a sword from Your swords, so grant it victory on that day.' It was then named Khalid, the Sword of Allah."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ gave the family of Ja'far three days to come to him. They came to him and he said, "Do not cry for my brother after today." Then he said, "Bring me the sons of my brother." We were brought to him as if we were chicks, and he ordered our heads to be shaved. Then he said, "As for Muhammad, he resembles our father, Abu Talib, and as for Abdullah, he resembles me in appearance and character." Then he took my hands and said, "O Allah, bless Ja'far in his family and bless Abdullah in his right hand transaction. O Allah, bless Ja'far in his family and bless Abdullah in his right hand transaction. O Allah, bless Ja'far in his family and bless Abdullah in his right hand transaction."

[Machine] "I was with Abu Bakr when he passed by Al-Hasan and placed his hand on his neck, then he said, 'By my father, he resembles the Prophet ﷺ. There is no one who resembles Ali except Ali himself,' and he started laughing."

The Prophet said to Hasan: "O Allah, I love him, so love him and love those who love him." He said: "And he hugged him to his chest." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 142)
[Machine] From some of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , Anas said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ giving a sermon, and Al-Hasan was on his thigh. He would speak whatever he wanted, and then kiss him and say, 'O Allah, I love him, so love him.' He would also say, 'I hope that he (Al-Hasan) will bring about reconciliation between two factions of my Ummah (nation)."
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ embracing Al-Hasan and saying, "Indeed, my son is a leader, and perhaps Allah will reconcile through him between two groups of Muslims."
[Machine] One of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , Anas ibn Malik, said: "I entered or perhaps I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn were playing on their stomachs." He (Anas) said: And he (the Prophet) said: "They are my fragrance from this Ummah."
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever loves Hasan and Husain, loves me; and whoever hates them, hates me.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 143)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Al-Hasan and Al-Hussein are the leaders of the young people of Paradise, except for the sons of the paternal aunt, Isa the son of Maryam, and Yahya the son of Zakaria."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to pray, and when he went into prostration, Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn would climb onto his back. When they tried to prevent them from doing so, he signaled for them to leave them. After he finished praying, he placed them in his lap and said, "Whoever loves me, should love these two."

I heard Abu Dhar swearing that the following Holy verse:-- "These two opponents (believers and disbelievers) disputing with each other about their Lord," (22.19) was revealed concerning those men who fought on the day of Badr, namely, Hamza, ʿAli, Ubaida bin Al-Harith, ʿUtba and Shaiba----the two sons of Rabiʿa-- and Al-Walid bin ʿUtba. (Using translation from Bukhārī 3969)

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Indeed, Al-Abbas is from me and I am from him.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said to Al-Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib, "This is Al-Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib, the most generous of the Quraysh in terms of both wealth and kinship."
[Machine] Have you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and did you witness with him when he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up with a water called Khumm, praised Allah and praised Him, and gave a sermon and mentioned. Then he said, 'O people, I am a human being and soon the Messenger of my Lord will come to me and I will respond to him. And I am leaving among you the two weighty things, the first of which is the Book of Allah, in it is guidance and light, and whoever holds fast to it and takes it, will be guided. And whoever deviates from it and abandons it will be misguided. And the people of my household, I remind you of Allah regarding the people of my household three times.' He said, 'Who are they?' He said, 'O Zaid, are not his wives from the people of his household?' He said, 'Yes, his wives are from the people of his household, but the people of his household are forbidden from receiving charity.' He said, 'Who are they?' He said, 'The family of Ali, the family of Uqail, the family of Jafar, and the family of Abbas.'"
"Al-'Abbas bin 'Abdul-Muttalib entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a state of anger while I was with him, so he said: 'What has angered you?' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is it with us and the Quraish, whenever they meet one another it is with glad faces, and when they meet us they meet us with other than that?'" He said: "So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ became angry, until his face reddened, then he said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! Faith does not enter a man's heart until he loves you for the sake of Allah, and for the sake of His Messenger.' Then he said: 'O people! Whoever harms my uncle, he has harmed me, for indeed, a man's uncle is not but the Sinw (two or three palm trees will come from a single root, so each is called a Sinw. A man's uncle is like that to his father. That is, he is like his father) of his father." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3758)

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ entered the bathroom, so I placed water for him. Then the Prophet ﷺ came and said, "Who did this?" I said, "Ibn Abbas." He said, "O Allah, enlighten him."
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicated for me that Allah should give me Al-Hukm (knowledge, understanding, judging justly, or understanding of the Qur'an) two times." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3823)

48.12 [Machine] Zaid ibn Harithah
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "O Zayd, no one is more trustworthy and beloved to me than you, so remember this." So I went and saw her baking bread, and when I saw her, my chest tightened to the point where I couldn't even look at her, knowing that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , had mentioned her. I turned my back to her and said, "O Zaynab, rejoice! The Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , has sent me to mention you." She said, "I am not the one who will do anything until my Lord commands me." So she went to her mosque, and the Quran was revealed, and the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , came to her without her permission.
The Prophet ﷺ sent an army under the command of Usama bin Zaid. When some people criticized his leadership, the Prophet ﷺ said, "If you are criticizing Usama's leadership, you used to criticize his father's leadership before. By Allah! He was worthy of leadership and was one of the dearest persons to me, and (now) this (i.e. Usama) is one of the dearest to me after him (i.e. Zaid). (Using translation from Bukhārī 3730)
[Machine] Aisha used to say that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , never sent Zaid ibn Haritha in an army except that he made him their leader. If the Messenger of Allah had lived longer, he would have appointed Zaid as his successor. Abu Abdur Rahman said, "The name of the adopted son was Abdullah Al-Bahi."
48.13 [Machine] Osama bin Zaid

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to take me and seat me on his thigh, and he would seat Hasan ibn Ali on his other thigh, then he would hug us and say, "O Allah, love them, for I love them."

Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent troops appointed Usama bin Zaid as their commander. The people criticized his leadership. Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up and said, "If you (people) are criticizing his (i.e. Usama's) leadership you used to criticize the leadership of his father before. By Allah, he (i.e. Zaid) deserved the leadership indeed, and he used to be one of the most beloved persons to me, and now this (i.e. his son, Usama) is one of the most beloved persons to me after him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 4469)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered Usama to deliver the message that people were criticizing and finding fault in his leadership. He said, "You criticize Usama and find fault in his leadership, even though you did the same to his father before. Even if he was not fit for leadership, he is the most beloved person to me. And his son after him is the most beloved person to me. Treat him well, as he is among your best." Salim said, "I have never heard Abdullah bin Umar narrate this hadith without adding, 'May Allah protect Fatima.'"

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ mentioned it and said, "A nation will be sent on the Day of Judgment between me and Jesus."
[Machine] The messenger of Allah ﷺ went out and was reciting verses to a group of idols. We then slaughtered a sheep for him and prepared it for him until it was cooked. Then the messenger of Allah ﷺ walked, while reciting verses, on a hot day in Mecca, until we reached the highest point of the valley. There, Zaid bin Amr bin Nufayl met him and greeted the other person with the greeting of the pre-Islamic era. The messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Why do I see your people mocking you?" He replied, "By Allah, it is not because they have heard anything from me, but because I see them being misguided. So I went out in search of this religion until I arrived in Yathrib where I found people worshiping Allah alone and associating partners with Him." I said, "What is this religion I'm seeking?" So I continued on until I reached the Jews of Khaybar and found them worshiping Allah and associating partners with Him. I said, "What is this religion I'm seeking?" Then I proceeded until I reached the Jews of Fadak and found them worshiping Allah and associating partners with Him. I said, "What is this religion I'm seeking?" Then a scholar from the scholars of Sham (Syria) said to me, "Are you asking about a religion that we don't know of anyone worshiping Allah alone with, except for a sheikh in the Arabian Peninsula? So I went to him and informed him of what I was searching for." He said to me, "Indeed, everyone who you see in misguidance, if he is calling to a religion, it is the religion of Allah and His angels. A prophet has emerged in your land or soon will emerge calling to it. So return and believe in him and follow him." I did not encounter another prophet after that, and I am the messenger of Allah ﷺ , riding on the camel that was beneath me. We then brought him the cooked meat, and he said, "What is this?" We said, "We slaughtered this sheep for such and such idol." He said, "I do not eat anything that has been sacrificed to anyone other than Allah." Then we dispersed, and there were two idols made of copper called Isaf and Na'ilah. The messenger of Allah ﷺ circumambulated them, and I followed him. When I passed by one of them, I touched it. The messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not touch it." We completed the circumambulation, and I said to myself, "I will touch it to see what he says." So I touched it and the messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not touch it. Did I not forbid you?" He said, "By the One who honored him and revealed the book to him, he did not accept a representative until he was honored with what he was honored with and the book was revealed to him." It was also said that Zaid bin Amr bin Nufayl died before the prophet ﷺ was sent, and the messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A nation will come on the Day of Judgment alone."

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that he met Zaid bin ʿAmr Nufail at a place near Baldah and this had happened before Messenger of Allah ﷺ received the Divine Inspiration. Messenger of Allah ﷺ presented a dish of meat (that had been offered to him by the pagans) to Zaid bin ʿAmr, but Zaid refused to eat of it and then said (to the pagans), "I do not eat of what you slaughter on your stonealtars (Ansabs) nor do I eat except that on which Allah's Name has been mentioned on slaughtering." [Machine] And they have indeed done it. I bear witness that the nine of them are in Paradise, and if I had testified regarding the tenth, I would have spoken the truth. We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Hira', and it started moving. He said, "Stay steady, O Hira', for nothing but a Prophet, a truthful person, or a martyr would be upon you." I asked, "Who was on Hira'?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Myself, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubair, Abdul-Rahman ibn Auf, and Saad." We asked, "Who was the tenth?" He said, "Myself." It was narrated to us by Ishaq ibn Ibrahim, who narrated from Ibn Idrees, who said: I heard Husayn narrating with this chain of narration. Hilal ibn Yasaf did not hear it from Abdullah ibn Dhilham. Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, who said: Ubeid ibn Sa'id narrated to us, who said: Sufyan narrated to us from Mansur, from Hilal ibn Yasaf, from Ibn Hayyan, from Abdullah ibn Dhilham, who said: Hira' moved, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he mentioned it similarly.

And if I wanted to name the ninth, I would have named myself. The residents of the mosque would call out to him, "O companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , who is the ninth?" He would respond, "You call upon me by Allah the Almighty, I am the ninth of the believers, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is the tenth."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abu Bakr is in Paradise, and Umar is in Paradise, and Uthman is in Paradise, and Ali is in Paradise." He also said another time, "And Ali is in Paradise, and Uthman is in Paradise, and Talhah is in Paradise, and Zubayr is in Paradise, and Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf is in Paradise, and Saad ibn Abi Waqqas is in Paradise, and Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah is in Paradise."
from his father, that Sa'eed bin Zaid reported to him, while in a group of people, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Ten are in Paradise: Abu Bakr is in Paradise, 'Umar is in Paradise. 'Ali and 'Uthman are in Paradise. Az-Zubair and Talhah, 'Abdur-Rahman, Abu 'Ubaidah and Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas" - He said: "So he counted these nine and was silent concerning the tenth - so the people said: 'We implore you by Allah, O Abu Al-A'war, who is the tenth?' He said: 'You have implored me by Allah. Abu Al-A'war is in Paradise.'" [Abu 'Eisa] said: [Abu Al-A'war] he is Sa'eed bin Zaid bin 'Amr bin Nufail. I heard Muhammad saying: "It is more correct than the first Hadith." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3748)

Al-ʿAqib and Saiyid, the rulers of Najran, came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ with the intention of doing Lian one of them said to the other, "Do not do (this Lian) for, by Allah, if he is a Prophet and we do this Lian, neither we, nor our offspring after us will be successful." Then both of them said (to the Prophet ﷺ ), "We will give what you should ask but you should send a trustworthy man with us, and do not send any person with us but an honest one." The Prophet ﷺ said, "I will send an honest man who Is really trustworthy." Then every one of the companions of Messenger of Allah ﷺ wished to be that one. Then the Prophet said, "Get up, O Abu 'Ubaida bin Al-Jarrah." When he got up, Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This is the Trustworthy man of this (Muslim) nation." (Using translation from Bukhārī 4380)

[Machine] I heard Hudhaifa mention the people of Najran coming to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they said, "Send unto us a trustworthy man." He said, "I will send to you a trustworthy man, a true and sincere trustee." The Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were hopeful of it, so he sent Abu Ubaidah. [330] 8143. Abdullah ibn Zalim al-Mazini said: I heard Sa'id ibn Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl say: When so and so came to Kufah, and made so and so stand to address the people, Sa'id ibn Zayd caught hold of my hand and said: Are you seeing this tyrant? I bear witness to the nine people that they will go to Paradise. If I testify to the tenth too, I shall not be sinful. I asked: Who are the nine? He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said when he was on Hira': Be still, Hira', for only a Prophet, or an ever-truthful, or a martyr is on you. I asked: Who are those nine? He said: The Messenger of Allah, AbuBakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talhah, az-Zubayr, Sa'd ibn AbuWaqqas and AbdurRahman ibn Awf. I asked: Who is the tenth? He paused a moment and said: it is I.
